I guess it's part of the idea that you want to be someone she thinks about, not "just another guy hitting on me tonight", because she probably will have a few other guys going for it. You want that pull, because it gives you an opening for more approaches. My best guess, I'm still new here.

Sometimes, you run into the kind of girl that really doesn't know the game, or doesn't react how you want her to react because she simply doesn't know how. Innocent, sorta. Be a leader in that case.
