Single dad here. Never had any kind of problem like this. No one's ever commented on how "odd" our relationship is and no one's ever had the gall to ask me where my child's mother is. This isn't to say that things like this don't happen, but there's reason to second guess this story's provenance. Clearly we're not dealing with people who have any intention of entering any kind of civil discourse. A reasonable person would read the stories laid out here and know that something was wrong and that there must be a way for mens' rights proponents and womens' rights proponents to meet in the middle and find some kind of common ground that works for both of them. Years ago, I described a new co-worker as affable, which means easy to get along with. She overheard me and proceeded to call me out and embarrass me in front of our co-workers because she assumed it was an insult and that made her really uncomfortable.

...if they're not against mens' rights, then why is their subreddit entitled "Against Mens' Rights?" Also, on right side of the graphic, there's an alert in blue text which says in part: "Due to MRA tactics of ... violence..." I've been a member of this group for many months and have never seen or heard of anyone suggesting any kind of violent activity at all. Seems like a straw tactic.

Exactly what I was thinking. What did her parents think? Did they do anything about it? Did they talk to her? Did they stand by her? Are they still acquainted with the accused? These are answers I feel like are important to the story, but I suppose it's likely that they weren't answered because they were advised not to...
