Because it was me vs the entire upper management. Writing was on the wall. In government (in the USA), they break the law, break their rules, break their policies, dig their heels in, and then say "sue us." You spend $30-40k to get a settlement that's like a years salary.

Doesn't feel like that most days. But there was no other option. Fuck the modern work place is scary. I now have serious anxiety about being alone In the office with female coworkers, being in the car with them etc. It's bad news. I wish bosses would wise up as to how bad things are for males in the modern workplace. Of course it takes them getting falsely accused to make them wise up, but by that time they'll be fired and replaced by the next Beta Bob.

My boss was setting me up to fire me. He was mad because he wasn't doing his job properly, I knew he wasn't, I wasn't happy about that fact, and he knew I wasn't happy. Well I acted like someone who was falsely accused would act. In considering a claim the basis of consideration should be the evidence presented, which my workplace A. Didn't gather and B. When they did and it contradicted the written warning, they tried repeatedly to get me to give in and accept the written warning
