Before making you a TL;DR... Do you think everything in the manosphere is bad? Do you think it only has negative impacts?

I know, this is the main thing I have to get out of my head, it's what has been hindering me for the last year. What I try to say now instead is "desirable and undesirable" and many of the "beta traits" vehiculated in the redpill ideology are actually desirable traits, especially in a commited relationship. When I lack self-confidence related to this, it is because I feel I fall behind on the "arousing traits"... and insecurity is obviously an anti-arousing trait. When my girlfriend seeks valida…

Do you make no difference between manosphere, redpill, incels? I think today, even saying the words "positive masculinity" is seen as toxic. Do you think there is absolutely nothing true in what the manosphere says? Do you believe that it is all bullshits and lies? If so, how do you think men get intk this ideology? In my opinion, there is a lot of truth spoken there, this is why many many men, like me, feel so understood. The problem is not there with the manosphere. The problem is that many me…

That's what I did. It is almost the first time that she open up to me and gave me a concrete example, now that she is about to leave. I always told her my boundaries, but I must have not let her the place to say what she had to say. It's hard for her to open up and I was always brining it back about me, me, me. The reverse role example she gave me actually reduced my insecurities and anxiety. When she told me that I was doing things in the past, I was like, maybe you're right, but I don't think …

Holy shit okay!! So running game on a woman is actually fucking her up!? I thougt that, because it worked so well that women were actually liking it, enjoying it. And here I thought that it was one of the positive thing I got from the redpill, the confidence with women because I got some game. I'm sorry to hear that about your past. Okay!! Now I understand. My current girlfriend was the one, out of all the girls I dated last summer, that made me insecure, and that worked on me.. Dread game.. I m…

Let me first give you some early background. When I (37M) was a kid, I always was attracted to girls but I was shy to approach them and talk to them. What I wanted most out of life is to have a girlfriend, to kiss a girl, to get married and be the ideal boyfriend then husband. Looking at movies when people were kissing and every kid was turning their face away with disgust in their face, I was like I WANT THAT! I had a couple of girlfriend the same year in elementary school, and then nothing for…

You're right. My parents made me understand that my intelligence gave me value, that I was great because I had good grades. My mother and some other women often told me I was going to be husband material because of things I was doing. When I enetered school, I was a reject, so I realized that, after all, those things didn't give me value. It was then a quest to find what would give me value in the eyes of others my age, especially girls. At 13, I wasn't a reject anymore, but as for girls, it too…

I've been doing too much research on my own, audiobooks and long introspections. I started therapy an month and a half and having a person helping me stay on track and not fall into self pity or self depreciation helps a lot. By myself, one day I was completely wrong and was the worst person ever and everything was my fault, and the next day, I was absolutely justified with my insecurities, she was sending clear signs of attraction to many many men around her, which would mean that I was worthle…

Later today, she told me : "You know, when I cheated on my exes, it was because they were accusing me of things I didn't do. They told me I cheated so I cheated. You don't say this but you are always insecure and always think I'm trying to attract other men" How should I take this? Is this simpky a warning that she is sick of this? Or is this a tactic to reel me in by triggering my insecurities?

First, I want to say that the redpill helped me feel good about myself, not because I wanted to dominate others, only because I was improving myself on things that I felt that I lacked : assertiveness (I was more often than not changing my point of view to please the person I'm with instead of holding up to my ideas) demonstrating my value (I was often devaluing myself and minimizing what I do because I wanted to be liked by everyone, not seeing that it would lower people's respect for me) Confi…

When I first informed myself on the redpill, this is what I saw and this is what had drawned me in. It was the first time I was really inspired to become a better man. At least it was the first time that what I was doing made me feel better, that it gave me self-esteem. The problems came when I started to believe that women were not honest with themselves and not honest with men. I started to mistrust every woman and started to think that it was either they saw me as weak and would not treat me …

Thank you, it is especially your comments and point of view that helped me see things otherwise and talk to her in a comprensive manner. She was able to give me an example of something I did that would have triggered me if we switched roles. Now I can understand when it's innocent and I had just become too insecure. In our beginnings, there were many legit triggers and all stacked on one another, I became really insecure. Now I can see how these insecurities have been affecting her, how controll…

So it's not because she desired him more? And it's not because she wanted to hurt me? It was to soothe her pain? And it doesn't mean that she would cheat when she feels bad nkw that we are exclusive?

We both want it to work because we both find qualities in each other that we always looked for and never found in previous relationships. On the other hand, we both never had a relationship that hurts us that much. It's like we are addicted to the pain of the relationship, this is so freaking toxic. I am at the point where it is either I believe that we can stop this constant pain which would mean it could be the best relationship ever because we both put our guts on the table, on I don't see th…

I have a feeling that she used him as a tool to get to me, and it worked. This is the best way I can see it, otherwise is means she wants sex with other men more and just see me as a good guy who she can use as a teddy bear. With her behaviours when we go out, I often feel like I'm a tool for her to have social proof that she can get me and then ignores me when we talk to other men. I tried to put in on innocence and social awkwardness, but even then, I feel that this is her true desires talking…

Ok, so I'm not that crazy? I mean, if she went to see him, spent one night and maybe give him a blowjob, I probably wouldn't have felt this way. She made me wait, not him. She told me she loves me and that she doesn't want to date other guys. Now, I always have the feeling that l, even if she tells me that she loves me and that it only was because we were in an open relationship, she could just sleep with another guy just because she feels bad instead of talking with me.

I am in therapy. I don't make her the villain, but I do make myself a victim. She did nothing wrong, the problem is how I see myself because of what she did. It makes me judge myself. She did what she did because of how I acted with her with a redpill mentality and I feel hjrt because of how the redpill make me analyse the situation. I had a low self esteem for most of my life, then discovered the redpill and worked on myself on so many levels, seriously, it helped me want to improve myself. The…

I know it is. I know I am attractive. The thing is, how I see it, now that we are exclusive, as a woman, she gets external validation from men on a regular basis, and when she respond to it, it's always "innocent", she is "just being freindly with them", and I know that seeing it otherwise just means that I'm insecure. As for me, as a man, if I want to get external validation from woman, I have to go and get it, and since I would see this as being unfaithful to her, so I don't do it. So I get to…

This is where it fucks with our head. We don't want ever to have a romantic partner see us as beta because it would mean being treated as a lesser man, dismissed, taken for granted and greater chances of being cheated on. What do you mean exactly when you say that he's using redpill tactics with you? I might be able to tell you what would reassure me. If you reduce his anxiety, he might lower his defense, therefore triggering your anxiety less. But I am in this relationship where we both feel an…

No, not at all, though you should make it clear from the beginning that you don't want a long term relationship. What she is saying is that you might get casual sex if the woman is feeling insecure with another man. The reason I'm trying to distance myself from the redpill is because it fucks with my head on many levels. Now that I understand the hypergamy dynamics, I find it difficult to rationalize and understand that tendencies do not mean certainties. What I learned there important was about…

That's where it fucked up my head. That's what I have been giving and getting for the previous year. Short term fun and when engagement and exclusivity came up, I would dismiss it and they would either leave or try for a while and then I would just leave. I made it very clear from day one with every girl, my current gf was no exception... yet she managed to make me feel strong feelings toward her and I chose to throw everything away to be with her. Now I think that this strong feeling was not lo…

Thanks, I think that's what I needed to hear. So yeah? It really is because of that you think? You think she made me wait because she felt uneasy because I was also seeing other girls AND that she slept with him that easily because she was feeling unsafe because I didn't wanted exclusivity? At least, for you, it would have been that?

I can consciously see that, that's why I'm with her. The thing is, years of redpill exposition brings this thought back and I feel pain in my chest. This makes rules / breaks rules thing is always haunting me in the back of my head. Please tell me how rebound sex contradicts that thought in my head? Because now that we are in a commited relationship, I always fear that she will eventually cheat on me if she sees me as beta.
