A lot of his goals are surrounded by him. He tries to eat well, exercise and stuff. So I don’t know

Exactly. It doesn’t make sense why he would make his life more stable then leave. I guess I’ll find out today

He lives away from the family because he goes to school a little far. But his family is from East Asian descent so they’re a little strict about family meetings from what I’ve gathered. But I don’t know much about his family. About depressive propaganda, he is very pessimistic and negative. He constantly puts himself down. From the amount of times I tried to give him a little confidence in his importance in this life (even involved our common friends to tell him how fun he is to be around) it do…

That I don’t know. I never asked and it seems to be an inconvenient topic for him

We are in North America. He’s in his late 20s so it’s been a while. He did go to therapy but unfortunately he can’t afford it anymore. But as far as I know he’s still taking some medication. Also, I think he is still dependent on his family and they are abusive. Every time he goes back home and we chat, he often mentions that his family is abusing him. I never asked what they do because it’s an uncomfortable question. We are not very close.

That’s why I posted this. I don’t know how to approach this topic. I don’t know how to comfort him. No matter how much I try to show him how much I care for him, it doesn’t help. He has made his mind(((

That’s what I said as well. He has too much stuff on his plate. I said he should focus on his mental health, try to do small things that can make him happy. But it seems like he’s made his mind and I feel helpless.

I don’t know where he lives. I offered to go to meet up tomorrow to talk through this. He refused saying he has some stuff to finish.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
