She's going to undermine you at any opportunity she gets. At custody exchanges, video record. Let her get pissed off. Make sure you have it on video and save every single video. It goes without saying but have any interaction by email or text. Have security cameras at your home. Have a dashcam in your car. If she goes and makes decisions without your consent, document them. Be the bigger person and email/text her and get her to admit it through documentation. Contact the school, the doctor and w…

Do you have kids? Have you tried couples counseling? Has she tried therapy for those underlying issues you think she's having? In an ideal world our partner would 100% stay the same looks wise. Life happens and our weight fluctuates and so will yours at some point in life. It's unrealistic to expect our partners to maintain the same physique through an entire marriage. However, I would advice instead of pointing the finger and telling her it's your fault she is not living up to your expectations…

Exactly this. I tried mediation because the judge recommended despite my ex's goal was to convince the mediator that her compromise was justified. When the mediator started discussing a fairer parenting time she immediately accused me of not mediating jn good faith and ended it. Wasted a good 3 months.

My lawyer explained if the marriage is short lived(less than 5 years) there is more validity to not split the matrimonial home 50/50. You can probably compromise with other valuables to get a bigger share of the house for example if she is set on getting all the jewelry and other valuables. I would imagine with no kids, splitting valuables shouldn't be a big issue to resolve. Emotions run high and after a few weeks/months of seeing things from a legal objective perspective she may reconsider.

Just because she asks doesn't mean she will get more than 50%. Are you sure she doesn't know about the few assets you don't want to disclose? I recall I disclosed all my assets so I'm not sure to what extend the court would dig into your Financials. Best to consult your lawyer on this one. Do you have kids? It's hard to say who would win in court when it comes to material possessions. The standard is 50/50. When I divorced I contested a bigger share of the home because it was a short marriage, i…

Thanks for sharing this. It does help to make an argument on shared parenting as long as there are no significant issues or circumstances like drug abuse or parents living too far away from each other. I recall i sent ny ex similar evidence of peer reviewed research on the benefits of shared parenting and having a father involved. She didnt read any of it and set that im unsafe and i never did anything. 2nd time conference meeting in front of a judge, the judge warned her she cannot continue to …

Very good point indeed. There needs to be communication and likewise op should have reviewed their parenting plan before the situation getting to that point
