I think he means that he supports issues gay men face for being gay men, but not the issues they face just for being gay. Religious fanatics spreading hate about homosexuality in general is not relevant here, but if they specifically targeted only gay men it would be. FFS, the #3 post is talking about how false rape accusations should not be a focus for the sub because it is 'trivial' at only 8%. Who is going to pay for it? Is there any reason to think that if employers were forced to offer this, the total benefits package would not just adjust to absorb it? So instead of being able to negotiate for how they want to be compensated, employees would be forced to accept part of their pay in an option for paternity leave which they may or may not even want.
