Usually when a man says his ex is crazy and psycho, that’s a huge red flag. Unless they take some responsibility, and even then I’d proceed with caution. Also, your age depends on whether dating a divorced man is even appropriate. I’m in my 40’s. Men my age who haven’t been married don’t know how to be in a LTR, but in your 20’s and early 30’s, avoid divorced men. I talked to a guy who said that his ex-wife was very controlling, then went on to say that his own work schedule was very demanding a…

Exactly! My mom has been married for more than 50 years. How many red flags can you spot (keep in mind it was the 60’s when she got married). She married at 18 to a man who was 24 in order to get out of an abusive home. My dad is verbally abusive (to me and my sister, as well as my mom). My sister and I both married abusive men (my sister is currently divorcing her second abusive alcoholic husband). My dad refuses to cook or take care of basic needs for himself unless he’s home alone (my parents…

My mom (she’s in her 70’s now) has always said she needed a wife. 🤯

This is Golden. I was also married to a similar man… and he simultaneously wanted me to be successful so he would look successful while also resenting my success because I outshone him. There was no way to make him happy. After we divorced he badgered me about my work and income while I took time to put myself and my mental health first for the first time in my life. He HATED it… I just landed an amazing job that pay wells and he hates that too (the only reason I’m still in contact with him is b…

All I tell them is that I’m looking for a serious relationship, I don’t do hookups or FWB, and that I don’t date smokers or drug users. Otherwise, they have to figure it out on their own, and I set boundaries early to see how they respond.

I’ve had guys tell me they like a “strong” woman but what they mean is someone they don’t have to spend money on who will give them access to their body early. Nope. Byeeee boyyyyy

Men don’t read profiles more than half the time. I tried OLD again (it lasted a week) and I have mentioned twice that I don’t date smokers. Yet, more than half of the men that liked me had that they smoke. Only a few times did someone clarify that it was medical marijuana (which I note is Ok since it’s legal). Everyone else got blocked immediately because if they can’t take the time to read my profile, they’re not going to take the time to treat me right.

I recently got into diamond art. It’s something I can do in the evenings and on weekends to unwind. I’ve ended up watching some really interesting TV shows and movies while doing it instead of just scrolling through my phone. And I’ve created some great pieces for my house. It’s not very expensive (although some pieces can be) and a great way for me to process day while doing something fun and interesting. Each kit comes with everything you need, although I got a light board that’s been hugely h…

See, this is how I know I’ve done a good job with my teenage son. His stepmother has argued with him over abortion. She asked him, “don’t you think you should have a say if she’s pregnant with your child?” He straight up told her, “No, it’s her body, not mine.” I’ve gotten into so many arguments with my ex-husband because I raised our kids to have autonomy over their own bodies and to understand consent. My son dyed his hair pink, my ex blamed me for teaching him that he can do whatever he wants…

Awe, poor widdle baby boy can’t get a girl to talk to him! Must be something wrong with her, couldn’t possibly be that she just wants to be left alone! What girl wouldn’t want to talk to such an amazing TEENAGER? ☝️That’s all sarcasm in case it wasn’t clear. My son is 18. I hope I did a better job raising him than this. Consent starts with us mamas. It’s up to us to teach our boys and girls that they own their bodies, and nobody is owed anything from them outside of decent respect. Cause no harm…

I neighbor of mine got pregnant at 16 or 17 (still in high school). Broke up with the dude. Met another dude and had a baby with him a few years later. They moved in together. He held the baby out the window of their high rise apartment (fortunately the baby was ok) and after she left him, he threw perfume or something on her face and lit her on fire while she was walking their daughter. Broad daylight on the street in public. She has scars on her face and neck. She went on to have a third baby …

I just… WTF did I just read? This woman has zero boundaries. This is exactly why boundaries exist. And also why I won’t introduce a new partner to my kids until we’re exclusive for at least 6 months.

Omg, so this guy was self-described as undatable so he settled for the one woman who would date him, and now because he got in shape he think he’s a fucking porn star? The audacity, the delusions of grandeur! Also it’s clear he has no respect for his wife because she dated him. Basically he was such a loser he doesn’t respect her for being with a loser, even though that loser was him! This is a case where the grass isn’t greener. He’s going to be shocked when he dumps his wife and then wonders w…

OMG yes he was! And the only reason he gave Belle a “chance” was basically because his selfish actions cursed his entire staff and they were like, “Dude, you’re about to curse us for eternity, that’s not cool, how about just not being a huge dick to the one chance we all have at turning back into our human selves?” And he was like, “hurumph, fine, I guess.”

Which Disney men are HV? Prince Florian (Snow White) - kisses unconscious woman without her consent Prince Charming (Cinderella) - is “in love” with a woman he can’t recognize either on sight or by talking to her, has to use a shoe as the only way to confirm her identity Prince Eric (The Little Mermaid) - “falls in love” with Ariel without ever having a conversation with her Beast/Prince Adam (Beauty and The Beast) - kidnaps Belle, holds her as a prisoner against her will, is verbally and emotio…

I would have clued my younger self in that my parents were not healthy examples and to learn what a healthy relationship looks like before getting into one.

I can’t believe some women think this. It’s crazy! Especially white men. Omg there are so many LV white men, and they think they’re amazing and gifts to women just for existing. Meanwhile there are so many video-game playing, uneducated, under-employed, fat, entitled losers. And don’t get me started on the “redneck” LVM. Where I live they’re a dime a dozen and want to take you camping (ie have you take care of them while they drink beer and go fishing because you’re “cool” and “low maintenance”)…

I love your energy! My husband of 20 years told me he didn’t love me or want to be married to me anymore so I filed for divorce, bought a house, and moved out, onward and upward. Fuck scrotes.

Having a guy jack rabbit you for 3 minutes because he can’t keep it harder for longer than that isn’t an immensely pleasurable experience for you? Weird.

I once mentioned that I read “The Lord of The Rings” trilogy but the second book was really long and hard to get through. I didn’t type out the name of it because I didn’t feel like it, we were having a casual conversation and it didn’t seem important. He felt the need to let me know the second book is called “The Twin Towers.” He was also smug about not owning a TV, which he promised was not him being smug. The single time we talked on the phone all he wanted to do was ask me about my divorce u…

We’ve been saying for decades that we can’t walk alone at night, we have to have safety procedures with friends to go on a date, we have to constantly be on alert, we can’t leave a drink unattended, etc. But now that a group of random people (including 3 men) were shot in daylight, it’s a problem. This is Bill Cosby all over again. How many women came forward with accusations, but until a man said it, nobody fucking cared. I’m so sick of women being ignored, of being mansplained, of being raped …

I heard a new one recently - CNC = Consent Non-Consent. Basically it’s roleplaying a rape fantasy where you give consent to act like you’re not giving consent. Even with safe words, there’s no fucking way.

The only difference between men today and men from any other time is that they don’t have all of the power anymore. Boo fucking hoo!
