I don't entirely blame the people. This was more or less orchestrated. People are responsible to getting themselves out of the situation we're in, especially today when we have the information and know what happened and how to fix it. But it takes time. And the "powers that be" who pushed us this direction will continue to push against changing things back.

I agree 100%. Which is why I changed the part I quoted from normal to responsible. What the normal American does with money today is fucking stupid.

Then you're not normal. The vast majority of people carry a balance. It is the normal thing to do. That does not make it the right or smart thing to do. Take a chill pill, ma'am.

paying your credit card off every month like a responsible person A normal person today doesn't pay it off in full every month Medical insurance and income tax comes out of your paycheck Medical insurance doesn't come out of everyone's paycheck. For some it is an expense. And then there are additional types of insurance that are appropriate to buy based on your life/lifestyle.

How do we revert this? WW3? Possibly. Great quote I love, though do not remember where I heard it.. "Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. Weak men create hard times."

Off topic, but gotta ask...how are you a bouncer and a teacher? I am also a teacher. I can't imagine working until two AM, even just a couple nights a week.

I'm a fan of biblical names. Matthew. John. Noah. Abraham. Moses. Samson. Etc. But that's just me.

I don't want to wait until i'm 30, my youth will almost be over I'm 31. Look 20. And my life is better (and more "youthful") than it was at 21. At 21, I was an overweight, socially awkward, coward. Now I am a normal weight, shy (but much less awkward) guy trying new things, traveling and traveling alone and staying in "youth" hostels and living it up. Yeah, some things may not be as fun when you're 30, like bars or clubs (though I wouldn't know, since they weren't and aren't my scene), but trust…

You're better off. I'm 31, oldest anyone ever assumes is 20. Can be a bit of pain as a high school teacher, but the benefits far outweigh the negatives, trust me. Sucks a little right now, in a few years you'll be thankful.

As someone who grew up in the area and went to school/lived in SF for three years, you really have no idea of what you're talking about.

God damn you're pathetic. Do you even see it? Are you trolling? You act all better, but this one post sets you off so much that you have to attack with a string of insults? It's almost like you know your post is full of bullshit.

Number One is bullshit. And no, not because I'm some capitalism hating hippy. I love capitalism because it let's those who want to go into industry or anything else and make a shit ton of money do just that. But that's not me. I have little desire for lots of material things. And the desire I do have usually passes quickly. My only desire is to be comfortable and live a good life with enough put away in case I lose my job, economy downturns, etc. Hell, my real dream would be to have a hundred ac…

Well if anyone lives in California, it is a two-person consent state. An illegal recording without the consent of all parties results in Punishments for Violating Penal Code 631. Not a lawyer and could be wrong, but from my understanding, this does not apply to private residences. If you happen to have a security camera in your house for security reasons and it catches something that exonerates you, I believe that is legal.

A) on one side of the issue, isn't this a horrible test case for all this gay wedding cake BS? I can see the argument for this wedding cake stuff. You can't (in my opinion) force someone to exercise their creative talents for something that they do not want to, whether it be cake decorating, singing, etc. But wasn't this a stock cake where he didn't really have to do anything? He just didn't want to sell it for the wedding, from my limited understanding/following of the case. B) on the other sid…

What the person below me said. 18 being the majority is a media myth. Most states, territories, and even the UCMJ are 16 (though a few are worded so that 16 is only legal if the older partner is a certain age, like 20 or younger). One territory and I think 7 states are 17. and then the rest of the country is 18. Now, that's legality. What's accepted, a good idea, plain right, or won't get you killed by a father is another thing entirely.

Some do...or are supposed to, I haven't tried them. Some of them actually have small amounts of Viagra in them, those ones work. There was a report on it I saw that had a list of the ones that they found Viagra in. Last time I looked, those pills were still behind the counter.

Keep it to yourself depending on the situation. I didn't have depression or anything serious, but went through some shit years ago and elected to talk to a counselor. Last year a female co-worker revealed having some issues and revealed suicidal idealization. Didn't want to go to a therapist for fear of being judged. Told her about my experience and now she's seeking help and on meds. Would I have talked about it with a girlfriend or girl I'm trying to date? No. But to someone I'm not interested…

This. I noticed all that, but I don't let shit like that ruin an entire movie/series/whatever. I like several movies that honestly have some heavy blue pill themes and some definitely pathetic behavior. But I can still laugh at the jokes and enjoy the media.

God, you are a moron. A, the law is not just for people over the age of consent. Someone under the age of consent can still commit statutory rape. It essentially never happens, but legally speaking, it is possible and has happened. Here in CA, the age is 18. Therefore, anyone under that age is unable to consent. So if I am 16 and have sex with my 15 year old girlfriend, legally, we both raped each other. Now, if her parents try to take me to court, my parents can go after her, so it never happen…
