It has worked, though. There is proof against your fears, and his theater is just one example. The UCB has also engaged in massive efforts to improve its diversity, as has Second City—and SC's efforts have yielded the likes of Key & Peele. In fact, it is counter-productive, because if you consistently accept less talented people from certain demographics That is not what Mullaney is saying to do, and that is not the purpose of any theater diversity program that I know of.

But, what I meant was, I could tell you a lot more about what is being done and what is reasonable to do in American comedy, because I know much, much more about it. I know how to get into it, how people tend to move up in it, etc. The only thing I know about UK comedy is that it's a much more closed system.

In fairness, what they actually probably did was simply fail to target the email correctly. There's no way they don't know that men use their service, that's really basic demographic info. Yeah. Wired has a pretty good article on it. The argument that while sodium and chlorine can be dangerous, salt is not, is not a very convincing or reassuring one, to me. People bash the FDA, and at times rightly so, but their trial standards are pretty tight, compared to most places in the world. I wish RISUG would undergo American or FDA-supervised trials.

Well, they still slice open the scrotum and pull out the tubes, so they can inject them, but yes, quite minor. & it's "RISUG," for what it's worth. Personally, I'm uncomfortable with the non-short-term reversibility, the fact that an irradiated substance is going to have a new home inside me, nor the fact that we don't quite understand why it works. I got downvoted because, as I said, rabid hivemind. This subreddit's rapidly proven itself to be rife with angry, vitriolic, misogynist people. I've even seen people proudly proclaim themselves misogynists, it's pretty bizarre. I mainly keep it frontpaged because sometimes there are some interesting news stories or debates, but you can bet that anything about circumcision is bound to be a real shitshow.

Try visiting a local library or, even better, a university library. They usually at the very least subscribe to something like JSTOR, which is a fabulous repository of journals from every subject.
