I noticed many RPs (my ex included) view academia with extreme mistrust... This has to do with the nature of the propaganda, which is built off a bunch of pseudo-scientific reflections intervowen with bullcrap and logical fallacies. It's designed for the believers to feel smarter than others who haven't "done their own research" while dismissing anything actual experts have to say on the matter.

In my experience it's all about perspective and mental health. he was absolutely disconnected from his emotions. He could only talk about basic, superficial things which made it next to impossible for me to connect to him emotionally. I always had a hard time empathising with people and I resonate with the things you said about your ex. Well a lot of women are indeed unfaithful, same for a lot of men.
