As would I. The only reason I said anything was in the case of people that may be on the fence so-to-speak, that would turn a blind eye to the overall message, because they perceived the language in a way that was not meant. Typically, the people that already agree or lean closer to agreement, would over look the language, because they assume you meant it the way that you did, whereas the people on the other end would assume the opposite. As I was coming in from a neutral position, I usually try…

I did read more than a few words and assuming I didn’t because of what I pointed out doesn’t help either of us. I just wanted to point it out, because while I agree with the overall message, there are others that would be focused on the language. Because when read, the flow of the language reads as women (in the generalized term) twist things to fit their agenda, instead of women (with this mindset) twist things to fit to their (those specific women) into their agenda. The point could be passed …

While I agree, look at the language you’re also using in this very post. “Most guys aren’t creeps...” but then you use “...women try to twist...” you’re using the language of “not all guys” but then not using the same for women. Obviously some women are assholes same as some guys, but I think it’s more when a person is complaining about a behavior and they’re used to it coming from a specific group. they don’t think about consistently saying “not all this” or “some of that”. It’s usually one mal…

I agree, although I’ve seen it go both ways. For some reason people can’t handle the topic at hand without feeling the need to point out how it happens to the other side. People seem to be wired this way and I think it’s a lack of maturity. I’ve noticed with kids when you ask “why is the light on in your room” you’ll get “I didn’t do it they did” same with immature adults, they can’t focus on the topic at hand and respond to someone’s personal grievance, they have to throw in their own and proje…

That actually hurts my brain. The only replies I have would definitely not help your relationship with your sister. Honest question though, does she add any value to your life? I feel like always putting in the energy with someone like that would kill me slowly.

Wouldn’t belittling you for being a man also undermine her husband’s validation that he is in fact a man or am I missing something?

I think in any sub (even this one) there’s voices of reason, but a lot of the times there’s a general consensus. I think it all depends what type of discussion you’re hoping for. To my knowledge here, it’s all “awalts” and I think they don’t deviate from that.

It’s not. Honestly, I think it’s pretty shitty to put someone through shit and leave knowing that you’d go back to them. What good does that do anyone? They aren’t but if you are pregnant or have kids. It’s safer to have them near the entrance, not saying it’s fair or on the level of being handicapped. But it’s less for the mother themselves and more for the children. It’s got to be a way for the owners to cover their asses to some degree. Lower the chance of a child getting backed into. Maybe it’s a stupid thing to have but that was my thought behind it

Going with this line of thinking it’s the same as the “nice guy” mentality. Only being nice to a woman because you might get something out of it. Men stop being nice because of the rejection. There’s nothing stopping them from being friends with a woman. You don’t talk to men because you hope to gain something from him other than friendship. No one entitled to anything really, that’s on the individual and their choices. The nice guy doesn’t have to be her shoulder to cry on, but if he’s only tal…

If a guy is only being nice to you because he wants to date you and is unwilling to accept no for an answer you get “nice guy” A guy can be nice all he wants but if a women doesn’t like him that way, she can’t help how she feels. There’s a missing element, and he isn’t entitled to get with her just because he wants to. This is the same as for men, if a women comes by that isn’t your type you would tell her no. She isn’t entitled to you just because she was nice to you.
/r/MGTOW02/05/19 01:01 PM

Agree with the post, but “nice guy” is when a guy is being nice to you only because he likes you and when you turn him down he becomes enraged and treats you like you owe him because he was nice.

Me personally, I’d change my address and cut ties with both of them, might be paranoia, and you might lose a relationship with your mom where she might’ve still been an ok person, but she still is a bridge of contact between your brother and you. If you fear for your freedom, I’d say even if it’s paranoia it’s not worth finding out.

OP mentioned men as the homemaker and women as the breadwinner. Not everyone is doing both. But you’re right in that if both people are working and staying at home the workload at home would be a lot less for both people.
/r/MensRights17/04/19 12:34 AM

We’re comparing homemaking to working as equal not as being harder than working so it doesn’t really make sense on why I would have to give examples of jobs that are easier than homemaking. It also seems that you’re losing sight of what is being discussed by using kids at work as those kids would be customers not variables that need to be worked around when doing work or scheduling. Again, a person may not make a person a homemaker but circumstances do and as far as compensation goes a homemaker…

I’m on mobile so I don’t know how or if I can quote, so this won’t be as well done as yours and may be hard to read. The work involved may not be hard on its own, but it’s not always as simple as getting up when you feel like it and doing what you want when you want. I mentioned kids, not to complain about them, but as another factor that you would have to work around, they aren’t robots and you do have to work around them. I know that jobs do have fluctuating hours, but you also know when it’s …

Let’s just say you’re right. Breadwinner- 401k. Current work history, whatever other retirement benefits. Possibility to be fired. Homemaker- no retirement, no current work history, possibility to be divorced/dumped. If the breadwinner loses their job, they have a decent chance to find another and when they are no longer able to work they have retirement funds. If the homemaker gets dumped their chances of getting a job are severely limited to minimum wage jobs, and even then who’s going to want…

While I agree, you’re speaking about specific jobs that require a specialized skill set. I’m talking about just learning the basics. Everyone should learn to (and I don’t mean perfectly but when they do something they shouldn’t be dumbstruck by it) cook, clean, a bit of sewing (just enough to repair), fix a tire, brakes, windshield wiper replacing, light budgeting etc. I’m not looking for everyone to be able to basically be robots. Everyone does have their own specific skill set, but everyone sh…

When you go to work, you work for 8 hours and leave, the end. It’s scheduled so you know what hours you need to work around, once established it’s pretty routine and doesn’t take much effort, it’s typically more physical than mentally taxing. You’re around people, and while you might not get to socialize how you’d like to, it does have an affect, sometimes negative, but usually more positive. A homemaker doesn’t necessarily get to set their own hours, there’s still things to work around, especia…

I can understand that, that’s definitely unfair of someone else to expect a person to fit the role they want, and is something that people should be more upfront about, but as far as housework would go, if both people started out doing their share and then one person became the breadwinner, their responsibilities at home don’t just completely stop, they lessen, understandably so. One thing that people don’t think about is, people typically put higher value on the the person making the money beca…

Very true, because as a society it’s still slow to changing the way of thinking. It’s still seen as house work and child rearing is “woman’s work” and that a man “brings home the bacon”. It’s easier to fall into stereotypical roles because it would take more work to teach a man to cook (something that like art takes practice and patience) and for a man to teach a woman to fix a car (same thing here). People don’t want to have to teach an adult something when it would be easier to just do it your…

Everyone is different, but I can kind of put it into some perspective. Normally, without a bread winner, both people would work, come home and clean/cook, either for themselves or for each other. This would be seen as 50/50 It seems most people want things to be “fair” or “equal”... Let’s say one now stays home while the other works. Most people would say that 50/50 would be that one person works while the other takes care of the home. Now this part gets a bit tricky, because the person working …

Don’t have any stats, but I have an anecdote where the woman is the breadwinner and the husband is basically a babysitter. He doesn’t clean, cook etc, he sits at home and plays video games while the kids do whatever and after working long hours she has to do everything, he also doesn’t drive. It’s been like this since the beginning and isn’t a temporary thing. I’m not saying this is typical, but from what I’ve seen and heard, when the woman is the breadwinner, the man doesn’t seem to be expected…

1) do you have proof that relationships are luck based? When you get with someone there’s usually something about them that attracts you to them, and them to you; both people find out similarities and differences and work together to manage the differences, if there are differences that can’t be worked out, the relationship typically ends. There’s more that goes into it, but it typically involves work and not the stars aligning just perfectly for a relationship to work, same as with any other ty…

Everyone on here seems to treat it as though it’s not irrelevant, and that AWALT because they had bad experiences. It isn’t gambling though, the odds are stacked much more with actual gambling and it relies on luck and chance in order to win, where relationships aren’t luck based, it’s work based. “Your kind” is known to be taken in a negative connotation so it was safe to assume it was meant negatively. You chose “your kind” over “women” which also adds to this. Throwing in statistics here and there while the majority is opinion and anecdotal evidence doesn’t make your statements fact. You could just stop responding if it’s bothering you that much, Choosing what I want to respond to also isn’t a crime, I’m not going to put time and energy into something for the sake of being right, I’m v…

I never said all, and I do say most because I don’t believe everyone is one way or another. And a lot of what people say are facts that “prove” that all women are the issue don’t actually prove anything other than it’s something that is common or brought up a lot in the media. You don’t see news stories about a woman getting divorced from a man because the man filed and they spilt amicably and it’s just another good day in the world, because that’s not “sensational” enough for a story. I’m not B…

What would be the point? It’s clear I would disagree and so there wasn’t a reason to respond to all of what was said as I had nothing to say other than maybe “I don’t agree”. I didnt go straight to shaming, but it really doesn’t seem to matter because to you only your points are valid and I’m “shaming” when I say one thing but it’s completely fine for you to say “your kind”, ok.

I’m not saying frustrated people shouldn’t have a voice, but show that they are actual decent humans, instead of making themselves look like the entire reason for their problems with women. I’m not going to bother with statistics because that is for the majority, the people on here are a minority as far as what is typical and there doesn’t seem to be actual data on these types of groups. Possibly, but as far as I know, they typically want to know who the father is as well as being able to contact him, so support might not be able to be gotten. I had a friend once who’s father didn’t have to pay child support because he kept his income low or something along those lines, not entirely sure the how of it. It shows that a good number of the people who have come here did so because they were miserable, otherwise the term “unicorn” wouldn’t have even been created. You’re being childish btw, which only shows that if you wanted women, a good lot wouldn’t want you. It’s common sense, if you have a shit outlook on women and life involving them, it’ll be much harder for you to connect with one, let alone a “unicorn”. I can’t speak for anyone personally on this, but my assumption would be when a woman had a “dead beat” partner who left her with the responsibility to care for the child solely without support be it financial or physical. I’ve rarely seen cases in which a woman takes off and leaves the children with the father to bare the full responsibility, not saying it’s not possible, just that it seems rare. Yes, but you’re wording it as though they were basically the town bicycle. A single mother isn’t always to blame for being single or a mother, just as often the man chooses to leave both of them with little to no responsibility for his kid. The issue is on both sides. You’re basically saying, if a woman gets pregnant and the relationship doesn’t work out she should just be alone and take care of the kid, while leaving the man to just do whatever the hell he wants, like there’s some mark left on …

You’re stating a small number as though it is large in the grand scheme of things. I don’t feel the need to vouch for myself or I would have. The only thing it solves, is that some will find happiness being alone, but others will continue along being miserable, but all will stop trying to be part of the equation, which doesn’t affect those that aren’t a part of the MGTOW philosophy because it doesn’t change anyone who wouldn’t be affected by women not wanting you. I was being respectful, but if you want to continue to condescend, fine, I’ll stoop to your level. No one would want you to take care of them or their spawn and anyone who gets pregnant knows they have options so that’s on them, but if a person does get pregnant it doesn’t automatically mean they just hopped on some random dick so easily. And on the other side, there’s that same experience with the opposite sex. I’m all for people being lore responsible for their actions, but that includes men. The real problem is communication, and people’s lack of actually saying what they want and getting pissed when things don’t go their way. I wouldn’t say it’s a “woman” or a “man” problem, but a societal one, where people are expecting others to be mind-readers.

Just because you’ve experienced something similar still doesn’t make it true, and while I may not have experienced something as a man, I still have other males experiences that differ from yours, so it doesn’t mean that all men have this same experience and that it’s all been at the fault of the woman. You haven’t experienced life as a woman either, which is why I didn’t bring up that point, because in either case it does not apply.

It’s funny because people were willing to pay for the name and Gillette went and shot themselves in the face considering their cheaper counterparts were always available. Would be hilarious if they don’t go out of business that people start demanding they drop their prices to be competitive if they would like to continue selling their product. “The second best a man can get” 😂

Ignoring the fact that women could differentiate a large number of shades of color (certain shade of berries etc were poisonous) Among other attributes that were necessary to “gather”. women and people in general aren’t the same as they used to be. People didn’t have houses and spent a lot more time outside around bugs, spiders, rodents etc. in some cultures the man left a deer on her “doorstep” and if she accepted this and brought it inside it meant they were married and she would prepare the d…

I have never heard of pink/red roses meaning anything. I know most people like roses (I think they stink) because it’s the generic symbol of romance or some shit. Most people I know just get the persons favorite flower. I would’ve told her that you got her flowers to be nice and that there’s no such thing as “pink means like” unless you’re in high school and even then shits made up That’s crazy though. But at least you didn’t get yellow? 😂

This follows a lot of the same lines as r/childfree might be good looking through old posts there as well. Your sex/love life is none of her business and you don’t owe her anything. It’s her desire for grandkids, she’ll have to come to terms with that as well as not having a daughter-in-law.

Low birth rates etc doesn’t prove “if not me then you” You made a pod baby, now what? Yes women do bad things too, but I don’t care about them. Its a commercial for men so there’s no reason to showcase women and what they do(n’t) do. The problem with the commercial is bringing politics and the complexity of males in society and squeezing it into a two minute video was stupid as well as not even tying those views in with the product they’re selling. It’s piss-poor marketing at best and a slap in the face to the men they’re wanting money from.

I’m not shaming men for preferring brain over brain or for any other reason, I’m simply stating that blaming women (all women) for intelligence not being passed on in leu of strength or anything else is confirmation bias since we don’t know why someone like Newton didn’t pass on his genes. I mentioned “nice guys” because they are blaming someone else (the women or chad) for a perceived slight. The “nice guy” chose this female and expects to be chosen in return. If someone else chooses to raise s…

This is sounding like “nice guy” logic. Do we even know if Newton tried to get a woman or if women tried to get with him? He could’ve been part of the problem (if you’re saying that him not having kids is a problem) since he was devoting his life to science.

I wasn’t either; I actually went and checked to be sure since I like to be accurate with what I say. I do think it’s taken more matter-of-fact though, which is why I usually use it, but given the context I was trying to convey a generic response. From what I’ve read here the short answer is no. The long answer: You are making the conscious choice to take yourself out of the lifescript. from what I’ve gathered MGTOW don’t GAF about women (are indifferent) as a reason to live and do well for themselves. They themselves are the reason to be a better human. Not disagreeing, but I’ll just throw out there the idea that it could be from being sheltered in the first place. IMO seems to fall in line with the Amish coming of age (Rumspringa) its a culture shock that either sends them back to the only thing they’ve known which is the safe choice (as is the point) and some go to the other extreme making horrible choices.
