It might sound stupid, but the day I realized I could buy my own damn flowers was a revelation! I've been in many relationships and have NEVER received any even though I love flowers! Going forward, I'll treat myself how I wish to be treated; with respect, dignity, and flowers every week 💅💅💅

I know! The worst is they don't realize that it's a backhanded compliment because we know their inner thoughts are that women are incapable of being funny

Glad you got out!!! I don't get the appeal of this narrative... Why would anyone buy into it (women or men)? I hate that most people don't have the balls to question society's expectations and ask themselves if that's truly what they want...

Legally Blonde is my ultimate feel-good movie! I love how they didn't force Elle to renounce her femininity in order to have a good ending; quite the contrary, her sense of sisterhood and her femininity is what makes her succeed! We love to see it! ❤️

One time at a work event I was mingling and making jokes and one of my coworkers says in an astonished tone "wow, you're actually so funny!" Like?? Yes women have charisma and can hold conversation??

I know right? Isn't the point of marriage to spend the rest of your life with a person you cherish and love? Shouldn't it be something you're ecstatic about? It's like when people refer to their partners as "the ol' ball and chain"... If you don't like the person and don't want them around for the rest of your life don't marry them??

1000% this!!! Here's something I realized and remind myself daily: DON'T LOWER YOUR STANDARDS FOR OTHERS WHILE SIMULTENEOUSLY RAISING THEM FOR YOURSELF. Why should you be the perfect girlfriend but it's ok if he's LV? If you work hard to be the best you, so should he. Period!

most men are so spoiled they just automatically expect it But somehow women are "high maintenance" for asking the same in return. The system is rigged, always has been.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
