At least women acknowledge me on the app then, could be worse I guess.

I totally agree with you on it being an excuse, but then I would not understand why she was engaging so much in the conversation until I asked that.

Trying in person has been a disaster. It’s like pulling teeth trying to talk to people with masks, social distancing, and a lack of events. I’m not in a frat either so I think that hurts me because otherwise I think I could play in the frat boy type from my looks. I don’t have a problem cold approaching but it’s never worked for me.

Suggestions for being better at texting? I’ve gotten nearly 200 tinder matches in a month but I haven’t gotten a single match to go anywhere. Many have seemed somewhat enthusiastic talking to me but whenever I suggest going out in person I get ghosted or “I’m busy”, etc. I would say I’m rushing but when I try to extend the conversation they seem to lose interest. Just this weekend I had one girl who’s only 25 miles away “you’re really hot but I’d feel bad making you drive so far”, then left me o…

My issue is that I’m in a student ambassador program for my major so a lot of the girls in my major I talk to are technically my co workers

Instead there are two different scales I think 0-10 for thin people and 0-10 for fat people The ugliest thin people will date other ugly thin people, not more attractive fat people.

Do you think that alcohol, partying, etc. as a major way of meeting people means that people in the US are at a disadvantage because they can’t do that until they are 21 (legally)

I feel at least that getting attention from more attractive women made me realize I could do better, although this is probably a way different situation for men compared to women.

From someone in a large college in the west coast US. Average dude aged 18-22: gets 1-3 tinder matches a week across, goes to a party or two a quarter. Tinder matches never work out, usually from not getting a response. Girls are somewhat cool at parties to them but almost never go anywhere unless she is both buzzed and same/less attractives as the dude. Probably has a short term relationship towards junior or senior year, with no relationship success until a year or two after graduating. Averag…

I love how people here will say “oh that’s not true! My friend happens to be doing x” but then invalidate a general consensus demanding pages upon pages of evidence that’s must be done in a specific manner.

It’s impossible to get 500 matches on tinder in 2 hours considering you only get 30 swipe rights or something per 12 hours.

Met a chick in university class, hit off really well. She gave a “girl next door” vibe. Asked for her phone number, she enthusiastically said yes and gave it. I ask what’s her insta through text that night, she gives it, and in her bio she has some dudes name with the heart emoji next it. Huh.

Yes, but I feel like this has become a lot more common in university parties now. Many don’t want to go spend $10 for a shitty frat party where it’s still a sausage fest. The women will be there for free drinks and then go back to their dorm.

It has been less simpy on University campus imo simply because there’s less chances to do so. Not many parties being a key reason. However I feel like it has gotten more simpy online through traditional media apps like Instagram if I include how many girls I know have had their follower count blow up during the pandemic.

Oh man, that last part. It’s insane how many people I’m seeing break up now that they’re going back to college after 1.5 years with COVID making them stay home. Perfect example of “I was only with you because I couldn’t pursue better options”

It's a numbers game. Every college student is getting rejected by many companies straight out of the gate despite having the qualifications unless they went to Harvard or something. Same here, perfectly good people get rejected by many until one bites unless they're a near-perfect specimen.

Humans have had children at a young age for their entire existence until the last 100 years or so. Sure, it may be trending upwards, but the worldwide average for a women having their first kid is 26 years old. I don’t think it’s creepy for someone to want a younger partner if that’s what’s been natural for thousands and thousands of years. I’m not even an adult myself tho so what do I know.

So I was talking to a girl a couple of weeks ago She said: "I wish I was as passionate about something as you are about motorsports." I said: "Well, why don't I introduce you to it? We can watch a race together on tv and I can explain what makes it so great!" She said: "Ehhhh...nah, sorry." I said: "Why not?" She said: 'Just not my thing I guess." Did I do something wrong?

Immediately calling them a dumbass or evil and cutting off all contact just because of their beliefs - i.e. the reddit approach. Because people who believe in those things in today's age don't deserve to reproduce.

she reports you, had it happen to a mate once. Dude asked the girl out after us guys telling him the hints she gave probs meant she was into him. She said no, then the next day the guy has to visit the residential advisor because she had told them he had made her feel uncomfortable. how the hell was he supposed to know?

I'd like to add that outside of the home, there's still very little male influence. The majority of teachers are women, as well as media like kids tv shows often being written by more female/liberal people.
