Hey I'm also a climber of about the same ability! I've used the wall to get on #-close who turned out to have a b/f, plus she's in grad school while I'm still undergrad. Anyway my question is do you use climbing as a way to hook girls into second dates because I've been planning on doing that this year once school starts up again

Remember, Logistics! Find out everything you can about what's going down, or you won't get any closes at all. I did the same thing, although with a fraternity formal that ended up being more like a ceremony in another state. I only knew my date going into it, had to stay in someone's house I didn't know, and the whole thing failed because I derped on logistics.

They were friends of your friend's g/f, thus they likely knew him too. Ask a simple: "So how do you know (friend)?" There, you've got a starter conversation. Alternatively, maybe they only know his girlfriend but not him: ask the same question and if they don't know him, you can tell a hilarious story involving the both of you and try to still build interest in yourself while talking about him...then move from there.
