I'm 35, first-generation born here in the States, so no generational wealth, inheritance, or anything like that. Just studied hard, now a team lead at a software company managing various products and teams. It pays the bills for sure, but definitely not a shit ton worth (I'll need to continue working for a while). A "responsible" degenerate lol. Gave and did everything for my ex since college, then she started having feelings for her girl coworker. Now I'm focusing on myself for once and doing/b…

loooool, damn oxford comma! I tutor kids in computer science and mentor in robotics hackathons on campus and stuff like that. I found sharing my knowledge and watching the youth mentally grow to be extremely fulfilling! But once a month (i need to do it more), I also volunteer at pet shelters and play with the senior pups. I lost my dog the same month my ex moved out (i think he didn't want to be in a split household and felt our drifting apart, then got aggressive cancer out of nowhere). playin…

Months 1-5, lots of blow, hookers, drinking, partying, crying, depression, grief. In Month 6 bought a Porsche, helped some. Months 6-12, worked out nearly every day, rediscovered myself, pro bono tutoring and volunteering at pet shelters. Met new, better friends. I'm going on my first "real" date this week. In hindsight, I was going through the 5 stages of grief and really just needed to allow my feelings to run their course. I'm doing much better today, and it does get better. The gym completel…

i've never had this much fun in my life! i should have done it sooner instead of getting HER the nice "safer" truck first (jeep rubicon). but its time to be absolutely selfish here on out. nice guys do indeed finish last in this world unfortunately. im probably still hurt and just bitter, but im only going to care about myself for the next year. this is definitely a journey i need to figure out on my own, and theres no one "fix" (even if its a nice car), but i think im on the right path at least

Does the women hating thing ever go away? I split up about 8 months ago and everytime I get a match on Hinge and it moves forward, I talk myself out of a date like "whats the point, shes just going to take half my stuff after she gets bored and cheats". all my instagram algorithms are now about how dumb women are and just want to use men essentially (i watched a couple emily king videos and now similar is all in my feed). I'm spiraling into deep women hatred and I know its probably not the norm …

Took like $30k in savings I had saved for potential future kids (nursery room, college, random first couple years expenses) before her emotional affair and blew it all on a down payment on a Cayman GTS 4.0. No guilt or regrets. Its the first time I treated myself first in about a decade and met a lot of new friends driving the mountains and having an absolute blast working on it and going to start tracking it soon. Heck, I can even sell it for a profit right now. Got a roommate and he's basicall…

It sucks because I had what I already wanted (relationship vision). We both wanted kids in the next couple of years. We were good for each other. Grew up together in our 20s. It was going great until she started hanging out with her coworker and it all disappeared in the blink of an eye. There's no way I can prevent this from happening again, people can completely change a decade later. I'm not seeing the point of marriage anymore tbh.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
