Women who are harassed on the street have two options: And thus we begin a false dichotomy... edit: Wait, it's not really quite that...maybe more slippery slope?

My embarrassing story is reading this post and realizing the amazing advice contained therein all applies directly to my life. All I can say now is...time to turn things around.

As in your third bullet point--instead of "often busy" he read "often busty".

I think you took the wrong approach. You can't just sit down and immediately ask them to qualify themselves (by asking them what makes them interesting). I don't know what stories you told after that, but it sounds like you skipped the entire smalltalk/building repartee phase of the conversation and dove right into LET'S GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER REALLY WELL which, I think, is sort of creepy. Still, shit happens. Props (or whatever people say now) for the 10 approaches a month thing. Keep it up!

I'm going to have to go with the OP here. I was a sheltered nerd in HS and only recently got introduced into the world of PUA--and I'm not using it to get laid. A lot of basic habits like confidence and maintaining eye contact would have done me a world of good in terms of interviews, networking, etc. It's never too early to start building good habits.

This happens to me a lot. I've noticed that you waste a lot of brainpower thinking things like "shitshitshit, I've got nothing to say, what should I say next? I hope this isn't awkward, THINK of something!"...etc, etc. I think it's just a matter of learning how to relax and not worry about it. You don't really want to be talking for the sake of talking either, right?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
