As always it just comes down to immutable traits almost nothing else matters to generate outcomes.

immutable factors have a bigger say than anything within one's control, so this isn't true for everyone. If you have a good skeleton and were raised and socialised well in your childhood then it's possible.

Well obviously. Their advice is about as useful as "Just walk into the business and hand in your resume" or "Just buy a house or 3 for less than 100k".

Pretty much the only option that was afforded to me once understood it wasn't on the cards for me. I lead a full life and it's decent enough, but I think it will only ever be decent at best.

I mean, people literally die due to BBL's yet I see far less opposition to that procedure than limb lengthening. Not defending the validity of it, just an observation on attitudes I have seen.

I always find it so interesting to see how against limb lengthening surgery people are compared to other types of cosmetic surgeries or body modifications. Rhinoplasty, braces, tattoos, hair transplants, BBL's, lip fillers, tongue splitting, scarification, etc. all seem to be met with a mixed bag of reactions, but people by and large draw the line at someone wanting longer legs.

100% yes, I would trade any number of my good qualities in a heartbeat to be beautiful.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/26 11:47 AM

I don't see it as a social injustice that needs fixing. I am not owed positive romantic outcomes, people are attracted to what they are attracted to and I just come up short in that regard. I don't hold hate or resentment towards women and I don't expect the world to intervene on my behalf either. I see it only as a fact of life that I needed to accept.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/26 11:54 PM

Of course they do, we are practically subhuman anyway so why would we received basic human decency?

Thank you, it's nice to see people start to openly say this instead of the usual narrative.

Unselected men are repulsive to women, this is common knowledge. Past a certain age you will be seen as a failure, and in all walks of life men are only valued if they are competent.

When you're not even viable from birth like myself, opting out is the closest thing to agency you have left. Though, when it has been set in stone all along it's not really a choice I suppose.

The issue was never those things for me, rather my immutable traits beneath the presentation as I state in my original comment. So in a way you are right, the things in my control were never the issue. Respectfully, there is no logic in you assuming anything about me because you don't know anything about me.

That would imply everything about our looks can be controlled, and that the things we don't control cannot have a major say in our outcomes.

I can attest to this. I lost 24kgs, then added some lean muscle, revamped my wardrobe, skincare, fragrances, the works. None of it moved the needle for me at all, and my dating prospects after all that work have been the same as when I was a fat slob. Which is to say none at all. This isn't to say that these changes aren't a net positive for my life, because they absolutely have been. However, they won't affect or improve romantic outcomes unless your underlying bone structure and skeleton are v…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 12:40 AM

Obsession isn't how I would describe my experience of these cases. I just took it as high quality information on how viable I was as an option compared to men like youve described.

The point isn't that homeless people are lesser, the point is that you chose an example that virtually no man or woman would consider a realistic dating option. That is the flaw in your comparison.

What a disingenuous way to frame my point, but I should have expected as much when your initial comment is a bad faith response.

Nice to hear from the horses mouth that women don't see us on the shorter end as men.

Average men do not register as an option which is why I stopped even trying to improve as a below average man. Like, why work hard go still be utterly invisible .

Depends what he looks like, and ugly dude with nerd hobbies is a dork or a loser, but a hot guy is considered cute or quirky for it.

I get why it's seen that way, in my experience at least. I mostly only consider myself sick if I physically cannot get out of bed. So if I have a common cold or I am just not 100% I'll push through and not say anything about it. So when I do finally admit I'm sick it's because I genuinely can't function. From the outside it probably looks like I'm being dramatic, when really it's just that my threshold for calling myself sick is high. So I likely contribute to the phenomenon.

I mean sure, sub5 people don't even register to potential partners anyway so why not.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/26 05:55 AM

Same type of people that say "Women aren't a monolith!!! will genuinely turn around and say "all men are evil!!" with full sincerity. Some jokes just write themselves.

It's all about optics. People want to be seen as virtuous so they moralise selection, the irony in it is that they just come off as disingenuous more than anything else.

I think honesty is the best policy rather than lying to oneself and others, but if someone chooses to live that way it's their business.

People say these things to protect their own self image. They want to attribute their own success to their own efforts and actions rather than the myriad circumstances out of their control that heavily influence outcomes. Therefore, it makes it easier to believe that people who fail are bad people ("Just be a good person bro"), or unwashed ("Just take showers bro") or whatever other negative connotation they wish to place on someone. The idea that someone could fail while doing everything right,…

This is observable to anyone with working eyes and women will admit as much when it suits them, and when they can say it in a way that frames them positively. When it doesn't flatter them though they close ranks and dispute it vehemently for the sake of optics.

Sounds good in theory until all the hobby spaces you're involved in are just dudes that only know other dudes.

They actually do believe they are good, just the other day this week there was a thread about women choosing abusive men and they were borderline defending them its insane.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/26 03:14 AM

If you by personality you mean good morals and character then no. Those two things are not valued or sought after in dating, else those men would never succeed.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/26 02:59 AM

Morals dont matter and neither does character. Abusive men are charming and thats enough for them to overlook it and take no accountability after the fact.

I don't support his cheating and I wont dispute fame but "He's a basketball player" is reductive and just insane to read said about Klay. You say there about 10 people on Megan's level as a pop star, he is arguably a top 2 shooter all-time only behind an all-time great. People talking about him like hes some random athlete hurts the soul 💔🥀

Case in point right here, you didnt address anything I said because you didnt get it or chose not to answer them. You would think that given how much pressures women live under in society they would at least understand that the same is true of men. I told you why it bothers men and instead of engaging in good faith with that, and understanding the way men feel you just dismiss it as us not understanding.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/26 04:49 AM

I feel like women struggle to engage with this topic in good faith because they either choose to ignore or do not understand why this kind of thing affects men. As long as sexual prowess and desirability are tied to long-standing and widely held views on masculinity, men will feel valued or devalued according to their outcomes.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/26 03:11 AM

Yeah this is just the long and short of it, and the only take that is true and matters.

What is the reason you lurk here instead of elsewhere? I lurk in a lot of places. I find some of the content in this sub interesting at times, some things resonate and some don't. There are topics and ideas spoken of in here that are not widely discussed in other subs. I just feel like there's a lot of guys in this sub who have given up because they feel defeated, and I don't think that feeling of defeat can really transition into acceptance. I mean I definitely felt defeated at one point, but I…

Well yeah, it wasn't on the cards for me do I put my energy into other things. Nothing has haooened in the 8 years since I made that choice to prove me wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/26 08:27 PM

I made peace with the fact I'm not what any woman is looking for. I'm a low value male and thats it, but you gotta move on and so I did. Single life is fulfilling enough for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/26 12:26 PM

I realised a long time ago I could only ever be guy number 2 to a woman and decided to just not pursue them at all. As I approach 30 I can safely say this was one of the best choices I made in my 20s. I'm not sleeping with a sex worker though, the idea itself feels entirely off putting to me (no shame to people in that line of work!)

You're right, women don't owe me that but I don't have to accept lesser treatment either. They should be with the men they want to do those things for, and I wish them well. I learned pretty early on a I will never illicit that desire in a woman, and would never be attractive to a woman in that way. It was the basis for me opting out from dating for good, and it was one of the best choices I made for my mental health.

The amount of women who fail to understand why this bothers men makes me wonder if they even engage with this topic in good faith. As long as desirability and sexual prowess are tied to widely held views on masculinity men will continue to prioritise being desired in that way. Which is why being categorised as "not hook up worthy" is backhanded at best.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
