But it's never as simple as just saying "Monkey branching" since there are multiple variables that contribute to why someone would monkey branch to begin with. People talk about monkey branching and say all women just grab the next high status man but they don't define what they mean by high status well enough, and even that has multiple embedded variables. Maybe women discover themselves sooner where it takes men longer so they're the first ones to realize that things aren't working out. Maybe men put up with more before deciding to pull the plug.
