You're the one arguing the age of consent rises to 18. Each state sets their own laws for age of consent and incest. Federal law only deals with transporting/traveling/means of communication for sex with minors, and seemingly nothing for incest. I can't find anything with WV law that increases the age of consent with authority figures.

That's in regards to what qualifies as a relation for incest, not in regards to being labelled an "authority figure". A teacher would be an "authority figure", but isn't covered under this. The authority figure in regards to sex is something that disqualifies the person under authority from granting consent- thus making it rape. I wasn't sure if they had sex when she was under 18. He wasn't charged because he was an authority figure, he was charged because he was her stepfather.

Point is their odds of getting in a fight is far less than 100% (your odds of being injured during a crime in the US is about 1:220, meanwhile self-defence students average 4 injuries/yr), so you lose right out the gate.
