They can't seriously believe this. How is this not le clever ruse?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH, ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS. What an absurd statement.

What's the context of this?

Hahahaha, those sound pretty dull, man.

Cool, thanks, man.

Well, keep up the good work, man. I'd be interested to see both of them, if not all of them.

I mean, what I'm asking is if there's a competency in her writing. I like books that make me think, but if they're going to be fictional I'd rather have the fiction be convincing, and from what I'm hearing the fiction is garbage, even if the philosophy is interesting.

She isn't most people. I'm pretty sure she's been a public speaker for ages, and had something to do with the White House speeches.
/r/MensRights28/02/14 10:17 PM

I already loved that story.
/r/MensRights28/02/14 10:16 PM

Well you're assuming too much with this.
/r/MensRights28/02/14 10:15 PM

Well, then I guess I continue without reading them.

Oh, okay let's just change the definition to suit whatever you want.

And yet, she had so very little to say. I think one of the only things of importance that she said was about the wage gap. Beyond that, I don't think most people watching or listening are here just for conversation. We're listening for information, not to make friends. That's a dynamic that's important to be aware of. It changes how interactions function.

Can I have a link to that declarations of sentiments post? I'm not familiar in the slightest with it, and I'd love to know more. I agree with everything you've said, yet again. I just wanted to say that I can't stand Molyneux, I don't think he makes much logical sense.
/r/MensRights28/02/14 09:57 PM

You're so very useful. I wonder if anyone else noticed that completely insignificant, obvious fact?
/r/MensRights28/02/14 12:16 PM

plz prove that it's only a minority that wants that word. What difference does it make? Just say it or don't, if someone gets in a fuss, fix it.

These are pretty good points on the whole, I'd imagine if she was looking for any constructive criticism this about sums up any downsides to the entire ordeal. However, nobody performed well, and that's at least partly due to the lack of structure. What mattered was the information presented, since I think the larger goal than winning the debate or discussion is spreading the idea. Other than that I agree with you on pretty much all of it.

To be fair, Karen had a few eye rolls and dismissive movements, too. It's a part of arguing about something, especially when you're not bound by formality. Also, eventually she did speak at the conference, the video will be uploaded eventually. There were 50 speakers or something, so it should take some time to sift, edit and upload.

I still haven't touched any of her books because I'm vaguely aware of a cult following they seem to have developed. Are they worth reading?

I'm unfamiliar with Antigone, but she seemed quite a bit more reasonable. Is she a blogger or something?
/r/MensRights28/02/14 11:13 AM

Yeah, she wasn't really perceptive to anything that was said, and talking to someone that looks like they're ignoring you is hard. I wonder if it's a speaking tactic of some kind to throw people off balance. Either way, when you start swearing, it's probably game over, unless there's a purpose to it, not just raw frustration.

I don't buy it. There's a distinct difference between having to settle for a Porsche when you wanted a Bugatti and choosing between a meal of rice or lentils.

She's worth three million USD, if that means anything.

I don't know what SF is like, but I'm in LA. If what I've seen in the last three months is any indication of what people are like in California, I doubt it would go well. Then again, I know next to nothing.

Is there a link to the following lectures? I'd honestly like to see both of them. Good job getting this thing organized and rolling, despite the polarity it was at least entertaining.

I looked up her net worth, easily available information. $3,000,000. I think at any time in my life I've had maybe $2,000 and another $1,000 in assets. Get fucked if you think you're not wealthy, Naomi.

I don't know if this is specifically related to men so much as it is our shitty zero tolerance policies that are in place.

Is this a troll? There's no way people this hypocritical and awful can be real.

Yeah, until you aren't married any more. You're not in the relationship, so why should you be paying them?

Any alimony is inherently unfair, regardless of what direction the money is flowing. If you didn't work for it, you LOGICALLY have no claim to it. The law is based on archaic perceptions of women who can't provide for themselves, which is inequal in itself.

I don't really have any input, and I don't think you're really asking for it, but I'm thoroughly fascinated by your life.
/r/MensRights10/02/14 08:29 AM

Ehhhh, I wouldn't say it's really a decision that you're making fully aware of any consequences. Fight or flight responses where there's harm being actively directed at you are weird.

Texas is pretty fucking backwards, dude. You're not the brightest if you don't see that.

Tell me how it's a rape joke, since you're clearly so enlightened and blessed with the intellect I lack. Break it down for me, genius.
/r/MensRights12/06/13 07:17 PM

How the fuck was it a rape joke? There was no reference to rape, at all.

It was never said he was unattractive. Also; yeah I have dated ugly women because they were the coolest people. I feel like being attractive creates the mentality apparent in this woman, where entitlement is horribly evident.

I make 800 a month currently. There's no way in fuck I could pay that. Without knowing his earnings, you can't say that. Supporting a child doesn't require that much money.

Because their goal isn't to make someone unconscious, it's not a fight, it's an arrest. They want their hands behind their back.

You're right. There's no instance where violence is ever funny or entertaining, regardless of medium. FOR FUCKS SAKE.
/r/MensRights16/09/12 04:08 PM
1

Well, damn. I guess we shouldn't depict violence in film, games or even real sport. Really, what are you talking about, dude?
/r/MensRights16/09/12 03:58 PM

Given the fact that you just suggested the joke was against women, yes. It does.
/r/MensRights16/09/12 03:12 AM

I fail to see how that was directed towards any single person in particular. fuck.
