Obviously. No one is obligated to date anyone they don't want to date. Why do men think that the cosmos cares more about their failure to develop character and maturity more than the innocent children dying in wars and famines?

You're right and that's why more and more women are realizing what's happening and checking out. It speaks of a deeper societal rot where everyone lately, including men, have been alienated, isolated, and emotionally starved into becoming functionally narcissists. Past generations of men may have been emotionally stunted, but they had courage and a sense of duty and still would have died for their wife and children, even if they weren't capable of showing affection to them. And until recent hist…

Notice how the concept of consent is completely absent here. That right there pretty much explains the why of it. There are far more pressing matters in the world than too many males trying to procreate, such as there being too many children forced into existence because of horny men, just for the kids to die from poverty or even genocide, or for the dad to abandon it and the mom. If society doesn't give a fuck about that, why should it give a fuck about the most genetically unfit male specimens…

You will never accomplish that under capitalism. It is too profitable to commodify human connections.

Men already have the freedom to abstain from sexual relationships with women. If it is such a problem, go volcel.

We don't define misogyny as online women getting their ego bruised. Misogyny is about systemic disenfranchisement of women and violence against them chiefly perpetuated by "men" who promised to love and protect them. The fact that so many men equate injuries to their fragile ego to actual real world harm that marginalized groups face is why this world is so fucked up in the first place. The actual issues we men face are caused by the same patriarchy and capitalism that hurts everyone but the nep…

I agree, and likewise I would discourage men from settling for women who cannot empathize with them (been there, done that).

The problem with dating apps is the male to female ratio. And these days, men are not competing against other men so much as against peace, solitude, and freedom from emotionally immature abusive partners. Dating apps are also designed by capitalists looking to make a profit off of the social problems they created. If people understood how horrific this world really is they would not think so much about relationships and dating.

It will work as long as men who think their lack of sex is the center of the universe keep bringing it up on every post on the internet. It's called the Streisand effect. And I'm pretty sure the goal of their movement is to withhold sex from the "normal" men who do get laid until these men start holding rapists and misogynists accountable instead of electing them. The assertion that only a tiny percentage of men have access to women at all is spurious. In the past, similar movements led by women…

You're right and that's an example of the cultural plague of patriarchy. More men have to realize that while yeah, patriarchy hurts a lot of women, the ones who suffer most as a result are the majority of normal men, so they should fight to abolish it, which can be as simple as rejecting outdated gender stereotypes.

I kinda agree except I think it's largely biological and a lot of men (and some women) are suffering because they're trying to force themselves to be something they're not. People might be happier if they just deconstruct all the indoctrination from birth and discover their true selves, which may include being submissive, or it may be something different. But it's even harder for men due to societal bullying and trying to shove everyone into an inauthentic role

It will but that just goes back to the deterioration of late stage capitalism more than anything. There are still too many good men who would give their life or take any life to defend their wives and daughters from such morally decayed men. And the motivation of such higher values like love and family is ultimately stronger than the impulsivity of selfish entitled barbarians so in the end I think things will be OK on a broader scale.

What are they gonna do, take women by force? What if such women resist at all costs? Let these entitled "men" rule over ashes instead of submitting to their dehumanization and tyranny. Their side will ultimately lose so they should focus on learning healthy coping mechanisms if they can't respect boundaries.

Technically true, but at the same time civilized society has a right to defend itself from anyone who thinks morality is purely transactional or who refuses to treat others with the same respect they demand from everyone else.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/24 01:32 PM

I agree that it may impact social development in some cases like that, but what is missed is that faking niceness while still resenting the opposite gender isn't gonna work either and even if they stop watching porn they'll still need to do more psychiatric work to improve. And truly being a good person isn't motivated by rewards either.

Unless the technology modifies the man's DNA, it's just perpetuating the same cycle of generational trauma that plagues the entire world (not that such technology would work anyway; the most desirable potential mates can sniff out inauthentic suitors no matter what technology they use to mask)

The painful reality is that the material universe does not give a shit about the emotional or physical needs of men or any living thing. The other painful reality is that women can smell desperation no matter how much the man masks and are thus turned off. No one has any solution to this problem but the most logical course of action is work to discover a way to remove emotional and physical needs that can never be fulfilled. Work, cope, and die in debt is the lot of humanity since the dawn of ti…

Men should also just let relationships develop naturally and in accordance with the wishes of both themselves and their consenting partner(s) instead of trying to live a LARP invented by questionably funded far-right influencers in defiance of actual reality and how human interaction is supposed to work. And if it doesn't work out, develop the emotional maturity and life wisdom to handle things gracefully as a responsible citizen of a vast cosmos, not acting out as a toddler denied ice cream.

Er...there are 7 billion people on this planet so heterosexuality itself is just fine unless one is a racist who thinks one nation is better than another based on arbitrary standards only relevant to said nation. I'm telling y'all, this is the end result of late stage capitalism. A culture that treats human beings as commodities, mere objects to be used and discarded, is doomed. The only hope is to find the God who lives in all of us, be reborn as His child, and be liberated from the ego-thirst …

I think most people in and outside this sub may be victims of some sort of narcissistic abuse, often by adults in their formative years, and this has completely warped their ability to comprehend others as persons rather than property. A lot of this abuse is reinforced by organized religion and the cult of Western individualism, greed, and patriarchy.

But the core problem is still the feeling of loneliness or a need for validation. Would it not make more sense to attack the issue as an internal mental or emotional problem instead of expecting the other gender to do anything different? All the money tied up by tyrants could be redirected to scientific research that can eventually undo whatever caused the need for romantic or sexual validation, or curing numerous other mental and physical ailments.

Man here. The reason women say those things is out of fear of assault. I know the real truth of these things, and it's not the TRP grift, but something you lack the emotional maturity to handle, given your gravitation toward deceptive ideologies such as TRP, so it would not be helpful for any of us for me to reveal it to you.

I call myself that and a million other things, and have been in and out of mental healthcare systems, but I'm not going to offload that on to innocent people of other genders whom I've never met. Emotional maturity is the responsibility of the individual, and if it's not, why should immature people have power over the rest of society? There's no utopia to return to, we can only move forward and improve the civilization we have so far.

Sorry, it's up to other men to stop the evil behavior of their less mature brethren, and if men fail to collectively hold each other accountable due to their egotism, women have no reason not to prioritize their safety as they have been doing. Don't like the gender wars? Put aside your pride and do the right thing then

It happens but I don't think it's purely evolutionary biology. A lot of it may stem from widespread abuse happening to women behind closed doors, especially in places that outwardly appear to be safe and respectable. There is a feedback loop with the culture that develops around this, amplified by online misinformation, which contributes further to the abuse cycle. But things do not have to be this way and they won't be this way forever.

I have no idea how much of this view is true without seeing statistics and such. But if men believe this is true, it is their duty to overcome their desires and be volcel, so as not to incentivize any women making such decisions. And if this were true, it would create an even worse birth rate crisis when more men chose to do this, but this may be the best way to stop generational trauma on a large scale until society can abide by a higher ethic in romance and mating

To add to the side of OP, people think it's evolutionary biology making them feel lonely and seek validation from the genders they are attracted to when it is cultural brainwashing from an early age. Evolutionary biology just drives the physical mating urge. It is possible to break out of this toxic mind control cycle; I think I know how now if anyone is interested.

I would agree only inasmuch as they refuse to mature during their lifetime (it happens). But I would say the same for women, because either gender who manipulates their way into a relationship often builds a broken home of traumatized children

I'm not sure if this would change your view, but the way I am looking at it, it would appear that there are many damaged men just as there are many damaged women. Anecdotally the theoretical idealized form of relationships is proven to exist, so while not the norm, it seems that there is a widespread generational trauma that both men and women have to break out of before they can like "good" members of the opposite sex.

The only response I can think of would be, while mosques are indeed sex segregated, there are Muslim dating apps which might offer a different experience than secular dating apps in the first bullet point. Especially when you consider that Islam is a global religion that spans more cultures than just the West. Ultimately, the debate is whether such "privilege" is innate or if there are things men can do to gain or lose that privilege. There is at least some percentage of the underprivileged men …

An updated male delusion calculator would be like, "Your only criteria is someone who will love you specifically for who you are. 0% of the population match this criteria"

I agree, but what exactly is the corporate media's motivation for demonizing autists, as opposed to other marginalized groups such as schizophrenics? Could it be an attempt by neurotypical abusers who own these outlets to divert attention away from what they do to their wives and daughters behind closed doors?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/23 03:07 AM

Upvote for visibility not because I agree. But as others have stated, not comparable to food, because food is not a person. You see the rules of the physical universe, need food for energy to live, but here your question is like a glimpse "behind the veil" where you peak into the personality-level of the universe, and because desperation for a relationship involves other persons there is a departure from the predictable ruleset of the material/energy aspects of reality.

I'm not convinced that is the only issue to consider here. What if they are afraid of other side effects besides loss of libido, or they tried it and it didn't work? Some people you've described actually have asked various internet forums how to lower not just their libido, but their need for emotional validation from the opposite sex. I'm not 100% sure how that can be done but I think it involves years of therapy or something. It also helps to have a healthier worldview.

I have to admit I would not exist but my dad would not be a virgin. To look at it from an other-than-redpill point of view, we gotta admit that many marriages of the past were caused by lack of economic security for women. These days women are allowed to work and don't necessarily need a husband to provide all funds. But the redpill view is still correct in that these changing socioeconomic conditions have affected dating competition to some degree in such a way that favors the women's choosing.…
