That's horrendous for you. There's definitely a big problem of our society teaching males that "real men" should enjoy and pursue anything sex related, so then when things like that happen, it's written off as something GOOD that happened to them, even if they didn't want it at all. Like when young boys are groomed by older women in positions of power (e.g., teacher), the amount of comments I've seen being like "I'd have loved that to have happened to me when I was at school" or something, it's …

All I can say is that pretty much without fail, every woman I know has been sexually harassed in some way or another, at some point in their lives, and none in the way you've described there. Without needing to think too hard I can think of instances where they've been shouted at in a sexually aggressive manner when they're walking in towns, having sexually explicit images shared without their consent with intent to harm their reputation, being victims of voyeurism/up skirting, waking up at a pa…

Look at you not being able to understand I'm not here to debate.

I'm of the opinion that most men aren't abusive, but most women have been sexually harassed in some way by men in the past. Ranging from street harassment to rape, the literature on this seems to agree with me. So while it's not a majority of men, the problem is it's a maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaassive problem that permeates to our core, and a lot of men still do enable the conditions that allow it to be so. For me it's not about blaming men, because we all grew up in a society in moulded us in ways that …

I disagree.

I understand we disagree here. But that's not really what the question was about.

what's your interpretation of what today's feminists are focusing on? I think if it was a rapist feminists would certainly be centring on it...hmm...it's hard to know. I have seen a fair bit of discussion about other murderers in feminist forums, like school shootings for example, tend to be almost exclusively carried out by males (I can't remember any female examples) so there's a bit of discussion about why that might be in feminist circles. I think generally though it'd be more likely that fe…

I've been in feminist subs for a very long time and I can't say I've ever heard anyone say that women are incapable of any sort of crimes. In fact, it's an absolute thorn in all our sides that the hashtag "believewomen" has been bastardised to be "believeallwomen", and not by feminists might I add. The addition of that little word completely warps the original sentiment of the hashtag. No-one I know has ever tried to claim women are 100% truthful and without fault 100% of the time. That's ridicu…

Well feminists (and in my opinion, anyone intelligent) would disagree with you, but that's not what we're talking about here. Like I said, not here to debate.

the hashtag was never "believeallwomen" by the way, it was supposed to be "believewomen" to counter how women are often disbelieved when they speak up about abuse that has happened to them.

Feminist here (interested in having civil discussion and not debates if you don't mind). I believe that the phenomenon of serial killers, whether male or female, cannot be solely attributed to patriarchal influences. These cases find better explanation in the realm of psychopathy and dark triad personality disorders, which cut across gender lines. Acknowledging the existence of female serial killers doesn't diminish the urgency of addressing gender-based violence or the detrimental impacts of ha…

I'm also creeped out that he covered up a stat rape of his daughter and let a way older man live with her and provide her drugs.

Red the UK Court transcripts. The jury said Depp also defamed Heard. Not sure how anyone who has read in any way into the case can say he's innocent.

In the UK it was proved in a court of law he was a wife beater. She didn't lie about being abused.

The only one who ever hooked about using actual shit as some sort of prank was Depp. He used this to tarnish her name. Read the uk judges ruling on it. The dog was known to be incontinent, Depp wasn't even at that address at that time, it makes no sense to believe it was her. Anyone who does just fell for the smear campaign because heard rhymes with turd. Schoolboy behaviour.

No such thing as mutual abuse. She reacted to his abuse in a way that didn't follow the typical "perfect victim" role. I'd have hit back too. Fuck him.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
