It is going to be up to you in the end. Me, personally, I could not leave my job. We are a double MD household, so if I wanted to I could be a SAHM. However, much of what makes me as a person are the relationships and abilities I learn while caring and learning about medicine. I will just switch my hours so I either work overnights or while my kid is at school.

I have done a series of things, specially since COVID (I was 21 then) and had a lot of time to reflect. 1. Exercise, of course as you mentioned, made me more resilient and less stressed so I had this mechanism to let my feelings flow. 2. I go to therapy. I don’t use my friends or family to talk to about my problems, I have my therapist for that. I met her two years ago and we work well together. She makes me see my flaws from a third person perspective and helps me shape that. 3. I socialize. A …

He is dominant, but I also have a strong personality. At work he is very outspoken, was first in his college class, yada yada yada. I am soft with him, but at work I am also very direct and assertive. When we met, I believe he used to test how much I would tolerate and I made it clear from the get go what my red flags were. He is a teddy bear with me.

I will probably be the odd one out with this conversation, but hear me out. I have always been the prize in my relationships, in the sense that I have been cherished and loved. Did I always respect my partners? Probably not, because of fights or something. Did they ever give me the silent treatment? One of them tried, I pulled a uno reverse card on him and told him I was done. It’s childish and immature. He still regrets that. You are the woman. Yes, you should respect your partner. But to me, i…

Depends on the man and on your age. The number one thing (regardless of style) is your weight. You need to have a healthy BMI. My partner is 20 years older than me, we are both MD’s. For the winter I usually wear a very basic wardrobe with staple, good quality pieces. Black pants, long sleeve cashmere, coats. I always keep my hair neat and use earrings, all the time. Summer I love summer dresses. I will usually use spring colors. Hair down and make sure to spend money on treatments so that it lo…

I am an MD (26 years old) and can perhaps give you some insight into my life. When you’re in medical school, you will be studying a lot; but I made sure I stayed feminine throughout it. I had hobbies, tried exercising constantly. And don’t forget part of being a good MD is compassion and empathy. You can really build your nurturing qualities. I am now going into pulmonology resident. So, yes, I am tired…. But here is the trick, I try to balance my work life vs my personal life. I am still me, a …

I am an MD and actually have men want me because I am “smart” but also I am not going into surgery or something with crazy hours, but psychiatry. So that might make a difference

You’re looking at it from a bad perspective; you’re assuming most men are looking for what we (as women) want in a relationship: degrees, power, having shit together. While being stable and intelligent will add you points, it’s not an absolute determinant. What the difference is in the end, comes down to how femenine you are.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
