You’re supposed to be too busy with your awesome life and other prospects to notice she didn’t reply. Work on that.

My girlfriend got her CPA and has worked in the Big 4, had her own company, worked for smaller companies and then started a financial planning team for a wealth management company. Now she is working for that same last one doing taxes and providing “concierge services” to their largest AUM clients, and loving it. My point being, life is long and you will probably have a bunch of different jobs in your career. I’d saw at least get your degree and then see what’s available. Once you get a few year…

One advantage of dating older: I know who the fat chicks are.

I had a year long relationship implode because of this. She was worried she would end up “converting“ her to my side and her whole world was on the other side. And not very tolerant of opposing opinions. So I would say on depends on the girl. If it’s super important for her self identity, it will probably fail eventually. I’ve had plenty of relationships where we were on different sides but it just didn’t matter that much. Often, we would just agree to not discuss it, to save on the hurt feeling…

There’s a great line the remake of “The Thomas Crown Affair”. The girl he’s dating has read his file (long story)and is impressed that a poor kid from Ireland got into Oxford, on a boxing scholarship! He says, “Rich kids can’t box. The problem was learning to talk.”, referring to his lower class accent. Fake it till you make it, and use your differences as something that makes you unique. Own it!

My girlfriend had an MBA and a cushy marketing job on the VP track, but hated it and decided to be a therapist. But being the overachiever she is, she wanted to be in charge so got the MD so she could be a psychiatrist. Needed a year of prerequisites, then a year waiting to get into med school, then 4 years MD classes, then 4 year psych residency. Started her practice when she was 39. She had money from her family so no student loans. Also got married and popped out twins within two years of sta…

For a 4/4 song, you do six counts on the first measure and a half, then the next 6 counts in the next measure and a half. If you do that again, after 24 beats you've gone six measures and you're back on the beat. Easier to do it than to say it. East coast also has a variation with triple steps where the 3-4 and 5-6 are a triple rather then just one step. Then you move up to an 8 count pattern where instead of step-step triple-triple, you go step-step triple step-step triple. Cha-cha is a good tr…

Took each of my kids to Europe on individual trips when they were teens. Just me and one of them for a week. It was the highlight of their teen years. To see the Rosetta Stone or Pompeii or the Mona Lisa or Stonehenge put them way ahead of other kids. Sometimes they'd get units in school on some topic and they could talk first-hand about it. One of them just graduated from college and spent 9 weeks in Australia and New Zealand. Just the kid, a ticket and a backpack. I suggested a few things to s…

First thing I did when I get out of college and got some income was to learn to fly. Coolest hobby in the world.

Chuck Yeagers autobiography. I hope they do a movie of it. You'd think it was fiction if you didn't know it's true.

I told my LTR (the first few weeks of our dating) I was going to fuck her so good she wouldn't know what day it was. Afterwards I asked her what day it was and she laughed so hard she almost fell out of bed (because she had no idea) and when she tried to talk her mouth didn't work. We still laugh about it.

I went because I was all logic and no emotion. I was missing all the subliminal communication between people. Going helped me see the colors in relationships after missng 80% of the communication. Pretty necessary in relationships. The other thing my counselor did was made sure I didn't get oneitis after I started dating after my divorce. I went on over 40 dates and I found the dating pool to be essentially infinite. My issues weren't huge but my time there was a big help for me.

Been there a number of times when my kids were different ages. One vacation when they were still single digit ages we did a few days there and then went to Captiva Island, on the Gulf side. There are a ton of activities there including a wildlife refuge area with salt and fresh water on different sides. Six months later they didn't remeber much about Disney but we're still talking about the alligators we saw, the pelicans at the pier and the awesome kids club at South Seas resort. YMMV

She has a Harvard MBA and you think she's a "dumb ass"? Just because you accomplished a few things, how do you think she'll feel if you shit all over her when she asks what you think of her degree? You are missing the big picture. You "showed her" how much better you are and went home alone. Yup, you won that round. Hope you had fun jerking it in your shower later. Sometimes in marriage they talk about "do you want to be right or do you want to be married". In this case, Do you want to be right,…

If you start working a year later because of spending an extra year in school, that's a year where instead of earning, say $60k, you're spending $10k for school. That's a $70k swing just to change a letter grade. Not worth it.

Well, killing is relative. I'm not pulling college girls. At this point I'm as old as their fathers. But I have some cool hobbies, like offshore sailing, and with that profile, I got more great women then I had time to see. I'm in a great LTR now, but with the experience before and new TRP knowledge, I'd have no worries. Hell, even being LTR there are a few interested women that I could plate if I wanted to go that route. One is a size 2 and in marathon shape, 17% body fat. Love those hip bones.…

I sent it to my 20 year old son, and he's been reading for weeks and is now looking for a better job and perhaps college. It's changed his life and he's not even started yet. http://www.mrmoneymustache.com

Let her do her finals and you should work up some others girls. She'll come back after finals if she's interested.

I'm skinny, six foot, marathoner build. Which is not so great at 20, but at 50 I'm killing it. Most guys are fat and out of shape, so my relative SMV is much higher now. So no great looks, but better than most of my competition.

Ha, well reading it now it's remarkably blue pill in content but simultaneously red pill in tone. I described me, her, is a nd then a list of activities that I would enjoy. But it sounded like I could really lead. My methodology was first to list the traits in a woman I was looking for. I'd actually read Neil Clark Warrens book, "how to find your soulmate in two dates or less". Sounds stupid, but what he says to do is make a list of 10 non-negotiable traits you are looking for. I picked things l…

What worked for me was writing a killer profile on Match. Women who would have totally ignored me in a club were lining up. I had more dates than time. I'm in an LTR now but if that ends I'll line up a steady plate stream and enjoy.

Prediction: She will continue to manipulate the relationship by slipping into and out of depression depending on whether she is getting what she wants and what other stresses she is under. This: Genius!

I think in the Fun Fact he means the lifestyle before the divorce, not before the marriage.

Bi-polar + cheater = why would you ever want to see her again? Isn't your SMV way more than hers? If not, you have lots of work to do. If so, next.

I had this. It was basically not cueing on all the emotional subtexts going on. I opted for counseling, and specifically a small group setting with others. I did it when going through a divorce. I'd bring in some horrible thing my ex did and talk about my reactions, which were all thought out and logical, while the group was going crazy that I had no emotional reaction to it. Took several years, but the last few women I've dated were actually in the counseling profession, so I think I've got it …

Took all three of my kids on individual trips to Europe (each trip just me and one of them). It's the greatest seeing their minds expanding right in front of you! My daughter just graduated college in December, and is finishing a seven week trip to Australia and New Zealand next week, with a 7 hour layover in Honolulu. Rough life!

Yeah, I know what you mean. I guess if she follows through, then we'll be okay. If not, trouble. Other than this issue she is really great for the most part.

Yeah, this crap doesn't end when you're young. My LTR girlfriend and I have been dating six years (not living together, different towns with kids in high school) and we're both in our 50's. Me: I only have a mortgage. She: mortgage, 35k home equity loan maxed out, carrying $14000 on her credit cards. Just took out $24000 loan for her daughters first year of college. WTF? I finally sat her down and said this shits ends or I'm out of here. Bunch of complaining, forcing us to go to her counselor (t…
