I agree in-person dates are important when the guy lives far 👌 I am about to meet up with him, will update after!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/08/20 04:38 PM

Damn cause I consider texting a behavior, and for me it’s very important to have a guy communicate often
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/08/20 04:32 PM

Isn’t texting an action?

I’m a student too and I’m constantly dealing with this switch to online lmao My finals ended up optional at the last minute
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/08/20 04:15 PM

Haha I doubt it! I have someone in town who wants a casual hook up, and he doesn’t send more than a sentence. if he doesn’t get his casual hook up, (which he won’t cause I don’t casually hook up), he’ll be gone with the wind 👌

Isn’t it probably that thing where you work out an alternate exam time with the professor? Maybe something happened
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/08/20 04:06 PM
-13

Eh he’s saying he might be called in suddenly to take an online final and doesn’t know when, other option is wait a couple weeks until he’s in town again

I totally wasn’t feeling it right before though, because I was like, I’ve only talked to this man for a few days, what if we meet up and don’t have much to talk about with each other yet? I agree though, my ex was super flaky and it always had me anxious about whether he would dip or not. I don’t do well with flakiness but the sudden change of final exam times feels justified here 👌

Haha you’d be surprised how rare this bare minimum decency is! The other guy I’m talking to was like “when are we gonna chill? drinks probably?” This dude has an excuse cause he works volunteers and goes to school, and is only in the city every other weekend

I think that it's normal to desire a loving relationship. But ask yourself, do you make yourself happy? Do you have fun on your own? I like to paint/draw, play video games, swim/run, volunteer, and hang out with my friends. When I go on a date with somebody and have a bad or boring time, I've learned that I do have more fun on my own than I do with that person. It's not just any man you want, but someone who adds to your life. And you can date actively to find that guy

Just because he’s nice doesn’t mean you’re attracted to him There’s plenty of men who are both attractive and kind. And, you actually don’t need a man at all. And if you don’t feel pretty, change up your look, work on your body, accept who you are and love yourself fully. You’re always somebody’s type

Why the attack? 😂 this man I barely knew couldn’t provide social media so I cut it
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/08/20 06:41 PM

Haha I'd love to do a legitimate background check on him. Can you really check something like someone's relationship status with a first name and a job?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/08/20 01:55 AM

Social media is huge now, it’s pretty strange to not have it at my age And again it’s just an amazing background checker when you’re meeting someone online who is 2,000+ miles away Besides, tinder is social media too

Bruh, I get it, but don’t forget that covert narcissists will love the opportunity to brag about their specialness by “not” having social media. I like people who show proof that they have solid friends, and social media is an extremely common way to socialize. Narcissists love it and neurotypical people love it. If you mean the trait of showing off your life, that’s not the full extent of NPD. Narcissists are abusive energy vampires.

I'll definitely agree that a narcissistic person is more likely to use facebook. But social media being the cause of a person's narcissism traits? In 72% of the population? That seems a little far-fetched. if someone is a narcissist usually love-bombing is their biggest give-away. (which is extreme. Like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nH7Yleh2YEU)
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/08/20 01:24 AM

Okay well I don't think everyone on social media has narcissism or is an exhibitionist In 2019, 72% of the population use social media and surely you aren't claiming that 72% of the population is narcissistic? https://www.pewresearch.org/internet/fact-sheet/social-media/ Reddit is also social media

How does he handle his business contacts then? Damn social media is huge now-a-days and everyone I know has it

It's a beautiful background check for me. If he's got a serious girlfriend, she's going to want to be on his social media. In fact, every one of my friends and family has social media of some kind, ranging from my age (24) to my brothers (30s) to my parents (60s) and they all show their relationships on their social media
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/08/20 12:56 AM
2

That sounds amazing! I don't think every person who travels for work cheats, but with some young guy on 2,000 miles away from me with no social media, (very good looking guy I might add) I'd like to see his instagram or something Would've saved my time with the last one, who did have a girlfriend while we were talking

This is almost the whole extent of the convo 😂

He did invite me, his texts were consistent, no weird behavior, but we didn’t FaceTime at all during our relationship I found out because he told me lol I did pick up on lower sex drive right before I broke up with him though 👌👌

This is true too! Social media and respectful treatment are both green flags
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/08/20 12:30 AM

Oh this guy? I mean I won’t be talking to him if he “doesn’t have any social media” at age 26 except for Tinder and a non-personal blog.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/08/20 12:29 AM
1

What if they cheat on you with random hook ups though? It’s much easier to hide than having 2 entire relationships. My ex was very reliable and responded in a timely manner, he’d just hook up while traveling. Was never mean either. I guess that’s just one case though
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/08/20 12:26 AM
3

Good treatment isn’t enough for me, I need a background check before meeting 😄 a cheater can treat you great actually
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/08/20 12:22 AM
-4

Over the phone, that wouldn’t be enough for me. I’d need a social media account with lots of activity. He recommended a non-personal blog to me and that’s not enough these days, he seems too sketchy to go out with. That is good advice though to not let them know that you’re asking as a background check
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/08/20 12:20 AM

you never know, the last guy I went out with was talking to me while still dating his ex.

My ex travelled for work regularly and he cheated on me with a prostitute It might not cross your mind because you're a good and moral person, but not every person who travels for work is good and moral. Some are opportunistic
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/08/20 11:55 PM

Oh for me it was the fact that he regularly travels for work and didn't have any social media

I don't have to know guys well to think they're attractive. That doesn't mean i'd sleep with them haha (Edit) alriiiight alriiight I get it, don’t let them know they’re hot.

Some guy on the Tinder subreddit called me jealous when I wondered why this girl seemed to badly want sex with a guy. I told him I just didn’t understand what all the fuss is about when she could get a vibrator, and that hook ups aren’t nearly as good. And of course his profile is him asking r/Tinder how he can get matches, because he feels he’s too average and women on there don’t want to have sex with him. Then I went back to studying

There’s no subtext, I just don’t trust every guy who implies they’re honest
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/08/20 05:34 AM

Oh god thank you. I found out today through Venmo that some other woman bought my ex pizza, and it really triggered me. Especially after another guy tried to talk to me on a dating app while still dating his girlfriend. I’m trusting men less and less. But I’m finishing my degree

I was horny but then I just used my vibrator instead No non-committal lying cheater attached

The average height in my country is 5’9! I’m 5’9 as well. I just went on a date with a doctor who is 6’1 but he wasn’t attractive in other ways. Tomorrow I have a date with an engineer who is 6’2 and more fit and my type, and he seems nice so far as well. Lots of tall single men around, maybe this app would help you filter out all the shorter guys? I’m only shown men who are at least 6’1 (USA btw)

Same imagine saying this to someone who says they want to be a therapist one day Lmao imagine doing that to a doctor and saying you believe in essential oils instead of chemo Immediate block, I don’t care that he’s cute/tall/financially stable if he has views like this. It’ll turn into me being his free therapist 🙄

I think that song is so manipulative. “You don’t want to date me, I’m not marriage material and I get that, but what if everyone was going to die tomorrow? In this circumstance, would you disregard my flaws as a partner and come over because of the leftover emotional attachment you still feel for the relationship? You know, the same attachment you’re trying to get rid of, because we’re not good together? Consider these facts and maybe consider coming over to sleep with me, no strings attached, b…

You’re just cutting people out that you don’t want, and you want to get to a place where you don’t need any guy, because then you won’t settle for a LVM. Only make space in your life for HVM or no man, and get to a place where you’re fine either way
