"feminism does bad things" "not all feminists!" facepalm

/u/Vwar while I personally see much of what you've posted here on a daily basis and believe you, could I please ask that you source each of your points? Anecdotes and "feelings" are the tools that got us into this position in the first place; we should strive to be as factual as possible and back up all of our arguments with research so that our stance is irrefutable.

I dated an African girl living in the UK who had picked engineering as her career path before this whole third (fourth now?) wave shit, and I can confirm she second guessed herself ALL the time as to whether she was worthy of the job or if she just got it because she was the perfect "box ticker" when it came to a diversity hire. She is real good at her job, but that didn't stop her doubting herself because of this kinda legislation.

I wouldn't know as I've not been following the /r/altright drama, but if the political horseshoe theory is anything to go by, I wouldn't be surprised.

Oh, yeah shit that's what I meant.

I think we'll have to agree to disagree there bud. Doxxing is a tool that has a proven history of being used by SJW's, namely the SRS and EDIT: anti-gamergate crowd, and as such it is something I would believe based on the words of a mod.

It's not exactly unfeasible that such a thing would happen. Just recently a friend of mine nearly lost his job when a bunch of SJW's sent screenshots of a meme he posted to his employer.

Yesterday in Brighton it reached a high of 29°C, and inside my house it reached 35°C. Accounting for the additional body temperature of ~30 other students per class, the lack of air conditioning and the fact that humidity in the UK often sits around 90%, I can assure you now that classroom would have been absolute torture.

Under the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 this is direct discrimination and illegal. (See S. 38).

College applications shouldn't even take gender into account. There is no reason for them to consider gender when admitting people other than to fill a quota. If gender was removed from the equation, the quota wouldn't exist. It would be true equal opportunity.

Get a voice recorder and stick it in your pocket. Depending on the type, they can be set to only record when sound is detected, so you can easily leave it running all day. Alternatively, just keep it handy and if you're spending any time alone with your wife, make sure to keep it running.

Here's the most thorough reality check I've seen so far, a great resource to have on hand any time someone tries to tell you that you are a feminist and that feminism cares about men's rights: http://anti-feminism-pro-equality.tumblr.com/post/97170153236/myplaceinfeminism-heres-an-article-about

I really do hope you make a full recovery, I can't imagine how painful it must be, both physically and mentally. Please don't beat yourself up (heh, unintended) about hitting her back, it's a natural reaction to lash out and stop whatever is causing you sharp pain like that. I know you may not necessarily be beating yourself up about it right now, but you will likely be shamed for it, whether it be in public or in court, and you need to hold your head high and not let them get to you. I also rea…

Yeah at around 3:10 it seems to have been edited where it cuts into two overlapping voices. The clip is missing the above mentioned section.

Just messaged this to /u/wil, you guys may want to do the same until he pays attention: Hey Wil, I just saw your tumblr post about the /r/mensrights demographic poll and wanted to inform you that there is quite a lot of potential that the poll was sabotaged by a group such as shitredditsays or againstmensrights, which have been known in the past to vote brigade. I wouldn't put it past them to sabotage a poll, and I wouldn't put it past 4chan either, they just love to stir the pot when it comes t…

cell phone size I didn't think this could possibly be a thing. It can't have been real. But it was. I'm speechless. (removed link to Jezebel, go Google it! "Smartphones Are Made for Giant Man-Hands")

I know some may consider it petty, but since Facebook's Community Standards were revised with women in mind, it's reassuring to see that gender-based hate is frowned upon from either side of the spectrum on the site and that it's still possible to make positive change by reporting things.

No, no, you have it all wrong! It's the patriarchy that made her hit him. Can't you see this is a societal problem, and society is ruled by the patriarchy? /s

It can't be. I'm just gonna pass this post off as utter paranoia because surely things like this don't actually happen. Not on my planet.

How can we change this, though? Surely this means the MRM needs more publicity? But how do we get that without both spreading our ideals too thin and without mass scrutiny by the media?

It's really not something to be proud of. You haven't "made" anything, you've just offended quite a few people. The fact that you're proud of it should say to you that maybe you should reevaluate a few things in your life. And for the record, if you post something on the internet, expect the source to be scrutinised. Especially if it is as inflammatory as that. Because oftentimes it can make you look like a massive hypocrite.

Well said. I truly consider myself an Equalist (I feel the word Egalitarian misses the point), but a lot of the extreme feminists that are leading the movement and taking advantage of these "young, impressionable minds" aren't aiming for equality, they're fighting against things that they perceive to be unequal towards women, to give them a "more even ground" - but in many cases this is to the disadvantage of men. A quick, recent example of this off the top of my head is women getting paid the s…

Have I missed something; is SRS a parody/troll subreddit? Because the sidebar honestly reads like a parody. Is it just a very extreme case of Poe's Law or, could it be a massive troll operation? I've read into some of the stuff on there and it honestly sounds to me like a huge master troll, not only on MRA's but on feminists and moderates, for the purpose of extreme-ifying people's opinions and views and pitting them against each other. There is no way "The Shevil Fempire" can be an honest-to-go…

Woah, there's a tonne on there. I'm trying to start r/feministproblems as more of a catch-all parody subreddit though, not just INFB. I just need people posting some more content. Care to help? :)
