FYI, she consented to having her voice recorded on your answering machine (she knew she was being recorded). Any threats, or whatever incoherent ramblings that are left on your machine are, in most jurisdictions, admissible in court.

Physical abuse is a default setting with some, most learned it from their parents, This is what your child will learn. If you don’t have enough self respect or care enough about yourself to leave, think about your child and the absolute shit-show of a family he is growing up in. As I have said on here before, when it comes to abuse, the first time you’re a victim, the next time you’re a volunteer.

Perhaps you could make certain I have this right. You read something posted on an Internet forum, posted by a stranger(s) who is unaware of your relationship dynamic, fully enacted said advice without any forethought as to how that might affect your relationship, or whether it was even necessary, took on unnecessary responsibility (that by your own admission your wife was handling just fine) and are now wondering if you should further remove responsibility from your wife/ first mate? Have I got …

I dated a girl in high school that lived about 30 minutes away, so I didn’t get to see her much. When we’d get together she would always start a confrontation, I’d blow it off, but it always seemed to happen, I broke up with her after a few months and later found out her single mom had been abused by her dad and that stepdad was also abusive. Most of us on here probably learned our former BP ways from a dad who’s motto was “happy wife, happy life”, I know it was and still is my dad’s motto. Your…

Actually, she could have multiple kids from multiple men. She may already have multiple kids from multiple men. Have your kids been genetically tested to ensure that they are in fact your kids?

You're not doing your kids any favours by staying with a woman for whom you have negative feelings. Your kids might not know what's going on, but they will emulate what they believe is a 'normal' relationship as exhibited by you and your wife. Plan out your exit strategy and implement it as soon as your ducks are in a row.

There’s a line in Women’s Infidelity II, something like, men who cheat buy flowers, women who cheat give blowjobs.

Oh yeah, that shit’ll just piss you off. But if he “never suspected cheating” I hope he doesn’t get too much sand up his nose, what with his head buried that deep in the sand.

You’re way too invested in this “relationship” to see this advice objectively.
/r/askMRP04/11/18 02:18 PM

You haven’t read enough of the sidebar to know that MRP isn’t the type of place where your feelings trump the basics of MRP. That’s why the initial advise is to lift (get your testosterone flowing) and read the sidebar (get some basic knowledge). You seem to think we’re worried about your feelings...nope.

Same, but thirty years in. I think I’ve finally let go of the anger (especially) at myself. She has stated to others that she dated "jerks" before she met "nice guy" me. I am well aware of the underlying meaning of both terms, this has been the hardest part of the anger to overcome, but i think I'm finally passed it. I read MMSLP about six years ago, and have just nibbled MRP until now, but think ive finally choked it down.

A buddy’s couch or a hotel/motel, whatever’s in the budget. Otherwise as others have said, you’re heading to jail, hospital then jail, or worst case the morgue. She’s wanting out and you’re gonna be the scapegoat. The thing about domestic violence is that the first time you’re a victim, the next time(s) you’re a volunteer.

Not sure where you got the audiobook reference from but I agree with your thoughts on audiobooks. I teach college part-time and suggest to my students that their notes be hand-written. There's something about the hand to brain and eye to brain process that makes the information take better hold, IMO.

This is not the place to take the "the best defence is a good offence" tact, these guys DGAF about you to care about your personal attacks. Listen or not, no one offering advice on here is aiming their comments at you personally, they have all said these things to a long list of people before you, myself included. The advice offered is tried and true, but it takes hard work, reading the sidebar, lifting, LOTS of introspection, all without being butthurt. You can't change her, but if you lift and…

Agreed, the groom is an accessory at a wedding. If it was just about getting married, you would go to City Hall and sign a marriage certificate. The wedding is all about the bride, do not fuck up HER day, say what should be said in the situation. Or better yet don't get married at all, and go have an awesome life!

OP, I have to agree with u/wkndatbernardus, you allowed this to happen. You said she owned the condo. Are you factoring in the income from the rental of the condo, the active and passive appreciation in the condo, as well as the increase in equity that could allow you to buy an additional condo which could also be rented, when you are figuring out her financial contribution? Once the equity is sufficient in the condo, she could use that equity to purchase another rental property (duplexes are gr…

You're 21 and you're holding a B-Day party for yourself. Get a couple buddies together, crack a couple cold ones after playing some B-Ball (or whatever you're into) and pretend you are a grown ass man, not a sixteen-year-old girl that needs a birthday party.

Have you considered buying a duplex and letting the other tenant pay your mortgage, or at least a part of it, for you? Get that one paid down to the point you can pull the equity to do it again. If you're buying a place anyway, might as well having it paying dividends!

It has been my experience that women with fake boobs tend to be prone to cheating. Fake boobs may have to do with approval seeking, which could easily go hand in hand with cheating.

You are doing everything you have described for her. She is way up on the pedestal that you’ve placed her on and she knows it. Do what you need to do to have be a high value man living a happy life, preferably with your wife and kids, but as gets repeated on here, the stay plan is the same as the go plan.

a bunch of women get jealous if their men watch porn or jerk off. like it's betrayal or something. haven't you noticed this? "I don't let my husband look at porn." Preventing hubby from watching porn is a source of power, in that the wife has the only means of satisfying hubby's needs, her only real source of power.

OP may not be from a Western nation and may not see our options. Regardless, “meeting it head on”, sounds more like you’re laying on the tracks waiting to be run over. Best you can do is get out of the way of this freight train.

Early in the MAP This is good advice for us noobs, initiate at bedtime, get hard 'no' lay there without options because we have a weak frame or get up and look like we are butt-hurt. I'll go with OP's advice at this early stage.

I've had FitBits and a Garmin, both work well; however, the FitBits (I've had two) only lasted 9 and 8 months respectively. If you buy a FitBit I would suggest buying the extended warranty. The FitBit seems to do a better job of tracking sleep.
