If the risk is so bad, then why do all the men I know in my life always say how they’re lucky they don’t have to worry about this shit?

You have to take into account the motivation that goes behind homicide. Males are not victims because they are male. Nothing about being male itself puts a target on your back. However, being female immediately puts a target on your back since we are at a physical disadvantage and are easier to take advantage of sexually. Edit: not saying males aren’t victims. I’m saying they’re not victimized for their gender. Women are. And that’s why this is a gender-driven issue.

Okay so what do you do on a daily basis to prevent being sexually assaulted since it’s apparently such a higher threat to men? My list is pretty long

91% of victims of sexual assault and rape are female.. so no, men are not as likely to be victims of sexual assault.

Women are naturally going to be wary of a male when walking alone on a street at night given that every female I know including myself has been sexually assaulted in some way, we already do enough to accommodate that fear so maybe good guys could just at least be aware of that and keep an extra eye out? Men don’t fear women in the same way that women fear men.

96% of homicides are committed by men.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
