Does your friend dislike being more dominant over him? If not, it seems kind of like a waste to dump someone who seems pretty good so far. You could argue that it's possible he is porn sick, maybe your friend could ask him if he watches fetish porn or something. You might just come off nosy or rude to your friend, though, if she doesn't think this is an issue at all.

... and obviously that's not OP. Jesus, no need to be so bitter. The intention here was that OP's dad was kind and considerate enough to get OP some nice things after what presumably was a rough time in the hospital. My dad couldn't fry some eggs or bring a blanket to my mother when she had some benign tumors in her uterus? (don't remember all too clearly but something along those lines) surgically removed. It's awesome to see that OP's dad isn't a good-for-nothing like most.
