Why is that? Rape?

Snekky, I am upvoting everything you say here.

You can support anyone you want. But people who are in love are internally motivated to support their loved one. I would not buy a house with a roommate but I will pool my vast wealth with the husband I love to buy a house with him.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/24 04:35 AM

Simply that if they marry people who they desire and love somewhat, it’ll be easier to maintain that and build upon that over time given than other things in the relationship will be more stable So let me get this straight. Lukewarm sorta love instead of being in love the way most would describe it, correct? What incentive does the wife have to be passionate or want sex? She will see it as a duty and put out while staring at the ceiling and planning her outfit for tomorrow. Is this the dream? Is…
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/24 02:31 AM

But if people took your advice and married with no love for their partner, would there be fewer dead bedrooms?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/24 02:18 AM

I promise I know I am in love. There is no other benefit to being in a relationship for me since I am no gold digger.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/24 02:02 AM

But the only benefit is his love for me, so....

Is it time to say that women who believe in romantic love have unrealistic expectations? Tell that to my much-loved boyfriend who loves me to death and wants to marry me.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/24 01:53 AM
11

What if that was an expectation going into the marriage? Is this an arranged marriage? Are you in India? Most people in the western world want love marriages and who can blame them. If you explain to your intended that you are only doing this as a duty and you don't have emotional connection to her, see if she says yes.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/24 01:49 AM

So women are more likely to be blue pilled and talk about true love bullshit. So as a man you would be fine with your wife or girlfriend seeing you as an acquaintance and not being in love with you?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/24 01:34 AM
21

This makes relationships shallower and more difficult to maintain Shallower than being with someone who does not love me?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/24 01:32 AM
21

Again, most people do not want platonic roommate marriages. If you learned that your spouse was apathetic toward you or just loved you as a somewhat friend, would you think that was victory?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/24 01:31 AM
25

Correct. If I found out my boyfriend did not love me, I would leave him instantly.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/24 01:26 AM
10

What keeps relationships going isn’t love But most people want to be in love-based relationships, yes? If you found out your wife was only staying with you because she can't drive a car, would you be happy?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/24 01:21 AM

In all honesty, I am a flawed hero.

negative connotation with fatness as a whole, since sloth and gluttony are two the seven deadly sins. So what if she is stick thin because of bulimia? Still sloth and gluttony, but with puke? Be honest, she looks hot.

I lived in America and it was common where I lived. We all watched videos on VHS in 1982. It was that or BetaMax, which did not catch on.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/24 06:55 PM

Good point. Almost all the women here are taken.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/24 06:49 PM

as VHS didn't really take off until the late 80s when VCRs dropped in pricing. No trust me, early 80s. We all had VCRs by 1982.

I'd certainly be interested in hearing from people who do enjoy it. I enjoy certain things that involve wiping. I like to spray and shine. I enjoy scrubbing otherwise shiny kitchen appliances. Frankly, getting porcelain spotless squeaky clean is cool to observe. And I get cardio while at it. Lots of chores are enjoyable and I love the before and after effect. But I do not work full time. When I did, and commuted to the office and back, it sucked. I was exhausted and tired out and hated doing cho…

People are not tabula rasa. Little boys like to play with blocks and then start smashing and crashing the things they built with blocks, while yelling and throwing things and pretending to be Godzilla. I taught elementary school and let me tell you, boys and girls are just not the same. Neither one is bad, but getting little boys to sit still and pay attention is HARD. So I know that is natural to their gender.

Like how sexualized Y.T. is, even though the character is 15 years old. I...just now remembered this. Yuck. Y.T. had sex with the macho man too, oh lord ...and then her vaginal device stabbed him. As I now type this I cannot believe I ever liked that book.

I really liked Snow Crash but I also really got into Stephen King and now that I'm older, it seems less deep. Snow Crash was groundbreaking for the accurate predictions of internet culture more than anything else. Neal Stephenson is not my favorite writer, his characters seemed mean.

/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 03:04 AM

Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul are my favorite TV shows, so I can answer this. I never once imagine myself as Walter or Saul. I imagine living in Albuquerque and I feel horrible for the characters and Jessie and his girlfriend and I relish the little details and the epic writing and the feel of 20 years ago. I love every bit of it. At no point did I think it's a Man's Show as it is made for everyone. Do you read Anna Karenina and imagine yourself as Anna?

Limerence is something I know well. When I had a crush on a guy in high school, he broke my heart and it took years to recover. Same thing happened when I had a crush later on and we didn't even date. Destroyed me inside. Finally I met the love of my life and the emotions were so powerful and painful, I knew I could not screw this one up so here we are 7 years later and he is snoring right next to me. Other men simply do not exist.

If you are raised by a raging alcoholic mother, you may subconsciously recreate that dynamic by being wildly attracted to party girls with fiery personalities. You look back in ten years and realize that what you thought was basic hotness and physical attraction was really your mental programming meshing perfectly with her issues. In other words, chemistry.

I am an artist and friends with many artists. Male artists draw differently and have distinct advantages in seeing perspective correctly and drawing things accurate to 3D, such as cars and buildings. Female artists such as myself struggle to visualize things in the round and make mistakes in this area. Men aren’t really interested in “love” at all, just respect and adoration from others, i.e. it’s all one sided and being given to them by others without reciprocation. I was going to upvote you but no, this part is wrong. Men are very interested in love and being loved, but they show love differently than women do. My dad literally NEVER says "I love you" or shows affection. It's normal for certain cultures to be stoic. Women want to hug and kiss and shower their men with compliments and smiles.

Meanwhile those women know they would flip out if the inverse was happening and a woman was doing all that for her husband/bf. Um, no? I do this for my boyfriend when he sleeps over.

It sounds awful. My parents were traditional and dad made decisions that mom just accepted, we all did, but no one was being fooled. To me this sounds mean and hurtful to make dad into a dupe, but also contradicts the idea that he is wiser and a true leader. In other words, yikes. So I am glad you reject the bullshit.

Both my sisters claim they believe wives should submit, but they're both really in egalitarian relationships. My grandmother was the queen of her household, bossed my grandfather around all damn day, yet claimed to be a submissive wife.

This involves getting to know the guy first and having a strong sense of self and independence. I know a lot of divorced women. I dodged that path myself. Sometimes the writing is on the wall, sometimes they turn evil after marriage...but so many men and women get hurt because their spouse is a massive disappointment and not what they thought. One guy married in his twenties and had kids and now, as a middle aged man, divorced because her mental illness reached psychosis phase of delusion. He ha…

This is what I observed too. The relationships where the woman was abusive were HORRIBLE to observe, as the man cowered and groveled or just hid from his wife. Literally slept in his car. In all cases, he was a virgin or just unwanted when they met and she gobbled him up. Quickly. Vegas wedding. Then abuse.

feminism and western culture encourage promiscuity They also encourage other things such as healthy diet and exercise but look how that turned out. So society "encouraging" people only works if they already want to do it.

/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/23 08:57 PM

Like, I wanna look into quakerism This is where I am at. I gave up on normal protestant churches after decades of insanity.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/23 06:34 PM

It's confusing here.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 07:09 PM

I don’t understand it because it sounds like they’re suggesting that women should just commit to men they’re not attracted to, which doesn’t seem like a sustainable solution. I actually tried this in my twenties and it was a fail. NEVER date a guy you do not find yummy.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 07:07 PM

Trad cons do not care about individual happiness.

But how do we know he was deceived? Maybe the mom told him "Look, you'll do." and he was delighted because NO ONE wanted him until that point. Who can say?

Oh I WILL
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 06:08 PM

I was bragging about how I can't keep my hands off my boyfriend and someone here told me "stop Chad chasing" and it really made my day.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 06:03 PM

I am surprised it lasted as long as it did.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 05:54 PM

A woman's value is tied to her youth, fertility, purity and loyalty. A woman presenting herself to you later in life fulfills none of these. Please be sure to tell women this on the first date so they can leave you.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 05:42 PM

No, OP only observe her mom and her mom's friends in the post. Not people at Walmart or people at church or couples on a luxury cruise or couples in divorce court.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 05:40 PM

Oh please.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 05:36 PM

Yes please.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 05:35 PM

Gun range.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 05:34 PM

Good.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 05:34 PM

GROSS! I had a boss like that and I am horrified just reading this account.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 05:33 PM
5

So what are you suggesting that poor man should have done instead? Been a forever bachelor virgin with no family to love? Did he have ANY other offers?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 05:12 PM
1

Would a woman do the same sacrifice for me if she were single? I’d think in most cases no. I am proof to the contrary. My boyfriend is divorced with kids, I am childless.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 05:09 PM
2

Wrong on all counts
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 02:45 PM

They don't. Women treat men they are attracted to much better, and part of that includes giving them a much longer leash. This is true of all humans, not just one gender.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 04:26 AM
2

It’s sad to read some of this. I really hope some of them are just being edge lords and don't mean the horrid things they type here.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 04:06 AM
5

Too many people confuse lust with love. Men are capable of lusting over someone, but they are not capable of truly loving someone. Men only desire women as a form of utility, so that they can fulfill their constant need for instant gratification. The absence of utility leads to the absence of desire. Thus, it is conditional, and usually temporary as a result. See how easy to was to gender flip this nonsense? Still not factual.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 01:23 AM
1

No its not.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 08:56 PM

Or it is insignificant in which case why are you withholding such a small insignificant thing that your beloved wants so much? To be married to the chip on his shoulder instead.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 07:06 PM
7

So the actual relationship and real expressions of love on a day to day basis are meaningless in the grand scheme if you don’t get sex?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 06:39 PM

Especially for introverted women or women with small social circles, who don't go out partying, OLD is a good way to find suitable men. This is how I met my love.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 05:12 PM

If your partner finds out about it, he’s definitely going to tamper with it if he’s the type of person you do need to escape from. Yup, tracking device.

Same.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 04:38 PM

The "problems" with men's behavior stop being problems when you remove women from the equation. Which is why male prisons are like Disneyland's happy place.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 04:54 AM
1

The problem is that women expect men to keep giving and working for society even if there is no sexual and loving reward for them. Don't you go to work to...pay your bills? Buy a house? Eat?

I did this when I was 24, and now I realize what a huge mistake it was to date a 34 year old man. Many women learn the hard way.

I am dating a Chad Indian.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 07:01 PM
15

I have been in big age gaps both up and down. No one cared when I dated a guy 10 years up, it was a non issue. But when I was 40 and dating a 30 year old man, people had words and were shocked. Do you know why? I look incredibly young for my age, so when I said my boyfriend was 10 years younger, they thought I was dating a teenager. Literally. Once I explained my actual age and his as well, no one cared.

the issues i’m referring to are the common cited ones that men say here hypergamy, 80/20, af/bb, and all those other things. So fairy dust and leprechauns? Just made up nonsense?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/23 03:50 PM
0

So you would like an arranged marriage?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/23 02:18 AM

It would be the same, with all the short term dating and long term dating leading to the same conclusion later on. Assortive mating.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/23 02:11 AM

but I'm confident theres a reason that multiple cultures and throughout history that idea was established. Yes, to shame and stigmatize single hood.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/23 02:10 AM

The guys here really believe they are tabula rasa.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/23 02:09 AM

Finally we get to hear about men on the carousel!
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/23 02:07 AM

By the time a woman hits 30 she is full of trauma from the poor choices she made in her 20s. Like taking that job she hated?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/23 01:56 AM
17

So by your logic a woman can just walk up to you personally, point at your chest and declare "This one will do." and you will pliantly go home with her?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/23 01:55 AM
20

So men are passive recepticles of female will?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/23 01:44 AM
19

This makes no sense. People are single for a number of reasons. Why assume the women are the only bad ones?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/23 01:33 AM
52

So a single man in his 30s is a blameless victim but his single female counterpart is a wanton tart with a bad attitude?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/23 01:20 AM
2

Historically dating has fallen in the past, especially after huge inventions such as agriculture. Of course eventually humans adapted, though. "Dating" is a 20th century invention. You guys, you really need to read books.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/23 12:51 AM

Do you live like man and wife?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/23 02:38 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/23 02:28 AM

what if he said working was too hard or tiring and he just wanted to play video games during the day ? Am I dating a twelve year old?

Same answer. But I am also not struggling.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/23 01:37 AM

I have been on and off BC and it made no difference.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/23 04:38 PM

This is very well put.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/23 10:03 PM

I know plenty of chads with kids.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/23 08:59 PM

Are you going to leave everything to your boyfriend or girlfriend in your will?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/23 08:22 PM
5

I am older and I have seen what happens to those couples when someone dies. The survivor gets screwed hard with no inheritance because he left it all to his kids and not her. Also no pension left for her. She gets to be old and alone with no place to live.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/23 08:21 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/23 08:13 PM

Of course it’s flattering but she risks being seen as nuts.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/23 06:47 PM
15

Bad idea unless you are long term friends already. Strange men will assume you are easy or desperate.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/23 05:51 PM
3

If you're not religious, there are still legal benefits to both parties in marriage.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/23 05:46 PM

This likely the case. Men who do not date men have no idea how sneaky male abusers can be.

/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/23 06:41 PM

Just want to say I like your flair.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/23 05:36 PM

My point: you can see other people as non-sexual entities and it'd be fine. No one has to be horny for anyone else.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/23 05:36 PM

The problem with your logic is that you are saying for women, men they're not attracted to are not seen as men. You said it. Not me.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/23 05:30 PM

Are you attracted to your parents? Siblings? Of course not. Just because you do not find someone attractive does not mean you despise them or see them as less than human. I see men as men, you see women as women. Why does everyone have to be panting after everyone else?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/23 05:26 PM

Women are attracted to men Men are attracted to women. Bisexuals are common. If all you care about is people drooling after you, why not run with the wolves?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/23 05:22 PM

As a man you will always be competing in the sexual marketplace. You can't just dress up in the equivalent of a sexy witch costume and shake your ass and know that the dozens of men around you are affirming your sexual appeal by virtue of their presence. As a man you have to fight tooth and nail to garner any sexual appeal at all Gay night club. Please try this out.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/23 05:18 PM

So you're telling me you want to be shot in the head??
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/23 03:56 PM
20

The internet has filled your mind with garbage. Stop worrying about non-problems.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/23 03:40 PM

but it still comes from the same source of women being inherently treated better. When a boy is born, they fire guns into the sky and throw a giant party. Everyone is happy! When a girl is born, they act like someone died. No one celebrates. Malala speaks of this in her biography, about being a girl in that part of the world. Before she was shot in the head. You should read it.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/23 02:57 PM

Nice!
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/23 02:54 PM

it is because girls are treated better and boys/men need to learn to be aggressive to function in society. So how do you explain Muslim countries where boys are treated like royalty and girls are second class?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/23 02:38 PM

Please seek help I got a 3 day ban for saying this to someone.

But imagine their point of view. Unwanted pregnancy. Now what? There is no way for her to win.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/23 04:59 PM

Where did I say this? I am mostly pro life myself. But the vast majority of women want the choice over their bodies and sex means risking pregnancy.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/23 04:55 PM

I do not care about height and my guy is shorter than I am, but I always assumed women want tall men because big dick.

strange consequence of this exchange for needing a man to wanting a man is that it made relationships more transactional across the board. I would argue the opposite, that relationships are no longer based on needing money and instead are based on love.

There still has to be some pushback Why? Anyone who has a bad experience will learn from it. Duh. You saying "Hey now Sweaty, don't get all bitter on me now!" does nothing. And most women are not bitter, they just learn important lessons from their horror stories.

I knew a few single women in the hot twenties age bracket and they were living like nuns. Only one or two of my coworkers were promiscuous but most women that age were either fretting over their boyfriends' happiness or spending their time with platonic friends.

No, you are wrong about Muslim countries. They think single men are sexual predators, full stop. My good Buddy lived there for years as a single man and they treated him this way even though he is celibate. He was kicked out of his apartment for the crime of being unmarried. He never bothered any women.

You know which countries treat single men as predators just for existing? Arab Muslim countries. Make single men shop at different times of the day than women, make them eat on the other side of the restaurant away from women, make them live in separate apartment complexes even. Countries like Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia etc. are far from feminist yet they treat single men like rapists. How do you explain that?

Mermen and other merpeople may or may not have been cute, but this Little Mermaid was already crushing on humans despite this being a genetic dead end. For no comprehensible reason he also wanted to eat the grapes hanging off the vines in the local vineyard. This makes sense. No, creepy is a description of behavior. It has nothing to do with looks or personal taste. A man could look like Ryan Gosling but if he stands around at the playground staring at kids and mumbling to himself that is creepy.

someone choosing to be alone affects no one but themselves For every woman who chooses to be alone, there is one less man in a relationship. This should not affect our decision either way, but this is why the guys here are pissed at us.

I live in a wealthy neighborhood with a huge pool. The people I see at the pool (I swim every single day) are all ages and all types. Here is what I noticed: East Asians are almost never fat. They rarely look jacked, but only one of them is overweight. They also walk a lot. South Asians are either skinny fat or fat, with few exceptions after college years. Again I know a couple Indians who are in shape in later life but most are not. There is only one black person at the pool, so cannot make gen…

But factually, promiscuous women ARE a tiny minority.

This is a good point. Chimps and bonobos are very promiscuous and have no shame about incest or homosexuality and everyone is free game. The only off-limits sexual pairing is mother-son. And the mating of alphas is all well and good but the chimps mate with everyone else too. Just all over the place.

I think eventually when the dollar crashes and Islam takes over the West we will see a rise in polygamy, where single moms have to marry into some guy's house or some shiet. Because that's how nature intended it. Pure insanity.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 07:40 PM

Ironically it is PPD men, not the women, who write daily posts about how they should be allowed to have harems. The women aren’t advocating to be allowed to have multiple partners. Yup. I have been on this sub for six years and lots of red pill men believe they deserve to cheat. Because "men and women are different" is a blanket excuse for vile behavior.

the likelyhood of them finding such women are almost zero. Be it in brazil or in the anglosphere. There are no moral objections to men doing it. Just empirical ones. There are almost no chance a guy will find a woman they would wanna marry (unless they are extremely desperate sexually) Why would you say that?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/23 01:02 AM

Dating with the purpose of marrying can easily force people in the future husband/wife category when they have no business being there. I have seen this so many times. I went to a Christian college and lots of people rushed into marriage because otherwise they could not have sex. Huge divorce rate afterwards.

No, it's pretty much normal for people to have failed relationships when young. Getting hung up on an ex can happen to men or women, but most people get over it soon enough. Nothing to do with alphas.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/23 04:12 PM

That's what we try to tell the guys here but they never listen.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/23 04:49 AM

In the real world, no one presents adults with different options of what to do with their life. Yeah they do. You have the choice to work a job or live in a tiny house or go to prison or live on a boat or become a druggie or be a male prostitute or anything you like. Everyone has choices.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/23 07:01 PM

Try explaining that to your dad.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/23 04:04 AM

A lot of women from religious communities find this out once married.

t's just a matter of actually caring, being willing to listen, and prioritizing both men and women, not just women. Oh sorry, I was too busy being empathetic and listening to men IRL and prioritizing them. Who are you?

You might have to compromise. What if you meet a gorgeous gal who makes minimum wage?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/23 06:47 PM

C'mon, why would they marry someone they hate? Most women would rather be single than do that.

Younger women are often more focused on looks, with lower standards for behaviour. As women age their standards for looks reduce and their standards for how they are treated rise. I have never observed this. I picked my boyfriend based on looks and I am middle aged.

Emotions are necessary, so is logic. False dichotomy.

/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/23 09:39 PM

Are you claiming that men and women do love each in the exact same way? You're wrong. Why would gender make a difference in how you love?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/23 07:58 PM

what you describe as 'toxic thinking' to her was a consequence of experiences where reality painfully ripped the band-aid off (perhaps several times) and she was forced to become keenly aware that these stipulations and conditions do exist See how easy this was to gender flip? See why it's wrong to become bitter about an entire gender just because life is gritty? Everyone on planet earth has been let down.

I never notice any change on or off the pill.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/23 03:18 AM

In churches this is a huge push. They want all engaged couples to do a year or something so that the newlyweds are off to a great start, but from what I hear it was mostly basics like having kids and finances and sex (since you are not allowed to have sex yet) and all the stuff normal people figure out by living together.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/23 03:15 AM

Sure, why not?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/23 03:12 AM

If a man truly loves you, he will want to be with you and make you happy. If he makes excuses, that's a no. If he is wishy washy, that's a no. Never try to change him.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/23 03:09 AM

This is especially true if you're female and grew up in church. 100% true. I am still unlearning religious scrupulosity and all the neuroses that attend this upbringing.

most black pillers want to be women, and they want women to want that. I actually agree with you.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/23 10:12 PM

Yes. My best friend kept berating me for being shallow and going for looks and so I dated a guy for a year that I did not find attractive. Of course I ended it and he was heartbroken, so this was terrible advice. Don't date people you do not like, it's mean.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/23 10:04 PM

Trust me, I was single for a brief time in my forties and I met the love of my life. He of course is divorced. There are millions of divorced people once you hit middle age.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/23 02:02 PM

There are so, so many divorcees and they are available for dating from the mid thirties onward. No shortage.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/23 01:55 PM

Seriously? Have you met any divorced people?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/23 01:44 PM

Where did you hear that? I read the opposite.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/23 01:41 PM

If women stopped choosing and couples were assigned randomly by some lottery, there would be less conjugal violence on women. There would be less of everything. If I got assigned a man by lottery, I would move far away from him.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/23 08:09 PM

Do you imagine there is less domestic violence in arranged marriages where the parents picked the spouse?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/23 08:08 PM

These days we don't need men financially but most of us are choosing to be with a man because we love them. Spot on. I love my boyfriend, I do not need his bank account.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/23 08:05 PM

How does this follow?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/23 07:59 PM
15

You can have whatever standards you want. "I want a ballerina astronaut physicist who also won the Nobel prize." It's only a problem if you cannot obtain this chick.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/23 03:01 AM
5

You are overthinking it. Being a tenant to your boyfriend makes things weird because tenants have certain rights and landlords are obligated to follow them. A tenant needs 24 hr notice if the landlord wants to come into their space, a tenant cannot be evicted without 30 day notice, etc. Also the landlord is not allowed into their bedroom or bathroom without the above notice and you can see how this being a romantic relationship is just so many levels of weird.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/23 11:27 PM
7

See why this is so weird? No one should bother with this mess of boyfriend being their landlord. It violates boundaries.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/23 10:27 PM
5

He is sharing her bed too? If she got an actual roommate/tenant setup where she has her own suite and never had to share her bedroom or bathroom, has her own life and treats him like an actual landlord- would you be OK with that?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/23 06:10 PM

The good men are really not there because they are taken off the market very quickly. Until the secondary market for divorcees in their 30s.

/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 04:51 PM

but I'm trying to imagine how much falling in love would happen in a "pure" scenario with no societal pressure, no beneficial insurance policies or tax laws, no need for breadwinners or homemakers. ::raises hand:: I fell in love with none of those benefits and no ulterior motive. It's real. Love is real.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/23 07:51 PM

Don't you realize that the idea of romantic love is not older than a few hundred years? False. Humans have been falling in love ever since they could. Dopamine and oxytocin are not new to our brains, and people have been writing about falling in love even back in the Old Testament. The idea that "romantic love" was invented recently is silly, based on what exactly?

Last I checked, you are not from the states but here it varies by state which ones recognize common law marriages and none of them are automatic. You have to declare yourselves married and live together seven years and then maybe.

/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/23 02:56 PM

As a woman, I do not want to settle either. It's not a gender issue, it's a matter of holding out for the person who rocks your world. Glad I did just that.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/23 02:23 PM

Hot girls have no reason to hate men and tend to be pleasant. Hot girls get hit on more, by all types. Hot girls are harassed more, stalked more, you get the idea. As a hottie myself I have complained about this.

Sciatica is sometimes caused by tension. I was stressed out in life and it caused my piriformis muscle to tighten up and squeeze the sciatic nerve. I could not stop this tension until I changed up my entire life and then whoosh, it went away.

Facts. Married men sometimes hide wedding rings and pretend to be bachelors, and these are not Chads either. So websites that out them are good.
