Retaliatory suicide? Idk chief. Doesn't sound like that's what's actually happening here at that scale. That would be the dumbest plan in history.

This whole topic is stupid. There is so little data on these, even though they've been a thing for decades now, because nothing ever happens in parking garages. You can't even quantify what these spots even do, negativ or positiv. Most crimes in parking garages are hit and runs by a huge margin.

Had a comment theard today about a guy being shamed at work for being too emotional and there were actually ppl claiming that's misogyny, because he was shamed for being feminine. That take is so dumb, I just can't. As if they would call saying a tomboy is being too manly misandry. No, then it's misogyny, because she is not fitting the female role expectation of being feminine, but if it happens to a man, just mirrored, it's still misogyny in their minds They always bend over backwards and jump …

That's so far off from reality, I just can't. Before gaming was mainstream, it was actually got you branded as a nerd. You won't get dates like that. It's just another attempt of activists trying to destroy make spaces.

Nah, I can't agree with that. It might be secondary misogyny with the primary cause being misandry, but they are denying her free choice here.
/r/EverydayMisandry20/06/26 10:00 AM

I mean, you said yourself they hate her..... Also, denying women to make their choice to marry is also misogyny. This is misandry too, but it can be both.
/r/EverydayMisandry20/06/26 09:52 AM

I mean, it is also misogyny, because they hate her for making her own choices and not agreeing with their stupidity. It's not really a framing. Both can be present at once in the same situation.

Defying gender roles is only good, if it benefits women. This does not benefit women, because most don't find that style of clothing attractive on men. Apparently her attraction is even more important than the virtue signaling points this may provide

It's an old law from 1956. German politicians paniced after the war in Ukraine started, since the mandatory civil or military service was put on hold in 2011. Changing how mandatory service works would require changing the law, which is a long process. Re-activating the old system just needs a vote in parliament. They pretty much ignored the topic since 2011, because they thought it won't be needed anymore and now that things have already gone to shit, they try to fix the issue with stop-gap sol…

Or, you could just look at what the German mandatory service actually is. It gives the option of either military or civil service. Both are needed during war.

I said every citizen does have the duty to DEFEND their country. First you came around the corner with US defaultism, then you claimed it would be used to fight offensive wars, which is not included in "DEFEND" and now you are yapping about freedom, as if you wouldn't actively fight for freedom if you were to DEFEND your country, be that in civil or military service. What are you even on about?

Modern warfare does require a lot of physical strength, especially for basic infantry, the most common role. The vests are around 10-15 kg just with plates and empty otherwise. Backpack is often somewhere between 15 and 35 kg. Add that up with the rest of the gear, like rifle, helmet, ammo, grenades, pistol etc and you can easily get to the weight of a smaller woman they'd need to carry. You also need to haul that stuff over obstacles and that's just the most basic kit. LMG with ammo, tripod for…

False accusations have the same issue as rape, but turned up to 11. To prove a rape occurred, you have to prove it happened and there was no consent. That is already very difficult in many cases, especially the no consent part. For a false accusations you would either need to prove there was consent or that no intercourse occurred. Unless you can prove you were physically not in the location of the claim, how would you ever prove something didn't happen? And until you can do that, it's innocent …

You could tell them this, but they'd still answer the exact same way. It doesn't matter how many there are. They are still part of their favoured group identity, so you could have 10,000 Gieslane Maxwells and they'd still say they were just individual women doing wrong. They would even be right by saying this. The problem is the hypocrisy in not seeing men as individuals.

Oh man, it's always textbook group psychology. If someone in the out-group does it, it's the entire group. If someone in the in-group does it, it's just the individual. It could not be more on the nose than this. It's almost uncanny how well this fits the definition.

The last part is just basic group psychology. They have a prejudice against a group. Then they find someone who does not fulfill this prejudice (i.e. husband, friend or family member). That is obviously contradictory, but our mind at least tries to be consistent, so there are three options to solve this: They could question if the prejudice is true. Since a lot of their world view actually relies on having that prejudice and with it a clear enemy they can rally against, this is hard. It requires…

Well, you always have the option not to side with the monster, but the only alternative is apathy and that's what I think is happening with many areas in society. Somehow, the middle ground, where normal ppl usually reside, is not an option anymore, so ppl either become more radical or don't give a shit anymore.

In communication it's very important the message you send is received as unchanged as possible. If you are trying to communicate something, but the opposite of your message is actually received, you might want to adjust the message. But that's not actually what's happening here. This is just trying to hamfist misandry into a socially acceptable message, at least acceptable in their frame of reference. I'll be honest with you. I don't care about the inner conflicts in the feminist movement. They happily accept the support of radicals and let them undermine their cause. I want no part in this. Don't get me wrong, I'm heavily in favour of equality. I just think feminism as a movement is not the way. Some of my views may overlap with certain parts of feminism, but you won't catch me calling myself a feminist. There is way too much baggage in that term. I also don't want to be included in it as a …

That was more a rethorical line of questioning. I wasn't shooting for your definition. You can define it however you want. Unless a strict definitional line is enforced across the movement, TERFs are still feminists. Maybe an analogy helps: let's say this is about christianity. Providing proof that an accusation ist false is even harder than proving it to be true. That's one of the reasons why innocent until proven guilty is so important, because definitive evidence that something DID NOT happen is often impossible to obtain or simply doesn't exist. It's hard enough to find evidence to prove rape occur beyond a reasonable doubt. Of course the number of definitive cases of false accusations are going to be very low. You'd have to prove a negative, which is incredibly un…

But why? Why would a man put up with this? There are plenty of women who are not raging misandrists. In fact, most women aren't, at least from my experience. This is the opposite of "beauty comes from the inside". They might be nice to look at, but we aren't looking for a new exhibition piece to put in a glass cabinet. It's about finding a partner. Emotional intelligence is so overrated, it's annoying. First of all, it has nothing in common with the concept of intelligence. Secondly, it is just a bunch of loosly connected norms and emotional skills and the concept doesn't even mean what the poster in the picture insinuates. What they describe is agreeableness, a personality trait not a skill. Lastly, a huge part of the concept is not even emotional skills, but rather learned societal norms. They are different for men and women. And don't g…

Not serving in the military is not a right. Serving in the military is a duty as a citizen to the society they live in. Voting rights were tied to military service in the past. Somehow women got voting rights without this duty. That's the odd thing to me. And then everyone got it.

It's part of a bigger tactic to "hide in definitions". You take a word and redefine it. The new definition only includes the group you hate and can't be used on you anymore. So, you are by definition excluded, even though the things you do would fall into the original definition. And when called out on your bs, you just point to your new definition that excludes you.

How do any of those points fix the issues presented? The fix to women dating men richer than themselves is not making women richer. The fix to men getting baby trapped is not giving WOMEN reproductive rights. The fix to being seen as a threat is not ending all violence. Threat is about displayed potential of, in this case, violence. And men who aren't capable will be rejected. They have minimum physical standards for mandatory service. As I've said: there should also be a mandatory civil service for women and I like the way my country used to do it for men. I somewhat understand it though. As a man in the military myself, there is a physical difference. We had a few female recruits in our training unit. The infantry is just not the place for most women and that's the most common role for ppl in mandatory service. I also agree that the citizens of a country have the duty to defend it, should that ever be necessary. Training an army can't be done on short notice, so you'll end up with mandatory service. Because you don't come in contact with every part of feminism, just like I for example don't come in contact with extreme climate activists, even though they should be part of my general political sphere.

Good for you going on a rant about feminism on a post about men's vulnerability...

I firmly believe that has something to do with looking reliable. If you've already over come the thing that was troubeling to you, you look even more reliable. If you are helplessly lost, you look less reliable.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 07:02 PM

Ok. I agree on some points, but I have to disagree on one thing. I strongly believe there is a time and a place and a manner to express vulnerability in a healthy and productive way. I also think that there are times and places where there is no space for it and it will rightfully make you look unreliable, which in turn will have an effect on how ppl deal with you. Also, the expression toxic masculinity just gives me the ik every time I see it.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 06:58 PM

I might be a bit old-fashioned on that, but I think there is a time, a place and a "crowd" for vulnerability. It's not everywhere, at all times and with everyone. In order to see someone as reliable, and I think that's the quality women look for in this, they have to have a certain degree of mental fortitude. They need to get things done. I am against shunning or shaming anyone for their emotions. That is not what I'm getting at here. If you want to be seen as reliable, you need to A get things …

All of these lables are just glorified bs. If you want to work your ass off and retire at 50, go ahead. This whole "alpha guys are leaders" is also dumb. These traits you ascribe to alphas are at most vaguely related to good leadership, unrelated, or even bad traits for leaders.

I mean, there are some aspects missing between the descriptions, but only judging by that: Melissa. Tomboy is fine with me and the rest just sounds more on my wave lenght. Alice sounds good too, but less my type than Melissa and Jenny just seems exhausting, just judging by the description.

It's not that cut and dry. Of course I wouldn't have those if I didn't work for it, but the fact that he actually gave a genuine compliment is a big part of the validation. Internal and external validation both exist. Do I like my progress in the gym? Absolutely. Is getting compliments for doing it also a significant aspect in that? Yes.

I think you are overthinking things here. Some might do, but usually it's just the most basic solution to a date. I genuinly don't like restaurant dates that much. That's a dating tip a friend of mine gave me many years ago and it honestly works: do something active and fun. In a restaurant a table is separating you. Every touch will be awkward to some extend, the whole pressure of not screwing anything up is on you etc. It's not a good situation to be in for a first date. Cinema is even worse, …

/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/24 07:46 AM

That is not the question though. If there is no biological need to treat them differently, should you still do it? What prevents an equal from opening doors or paying for meals. That's the topic.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/24 07:45 AM

Not necessarily. You can just exclude the scenarios where it's biologically necessary from the definition. None of the things mentioned in the article would fall into that category,

But should you?

None of the acts described in the article are rooted in actual biological differences. You can't ascribe anything in it to biological differences, so Idk why you brought that up in the first place. I got lost in semantics before I actually realized that. So, we are treating ppl differently just based on sex, not biological differences. It can still come from a place of superiority. It can come from a place of perceived ownership for example. This actually proves nothing. It can still be classifi…

Well, the ideal thing would be an approach based on the individual, not the group and we do that with a ton of things already. Some kids are mature for their age, so parents can put more trust in them and give a bit more freedom to them, while others might not be. I know that this approach doesn't work everywhere and on everything, but it might be a good starting point. Anyways, what biological difference does prevent women from opening doors or paying for meals?

There are problems with this, but there are problems with your definition too. In particular, some things that might be true on a group level might not be true on the individual level. Putting a disabled person in a wheelchair, if they might not need one, but it's easier for YOU this way. For example at the airport, you just put them in a wheelchair and push them to their gate. This might be without any malice on your part, but it can be incredibly insulting to the person. Your ageism example is…

I am more with the article on this one. You CAN classify these behaviours pointed out as sexism. You are treating someone differently based on their sex. This issue isn't as cut and dry as you suggest it is. You can make a similar argument on the topic of race and say you are only pointing out biological realities. This whole thing circles back to the question if relationships are transactional. If they were, this is not sexism, it's part of a transaction. If they weren't, it might be.

As I have said, I would be upset too, it's just that you are not the deciding factor. The child deserves a shot in life too, because the child has no doing in it's conception. The child didn't ask to be born, even less did the child ask to be the result of cheating
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/24 09:33 PM

The ppl responsible for deciding who should pay child support have very little options on this part. Either the bio dad is there or he isn't. Should he be responsible: yes. But Finding him is not easy at times. The child is innocent in all this, so as shitty as it sounds, the child deserves to have a chance in life, even if the mother doesn't

As I have said, I understand the men's perspective of not being ok with this. I'm a man, so I would probably be upset with this too. The reality is still, that the child is more important than me, so I would probably come to terms with it IF the other guy is nowhere to be found.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/24 09:23 PM

While I agree on the men's perspective, the child is still the more important person in this equasion. The child has no source of income and deciding in it favour is probably the right thing to do. The least the guy should get is access to the child though. If you have never acted as the childs father, then no, but if you did, well, then the kid is on you

While I have seen it in real life, it was mostly the radical feminist side. Then again, that's probably because the red pill guys don't do a whole lot of rioting. Doesn't make their ideas better, but less noticable.

You could have been a friend. If you have feelings for someone, ask them out and get rejected things don't magically go back to friendship. I can totally see why someone would remove themselves from this situation. You can't just shut off the feelings you have for a person in an instant. That's not how life works. You need at least some distance and you don't get that staying lovey-dovey as friends. That doesn't mean you were a fake-friend. At this point it doesn't really matter where the feelin…

Is it even childish? Throwing a tantrum is childish, getting angry over rejection is childish, but removing yourself from a situation that hurts you? It's not like you can do a lot about your feelings, so in order to protect yourself, you kinda have to remove yourself to some degree at least and get some distance. It's the same after break ups, so why would it be any different in this situation?

What you need to understand for this is women interact differently and in some way, you might be right in your assessment. I've seen it countless times in my workplace and I've heard it from female friends too. Women often don't take the direct approach. If I have trouble with another guy at work for example, we duke it out openly. Women don't do this that often, because they don't want to stirr up the other harpies. I don't have to consider this, because I'm a guy. I'm not part of the woman-gro…

OP is not inventing a new definition of average. Average depends on the set you are using. I think what OP means is using "all men in america" is not the correct Set to base the average upon. Joe is not in "competition" (sounds cringe, but I couldn't find a better word) with every man in america. He is in "competition" with a rather narrow set of men. In this set he is average. I love video game analogies, so here we go. I used to dabble a bit in e-sports. I was pretty average compared to the pp…
