I think this is perfectly reasonable in prinicple (if not specific) for the homekeeper looking after the breadwinner. Not keen on it being "husband" and "wife" roles, but the roles of "Person working away from the home all day" and "Person in charge of keeping the home" seem fine.

I think that is a great thing to come out of the CoE. They absolutely should be free to explore themselves in that way free from bullying or ridicule (in so far as the school can prevent this) but especially free from ridicule or bulling from CoE teachers and faculty members.

None of these things are things I'm disagreeing with. I'm saying that the law says that your emotional maturity is not fully developed at 14. Therefore saying a 14 year old is as mature as a 25 year old is incorrect.

People don't respect the police because they feel largely ineffective for the kinda of issues that those people deal with. edited for clarification and to say - no I don't have a source. edited to say the Police and crime report actually suggests that since 2003 (the first year they asked it) over all confidence in the Police force has increased every year (and they scrapped the height requirement in 1999 apparently). I know this doesn't directly relate to wether people respect the Police or not…

Be careful though, by isolating yourself from the mainstream news you lose touch of the context behind a lot of the discussion. Posted this because I'm really glad to see that the mother attached the negative stereotypes of men that were presented in the original piece! I'm sure people can pick holes in specific parts or phrasing but I like the fact that she challenged the idea thats often pushed around that that blokes are terrible home makers. The dad went from being out of control having to deal with the family morning routine and making terrible food to being in control and able to cook for his family.

It isn't about telling them they can't like them. It is about telling them they can like whatever they want and removing the gendered social pressure. If your kid wants to play with a building set or a tea set, you let them, rather than telling them they SHOULD like something specific because it is gendered.

There is a name for someone who sexually abuses children: A pedo. Actually they are called child abusers or child molesters. A Paedophile is someone who is sexually attracted to children - you can be a child abuser or a child molester without being a paedophile. The issue I see with him is that he has almost set himself up as an Anti feminist first and an MRA second. The points he makes in the manifesto are sound, if not a little emotionally charged (for a manifesto) but I just can't take people seriously who would use such divisive tactics. I think hopefully when they reach proper equality they can realise that offering BOTH people equal parental leave is not feasible. I personally prefer the Tories idea of Shared Parental leave (on a sliding scale to be decided by the parents).

Not really. Though I am very insular when I work out so I don't tend to talk much to people at the gym. That being said my brother is borderline cover model size and he juiced to help him do it (again, perfectly fine imo, just not something I would do). It has had an affect on me. I never used to really care what I looked like. I was a bit skinnyfat and didn't really mind. Meeting my wife opened my eyes to the "ripped and massive" man that is common in the media. It never affected my self esteem (I am very confident anyway) but it did make me start to work out. I would hit the gym, read lots about it and try and eat well. All this while cooking, walking the dogs, working as a teacher (and many other things). I could squeeze in 3 workouts a week…
