We do all the wrong things. Women bad. Although men have benefited from patriarchy since the beginning of duxking time, women should be more understanding of how they are hurting too - because of patriarchy. 🙄 Really???? WTACTUALF?

It’s so crazy that when you grow up in it and no one calls it pedophilia, you begin to even think you’re crazy for thinking it is. Once I was out of my teens, it became clear that any 24 year old with a 14 year old is a pedophile. Then the excavation of how it impacts you and how it impacted your entire life up to that point. It is never fucking ending insight after insight.

My dad was definitely a pedo. He married my mother at 14 with her grandmother’s consent. He was 24. But he “has examined his life and finds he did nothing wrong”. Clown.

I have read that even “squaw” is a revolting bastardization of a Native American word for vagina. So, in effect, calling women “holes”. That’s been around a helluva long time.

Hate to break it to you, but every generation is filled with them. Born In ‘64 - I consider myself GenX though there’s not 100% consensus. Some of us are fucking hell raising ground breakers who raised women that make us laugh every day. My daughter is one of the funniest women I know. No generation has the market cornered on PickMe’s. Cross my heart.

I truly believe that they absolutely are. If only, to you. But I’ve found that if I feel it, it is valid to me and that’s pretty much all that matters when making a decision involving feelings.

Exactly and headfucked is the perfect description! It has taken me years to work thru the “am I over reacting? Do I have the right to feel this way? Are my feelings valid?”, etc. if you feel anger, it’s valid and you have a right to it. Own it and express it and kick his ass out if the situation warrants it. Whatever you think warrants it, is absolutely VALID. Sorry for our sister but she did the right thing. What a complete idiot.

I feel bad for her too because of the pain she’s in now. Women are resilient, much more so than men. They’re dumpster fires as they get divorced, aging like milk. I think the best chapters of her life could be and likely will be ahead. Once she’s free of that bastard, she’ll realize she’s as free as she was before she got entangled with him. Her kids are grown and she hopefully will begin a life of adventure and empowerment. Men can be so disappointing. I guess I’ve never thought of youth or the…

I cannot emphasize safety and women’s self defense classes enough. I backpack with a firearm due to potential predators. I use bear spray for predators other than human males. I absolutely encourage anyone who gets a firearm to take a few classes before trying to conceal carry.

I don't date anymore. I'm not here for "dating strategies". I'm here because I love the vibes you Queens give me. I'm content, having leveled up a long while back - Gloria Steinem inspired me when I was a teen in the 80's. I just want all women to feel this damn good about their lives. Become the "youest" you and great things are always gonna follow. Keep being such a great example to other women. Hugs to all of y'all!

I'm so sick for this woman. Firstly, to find out that she has wasted years on the POS who abandons her when she has been given such terrible news. Second, her survival to 10 years, even five years is not likely. Ovarian Cancer surgery is gutting a female like a fish. Stripping the diaphragm, removing part of the peritoneum and going thru full stop menopause and chemo at the same time. The scar will be vertical and the healing time is horrendous. I'm sick for her. Men can really be horrific human…

I think we should have a collection of these inexpensive or expensive ideas of what high value is. The lurkers need it simple and written down specifically. After all these years, they haven’t gotten it but we can all live vicariously thru these examples until/if they ever get it. I pretty much know what their list would like. Lol.

Agree that her apology at the end isn’t my style either. Overall message is great I think this was her way of saying, “I tolerated your BS, taught you I’d tolerate it, thereby prolonging misery for us both”. She played a part but through a powerful insight and finally demonstrating non-pickMe behavior, she finally began to see her self destructive behavior as it really was. . Loving yourself means tolerating no BS. I’m so glad she got there.

Unfortunately, this is true. I love how she realized that going thru the same shit over and over and calling it love was a lie she kept telling herself and him. We get it wrong till we get it right. She finally got on the path to level up. She just said no. Queen 👑 style!

PREACH! I've personally heard this so much in the last decade of my life (40's-50's). There was a time when I thought to myself that I must have something wrong with me...like maybe I was bipolar as one ex-fiance claimed, or that I was a bossy bitch or too selfish or ...<insert label here>. In truth, I became a Queen over the last decade with little to no tolerance for bullshit - from men or employers (mostly men LOL). Wow....She now has no choice but to make a choice whether to truly show herself the love and self care she is entitled to or to deny her own worth and stay with a LVM who objectifies her and shames her for caring about her own health and well-being. No further demonstration that her feelings are not important is needed.

I became the "man" I wanted to marry a long time ago. I quit looking and worked on me. I am everything I need. You have to add a lot of value in order to enter my world. Are there any men of value out there? I haven't found that one easy at all.

And it's a true testament to a wholesome relationship. Mature relationships are built so that we learn from one another and become better because of our partner/significant other. If these things aren't true, it's not a good relationship IMO.

Full of insight, queen and helpful! I struggle with Box 4 though because all the people I'd ask are already pretty close to me. Those few women are my tribe and are huge fans - we are all each other's fan club...so it would be hard to really get at and identify the areas that need work. I'm wondering what may actually be a good strategy to identify those people to ask. Who were the types of people (roles of people in your life) you asked about Box 4? I'm flummoxed on who to ask.

The male co-host laughing and scoffing and "seeming" amazement at "men" (and I use that term loosely) being more manipulative and scoring higher on the narcissist inventory than women. SMH! AND his entire manner of dealing with that bit of information and how ungracefully he manages being under the microscope. Very revealing. He's a clueless fuck and you can tell immediately that he is a class A narcissist.

I have never ever heard a woman describe a desired male partner by their distinctly male physical features one by one. Handsome, cute maybe... I have never heard a woman describe her position and then list a bunch of qualities as if ordering a lunch special. So telling of his shallow ass. He is built to disappoint.

Good for you for breaking those old patterns. This is really so hard AF. Pattern breaking is an olympic gold medal feat. Total Queen shizzle right here. Love it. Keep up that excellent queen spirit. And I think I've read a whole lotta stuff about women actually getting much more bored than men much more quickly. We must build lives in which we live richly, deeply and contentedly. Men are simply accessories and whether we allow them to inhabit a part of the life we create is totally by any woman’s choice and should be free of obligation or societal influence. I am finally free of the “pleasing” nature that was pummeled into me by this toxic culture. I choose if, when, who and how much of them I want.

Some men are genuinely good and loving but are NOT partnership material because they don't have partnership skills, can't seem to learn partnership skills and need a mother or a boss or a constant cheerleader. Exhausting and much better to be single, IMO.

You know, my daughter got into an abusive relationship once while in college a few years ago. She got the hell out but not until he had escalated to the point of holding a loaded gun to her head for 45 minutes. THIS was the wake up call she finally received that made the difference. According to the PI I hired (long story as I was trying to extricate her and keep her alive while he isolated her from me for a year), it takes an average of SEVEN times leaving to finally break it off with an abuser…
