As someone bisexual and born female, I have dated women who have had at least one of each of these traits, as well as men who have had the masculine equal to these traits. It's wild seeing what some people's boundaries around relationships are, really goes to show that partner preferences really truly are subjective.

Oh, I'm very anti-circumcision. It was one of the first things my husband and I talked about when we discussed having children. So, it's not a thing to admit, just something to agree on. Morals change from person to person, some people's morals are determined by their religion so in their mind it's morally wrong not to circumcise. I don't agree with them, but from a logical standpoint, I can see their point of view.

At this point I just want to see as many real-world examples as possible of this exact circumstance happening. In my lifetime, the most brutal response to "heyy wanna go get coffee together sometime?" I've ever seen from either gender is "uhhh haha... nah", unless the person asking for the coffee date is persistent after the first no. In my mind, there's a huge difference between "I have a chance" and "I deserve/am owed a chance", and I only ever see insulting rejection in the case of the latter…

Why are you assuming that all people who have abortions don't want babies? Most of the people I've met who have had abortions are also parents.

Why is it required to separate our advocacy efforts by gender? Because often the things we are advocating for/against overwhelmingly affect one gender over the other, and legislation is often passed in small batches by relevance. We need to tackle the issues that affect the largest swaths of people, protect those people, and then go over it again to cover the outliers. Segregation wasn't abolished by one sweeping law. It was broken down, topic by topic, until it became small enough to tackle loc…

I am in no way trying to dispute that mothers sign the majority of consent forms for it, because I really don't know for sure, which is why I'm asking, could you please cite your sources? Preferably more than one if that's an option.

"Ugly" people are pretty magnificent in bed when given the opportunity. Ugly means you gotta try harder, and it shows in the payoff.

I am Gen Z or Millennial, yeah. So is the primary demographic that your post is targeting. Therefore, within the demographic we're talking about here, Anime is absolutely mainstream. Gen X also watches a shocking amount of anime. Pretty much the only gens alive that have less than 1% viewership are boomers and silent gen.

It literally is though? 55% of anime consumers are from the US, and that doesn't account for other western countries. Just because the media is produced in Asia doesn't mean it's solely consumed there.

I'm not talking about hentai either, I hate that shit with a burning passion. But regular degular anime always has AT LEAST one character who is hypersexual, and the fandoms make filth out of thin air with non-sexualized characters like it's their full time job. Anime production companies and manga writers have had to start changing the canon ages of their highschool characters in order to dodge the accusations that they're fostering environments for pedophilia. Somehow, some way, all these high…

This is a wild take, but I'll play. I'd argue that religious institutions are a major influence on the social importance of monogamy, but religion itself is inherently illogical. So, if we do away with the religion fuelled social pressure for monogamy, and these traits are evolutionary, then the most logical relationship structure is hierarchical polyamory, not monogamy. I'm not even gonna touch the breeding aspect of your comment, that's just icky and not something I wanna delve into.

Not a man but this is my take: I think a lot of women view verbal vulnerability very differently from physical vulnerability in men (I also think this is dumb) after generations and generations of watching men be told it's weak to cry. I believe we all truly want to be present for the conversation, the venting, the problem solving, the encouragement. However, I think for some women, once the crying begins, that weird maternal instinct kicks in to immediately solve the problem to end the crying, …

You should tell that to all the single dads in my, a childless woman's, DMs on other socials. They don't appear to have gotten the memo.

Sure, but in my experience both as a woman and a person who has woman friends, that's mostly due to insecurities of the boyfriend more than anything. I've ended a lot of relationships because they think the 4 months they've been boning me are more important than a 15 year long relationship. Other women aren't so strong willed, I suppose.

Actually you can get a VR headset that you slot your phone into for mad cheap, and there are a lot of apps/programs for mobile that closely mimic what certain psychedelics are like, including audio. I imagine if you stay in that VR experience for long enough, it'll somehow placebo your brain into thinking it's actually on drugs, and then trigger a psychosomatic response. This one is made out of cardboard. I've tested some of the VR drug simulations (after actually doing the drugs) and there are …

In that case, caretaking mostly. Both in a physical and emotional sense. Based on what I've heard from men who have diverse friend groups, their female friends are more likely to help out with errands/appointments, help out with necessities during financial hardships, give emotional support without just being "yes men", be available in times of grief with healthy support mechanisms. Could be exclusive to my male friends I suppose, but their female friends (I guess that includes me) are more like…

You're probably not gonna like my answer, but if you take financial components out of the decision not to procreate, it's because raising children is too much work. And, not just physical work. There's a notable uptick in PPD, PPA, and PPP (especially in the US) since COVID, without the necessary rise in mental health professionals who are trained in postpartum mental illness. There's also The Internet, which is constantly berating parents for the way they raise their children, and in modern soc…

Mhm, gotcha. It's interesting comparing your comments on this thread to your post history. I hope you figure this stuff out man. It seems like you got a lot going on with your general feelings about romantic relationships, I know that can be tough. This internet random who has a lot of opposing views is rooting for you to find whatever brings you long term contentment.

The dating pool is a restaurant. The Restaurant, in fact. Shitty personalities are like moldy cheese. Boring personalities are like ice cubes, just straight up frozen tap water. I'm craving a cheese burger. Sometimes, the restaurant is out of beef, but there's still chicken sandwiches and pasta and salads on the menu, and I also like those things, and who knows, maybe what I order instead will end up being better than a cheeseburger and I just didn't know it, and now it's my new absolute favorit…

Dawg sometimes my eyes are just tired of being open. I'm constantly thinking about sex with my husband, I find him absolutely irresistible, I regularly just stare at him because I love noticing all the little details in his face. And also, sometimes my eyes close because it feels so good I can't focus on my body. Do y'all just like??? Tape your eyelids open? Do you bore your eyes into ladies' chests till their nipples fall off every time you nut? Am I on some alternate universe's version of Redd…

There are so so many positions where women can control the movement. My husband and I have a favorite, where I lie on my side and he straddles one of my legs, and I put the other over his shoulder (I'm tall, I'm sure shorter women could wrap the top leg around their partner's waist or something). He grabs the hip of the top leg, and I grab his knee, and we thrust into each other. I'm in a small minority of women who can orgasm through PiV alone, but it certainly isn't easy. This position however…

Since we're just making stuff up now without citing sources, I've officially decided that instead of vaginas getting loose after copious amounts of sex, it's actually the case that every time a penis enters a vagina, the man's penis gets .001 mm smaller, and that's why men think all the vaginas are getting looser. We'll blame it on uhhh, the moisture. That seems like something a surprising amount of the population will believe.

You kind of already deconstructed your own argument for us. Neither masculinity nor femininity are "lies" or solely accessible to the sex assigned to either. They're just collections of socially learned behaviors. From an anatomical and biological standpoint, there are pros and cons to both binary sexes. I'd honestly rather have an easier time building muscle mass, no menstrual cycle, a libido that isn't so emotion-dependent, easier forms of sterilization. I think the importance we put on both m…

I mean, yeah. Humans are selfish, of course we only care when it directly affects us. You don't see us walking around cemeteries and joining in on whatever funeral is going on cause we care so much about this stranger that died. Human nature be human naturing. Can we recognize that men pushed this standard in the first place though? Men made women out to be helpless little babies who couldn't possibly be more than wives and mothers for almost forever, and then actively made fun of one another fo…

Makeup or dance as an art form, video games/TCGs/table tops, certain sports, gyms, car shows, fashion spaces. There's a myriad of places/activities that appeal to both sexes, but are categorized as "masculine" or "feminine" which makes the perceived dominant audience almost hostile towards the less common audience. I'm a huge nerd, I play video games, TCGs, table tops, LARPing, etc. significantly more than my husband. It took a long time to establish myself separate from him as a valid and indiv…

Women absolutely already pursue relationships, but I'm of the opinion that "Rejection Sensitivity Disorder" has kind of become like herpes - almost everyone has some degree of it, but it may lay dormant until it doesn't. Also, humans in general have put so much importance behind our sexual value, discarding the components that build lasting relationships like shared interests/hobbies, intimacy, ability to maintain individuality, a similar sense of humor. We see ourselves as the sum of our parts …

I'm mostly speaking in rudimentary ideas around the definition of "human needs" with every point I made here, so specifically regarding the utilization of prostitution and the idea of the "community harlot", these are indeed just concepts to address the structure of needs and how they function in our species.

That's because men (as a group, not as individuals) tend to see sex as a basic need that doesn't necessarily need to be worked for to obtain. We need food, so we need to go to work to buy food or grow/hunt food. We need shelter, so we need to go to work to pay for shelter or build shelter. When sex is defined as a basic need in this context, it is often with the belief that the person needing sex shouldn't work or pay for the sex. If you need sex, and you aren't finding the type of sexual intima…
