First of all, I'm not a kid. Second of all, I think you're reading too much into my comment. I'm merely stating that this story probably isn't true. It has all of the elements of every other zinger story that people like to share on social networking sites. It reads just like the black guy in the airplane, the little kid going door to door campaigning for democrats, about 239487239487 veteran stories, etc... It has a good message for sure. I just don't think it happened. EDIT: Just noticed that …

This is about as real as the story I always see on facebook about the black guy on the airplane getting moved to first class.

Shit, I'm even still somewhat of a blue piller myself. I'm relatively beta, and I don't have the desire to implement very many red pill tactics. I mainly come here for some perspective to help balance out my little bitch tendencies. However, even I, as a beta fuckstick, can acknowledge that sometimes, women can be the ways mentioned in our stories.

I gotta back this guy up. My close friend and former roommate is a pretty big guy and was in charge of a specific area's security for a world touring band's show one night back in 2010. It was his only time doing it. It's all about who you know, and the opportunity presented itself. Anyway, he said that two girls offered to give him a blowjob to meet the singer of the band. He told them no. He wasn't about to lose connections with the band as he is a musician himself, and he was strictly told no…

"I consider this subreddit to be a male "safe space", and am keen enough to know the difference between 'locker room talk' and true misogyny/abuse." That is fantastic perspective. Thank you for everything.

What they're saying is just because you and I like being circumcised doesn't make it ok to circumcise everyone else. He never said it was ok to circumcise everyone else.

The funny thing is, to us and rational people this is a "duh" kind of thing. However, many of the arguments I've heard backing the bias in the favor of women in custody cases use the idea that women are scientifically and inherently more nurturing and therefor better to have as the one with primary custody. I'm all for spreading shit like this around.

"I was going through a difficult period in my life and trying to cope with my son’s illness." I don't give a shit that her son is/was sick. The apology would have seemed more sincere without the pity play in it.

'I just want him to be out and freed,' his daughter told police earlier this year. Then, 'I will be free on the inside'. Still selfish. She's worried about him being freed so she can benefit.

I wasn't really talking about the prayer portion of it.
/r/MensRights13/07/14 05:40 AM

Online petitions are like prayer- thousands of people doing absolutely nothing for the self-satisfaction of telling themselves "I'm helping!" And in this regard, those petitions do more harm than good. There are people who COULD HAVE done something useful for the cause, but sign a petition instead, thinking it's doing something. It's just taking people who could do something away from a useful action and redirecting them to a useless action.

I'm too lazy to look this up, but I believe in NZ, the law defines rape as a male penetrating a female without consent. It's not a gender neutral law. So, the female couldn't be accused of rape. Maybe a lesser charge.

Kind of insane right? He was acting like an angsty teenager about it and people were upvoting him based on the simple fact that he aligned with their view on the story.

Valentines were mass produced in the US in the 1800s.
/r/MensRights13/06/14 10:09 PM

Good point, but what I'm saying was there was already demand there for a very long time. They capitalized on the already existing custom.

The gift giving part has been around long before the corporations that profit from it. I think it's more a matter of the demand already being there rather than corporations manufacturing the demand themselves.
/r/MensRights13/06/14 08:20 PM

True, but the reason I brought that up is I often see people throw around the myth that "Valentine's Day was created and/or manipulated by hallmark/candy company/blah blah for OMG MAX PROFIT" when it just isn't true.
/r/MensRights13/06/14 07:35 PM

Valentine's Day is not a good example of a holiday being created so that corporations impel you to spend. The romantic and gift giving part of Valentine's day has been around since the 1700's.

Overall, upvote for by far the best counter to my argument. The prosecution was only required to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that she put a knife to the officer's throat, not that she intended to kill. This part, I'm honestly curious about. I've been looking for proof of this since you mentioned it, but I am not finding it in any documents online. Would this be outlined in jury instructions? If this is indeed the case in Vermont, I'd love to see it.

"As was said pointing a knife at someone is isnt attempted murder either but if you "accidentally" shot someone while trying to execute a warning shot while you are trying to rob or intimidate someone it is murder." This is your post I was responding to when I said "manslaughter". I was saying that specific circumstance you gave my that I just quoted for you would have been manslaughter. I assumed since you said "murder" that the person in your scenario would be dead. Again, I literally never sa…

Obviously you can legally be charged with it, since this woman was. Conviction? Not as easy, considering "trying" to kill them is often the difference between manslaughter and murder in the courts. Prosecution had to establish intent in this case, and they weren't able to.
/r/PussyPass08/06/14 05:05 PM

EDIT: Whoops. Thought I was replying to someone else. Anyway, the situation you're talking about is often manslaughter.

You realize what I'm saying has nothing to do with the morality of it? I'm only talking about the LEGALITY of it, which I have NO control over. Those rules are set by others, but I guess you can act like a 12 year old if that's how you want to deal with things.

Ok, look, I totally subscribe to the idea that women get a pass in a lot of court situations just for being women... But, this woman being acquitted of attempted murder is not as insane as it sounds. If you haven't watched the video, do it. I didn't see anything in the video that doesn't back up her claim that she just put the blade up to his throat in an escape attempt. She didn't go up and slash. She almost looked timid as she put it near his throat. It is possible to put a blade to someone's …

If I was Charlie in this situation, I would be so grateful that you told me. You saved that guy's life from going down a road that he SHOULD have a choice to not go down. The gravity of what you did for that man is huge. I know that breaking up a family sucks, but you should be proud for doing the right thing.

Well of course. There at certainly biases. Let me be more specific. I think there is less bashing of the opposing view points in mensrights than other subreddits I visit. I know it sounds silly...but take a stroll in /r/feminism , /r/Democrat and , /r/republican ...may more bashing of the other sides in those. /r/libertarian is pretty biased too...just against government rather than other parties
