Your part of the problem, oh no nobody picked me, wish I could get some of that sexual assault, what the actual fuck is wrong with you?

Sorry you've had to go through it to, hopefully bringing stuff like this to general awareness helps in some small way.

Yeah it's not worth the effort and likely public ridicule to be honest, until attitudes change and people accept this is an issue it's definitely an uphill struggle whilst carrying a boulder on your back, cheers though.

Yeah, I'm a long time lurker and the work done here and the work you do specifically is awesome, it's why I felt I could share this you know.

Hope for the best expect the worst. Raising awareness is exactly why I made this post to :)

I've tried that but it hasn't deterred them. And I'm 6 foot 3 240lbs so it's not like I shouldn't look intimidating, they just know I can't do fuck all without ruining my life.

Well I totally agree with that but its still fucking shit isn't it, like how can they look at the world that way.

I can't really weigh in on that, wasn't like they were announcing what they believed in before doing it. Definitely agree that it's downplayed when the perpetrators a woman though.like an entire culture of shut up and be grateful or something, nevermind that you don't fucking want it.

Yeah the whole idea that we should seemingly be grateful is what gets me. Like we have no bodily autonomy.

You know, older women are bad. Fucking hen night groups are the worst, think they have a personal stripper.

I'd get laughed at brother, not taken remotely serious in the UK. Thanks though.

That was rape brother, you didn't deserve that shit. Rape by coercion is definitely a thing. The people who minimised this or downplayed it are morally reprehensible fuckwits. You matter brother, your better than they are and you shouldn't have to have gone through that alone. I wish it was just as simple as being assertive in regards to getting them to stop but all it takes is one scream or bullshit accusation at that time and I'm dealing with imminent physical violence from whiteknighting fool…

This is exactly the shit I'm talking about, your hand waving literal sexual assault. Maybe try separating your self esteem and moral values from whether or not you get fucking laid. Edit: Deleted comment was saying I should be grateful for the attention and that sexual assaults a small price to pay for the attention, clarifying so I don't look like a dickhead.

You know this is like the ultimate shit situation for me right now. I genuinely feel shitty because I think the work you do is incredible , that the sub itself is great and through a combination of my own pride and cynicism I'm in an argument with you. I apologize myself I'm pretty damn abrasive in my communication myself so I really don't have any right to criticize anyone anyway. I hope you have a good day and keep up the good work.

I stated my expectations based on previous threads, I'm pleasantly surprised that it's doing well. The entire premise of this sub is about drawing lines in the sand, it's very name is to differentiate itself via political alignment, so fairly ironic to claim it's to simplistic. Felt like your reply was incredibly facetious and condescending, perhaps it wasn't. However with the little I had to go on and the fact that it's one of the moderators casting aspersions on my statement I felt the need to…

Simply searching r/mensrights on this sub shows that their are people who do have a problem with that sub, literally a poll 16 days ago showing a not insignificant amount of people here oppose the sub. Pretty disingenuous to correlate upvotes on this post to an overwhelmingly positive outlook on the MRA sub when the evidence states otherwise. That said, it's not a knock on the moderation here, which whilst a little more stringent than the others is good and keeps a good tone to discussion here a…

This will go down like a lead balloon here friend, honestly with all that's said about it you'd think it was really terrible but it's not. Very partisan round here, personally I find value in that sub, this sub, and a few of the smaller ones, realistically mens advocacy should transcend left wing and right wing but people are more interested in drawing lines in the sand unfortunately.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
