I use music and art as a form of expression and catharsis, picking up my guitar and playing it into the night is one of the few things that really lets me vocalize the pain and work through it, play a melody. Spot on. I can't even begin to explain how much this song, for example, has helped me through depression.

If what the other guy said (implication of you having not taken him up on the offer because you think her girl is ugly) worries you, this is the best solution.

Tell him that your girl saw the photos and is threatening to dump you and is basically spying on you right now. Try to seem nervous in the process

If you don't mind me prodding, What were your meditation sessions like? Sure. It has varied over time, but most of the times I have a rampant barrage of random thoughts all the time. Depending on my general mental state at the time, it may be sexual thoughts, anger, fear, or anxiousness. There were times when I consistently had decent sessions with very pronounced states of clarity and calmness, and then sometimes I had sessions where it may take around 10-15 minutes for me to realize that I'm d…

That's what you call life-changing. Great story, thanks. One major problem that I have when meditating (I'm talking 30+days at a time) is that instead of happier I actually become more sad. Sad probably isn't the best way to put it. Maybe melancholic is the better word. Basically I find that I have trouble relating to people, and feel like I'm distancing myself from a lot of friends while doing it. This was probably a very shitty way of explaining it but that was the best I could do. I guess it'…

It's awesome that you could find it so helpful in your life. I've been a lazy fuck about it and haven't yet been able to keep it as a consistent habit... Would you mind talking a bit more about how you approach it? Vipassana or some other type? How often do you have a meditation session and for how long?

That's a nice idea. Would you say that drawing falls into this category? I always wanted to be able to draw my dreams in a dream journal so I can reflect in next years where and how my mind was at the time.

Great point. I've been boxing for several years and sparring on at least three-times-a-week basis, but eventually had to stop because of knuckle arthritis from overtraining. It still persists to this day, but I do occasionally hit a heavy bag for a few rounds of light workout, but during the time I was boxing it was absolutely amazing. I had some plans to have a few amateur fights too, before the knuckle injuries.

First thing that caught my eye as well lol. Not accusing OP of bullshiting, but this reads like bullshit. I'm in my early twenties now. I haven't been lifting as much and as hard lately, but when I was 19, for a short period of time I was fucking huge because I didn't care about bodyfat, ate everything in sight and focused solely on strength and size. I was 122 freaking killograms (6ft3) and the best I could do was 140 killograms for 8 reps(which isn't impressive, but still). I tried front squat…

My recent technique has been to use the silent/internal mantra "1" on every exhale for 60 minutes. The resultant induced mental states are superior even to those I've achieved through psilocybin, DMT, LSD, or MDMA. Hey man, thanks for the value! One question: so what you do is just exhale and "say" 'one' in your mind while exhaling for 60 minutes? Anything else to it? Does your body's position matter?

A while ago I made a comment in the April 21st weekly improvement thread describing how I started getting my shit together. Since then: 1.)I got promoted at my job. I now have a way more stress-free position that pays enough for me to have basic necessities and allows me to have enough mental capacity and willpower to focus on my goal when I get back home at night. 2.)I've been lifting and dieting religiously and have lost 7 kilograms. My lifts are getting stronger, my body is getting leaner. Cl…

Hey I had extremely busy last few weeks because of the midterms and I couldn't dedicate as much time to it as I could in previous weeks, but I never skipped a day from learning AT LEAST SOMETHING coding related. Thanks man, I needed that. 1.)If you aren't getting frustrated, you aren't trying hard enough I'm in a perpetual state of "pissed off" last few weeks. Tutorials are good, but official language and framework docs should be your best bet Could you elaborate? Do you perhaps mean books?

Not me. It's some Russian guy that decided to shoot a prank video. Why did the guy get aggressive? Well, it's kinda hard to explain but I'll try. Georgia (the country shown in the video) is very conservative and traditional. I mean girls that fuck before marrying are regarded as sluts here. I shit you not. Naturally, the dude in the end got very aggressive because of his belief systems that if his sister is approached in a sexual way she's being regarded as a girl who would have sex with a guy (…

what did you find was the best ways to apply them? I don't really know. I just took notes and really paid attention to what was said in Blueprint. After that, it's just reference experiences. It will all eventually "click" because what's said there is really how people's minds work. You might have a realization WHILE watching it and having something brought into your awareness, or you might have it after re-watching with a couple of new reference experiences. You should analyze social situations…

Well they have like thousands of videos up so you might have seen something that wasn't necessarily useful to you in the given moment. The principles and mindsets that helped my game: "Always assume attraction" ; "Abundance Mentality" ; "Outcome independence" ; "Having a stronger reality (Blueprint Decoded was where this concept was first introduced to me) ; "Having a strong frame" etc What really helped me was watching Tyler's "Blueprint Decoded" and applying everything that was said in it.

I'm not even going to argue with a person who still believes in a pure marketing ploy that all fights go to the ground. Anyone who has actually been in a street fight situation knows that once you're on the ground you're pretty much done. I'm not condemning MMA as a sport btw. MMA is the most complete form of fighting systems - that is clear as day. However, in real street fights, simplicity is the key. I'm merely trying to convey that boxing is much better for the IMMEDIATE results that the OP …

You should take up boxing. As guy with severe anxiety myself (in the past I mean) taking boxing really did help. I suggest this not because you need to know how to kick some phaggot's ass if anything like what happened today happens to you again, but because of other psychological benefits it gives. Nice observations. In marriage or any form of LTR, the frame should be presented right away. If women are really butthurt about men's libido not being satisfied by interactions with them, then closing up their legs and just "allowing" sex once in a while just for duty is completely irrational. The said frame should be that "either you fully invest in our sexual relationship or I'll go and easily start spinning plates and get it from them"

There's shit tons of methods and ideologies about meditation. What I'd advice you to do is try some of them and find one method/practice of it and stick to it for at least 6-12 months (I'm a beginner myself (I knew of its benefits for a couple of years but It's been little over a month since I decided to commit seriously) I don't even consider myself at "basic level", but changing many methods (which all have their separate intents and purposes) made me kinda dabble around and not fully dedicate…

As a voracious tv show watcher myself, I'd advice you to substitute movies/tv shows with books. Nice analysis. I''ve also been thinking about how we have adapted the sedentary lifestyles despite the fact that humans are STILL hardwired for hunter-gatherer society. Good points. It just occured to me that it might be benefical to LTR-s. Let me explain: It's commonly known that women's attraction is based on her mate being able to protect their offspring. If your woman has spent considerable amount of time with you and knows about your fighting capabilities, it's obvious that she'll feel very safe and protected and therefore attracted to you.

"makes you faster" - that's one of the main reason why I've been giving my thoughts to returning to muay thai lately. Plus having low bodyfat is essential for good sex. By the way Stefan Molyneux is amazing.

Reference experiences bro ;) the more someone tells me that martial arts is more beneficial than lifting the more I'll have a reason to justify my lazy ass to not get fit. You're right on that part but don't think that I don't know that myself haha. I shouldn't be giving some bullshit excuses but there really are many factors into play here. I got gyno which has fucked up my physique for years now. Not a severe case, but an extremely unpleasant and noticeable one. There are many other factors bu…

I do agree with muay thai being one of the supreme ones. I have on numerous occasions ended the fight before it even started using my elbow attacks. It's extremely effective. You literally effortlessly knock people out if you remain calm and focused.

6 days? that would have been awesome if it was same with the trainer I mentioned as well.. unfortunately he only does 3 days a week. However, if I decide to give up lifting for a while I'll do Muay Thai as well along with Krav Maga. Thanks for answering bro!

Good luck bro. I'm in the same boat. after giving up muay thai I put on 20 kilograms. not pounds, kilograms. I love the feeling of benching 120 kilograms with ease when men much older than me can't even 1rm 60 kilograms, but When I think about it, It's much more beneficial when you have less body fat and lots of agility, not to mention the main part of learning how to fight. I think I'll go back to Muay Thai as well, with a little bit of Krav Maga just to kill my curiosity.

I've actually been thinking about starting Krav Maga. It really interests me. But there's only 1 trainer in my whole city and I don't know how good he is. But now that you mentioned it, I wanted to check it out but never really found time for it. I'll check it out. I've been doing muay thai for 1 years somewhere like 2 years ago and despite having nowhere near attractive physique then (I was Skinny with literally no muscle but had no abs either), I felt in best shape ever in terms of functionali…

Fuck... gynecomastia which I got in my early teens when I was obese in a very bizarre way stays with me to this very moment. I lost shit ton of weight, put on muscle instead of fat. I'm 6.3 ft tall, with huge arms and broad shoulders, yet my gyno is still there. It's not really bad, but nipples are fucking up my physique. I subconsciously fucked up my posture over the years to hide it, and now I keep forgetting to straighten my back up.

1.) I know.knowing theory is good but it is meaningless without practice. I have learned that after studying RSD stuff. 2.)none of my friends have the capability to/would be willing to comprehend what is being dealt with here. I live in a country which I believe is one of the most(if not the most) socially conditioned countries in world, so such things are totally out of their reality. 3.)Thanks for the advice. Watching RSD-s Blueprint Decoded" gave me a deep understanding of how women's minds w…

after reading this : http://therationalmale.com/2012/09/10/men-in-love/ sad would be more suiting than angry, but truth is what it is. I have always believed that men could love women much more than women ever could love men, that men were the romantic ones, not women. and after reading this, I believe in it even more.
