If he was in a more wealthy neighborhood, black or white, this would be extremely less likely to happen. If he was in a low income white neighborhood, the cop would probably also be white, but I still think the chances aren't that much lower. My case in point is that yes, cops are definitely more likely to do stuff like this if the person is black, but that goes for most crimes. He is a black person in a lower income area. If a cop went to a hick neighborhood the same thing might happen to a white guy. I definitely agree that the cop acted on stereotypes and not proof. Stereotypes TEND to be true, that is why they are stereotypes, but it is completely wrong to act on them, especially when proof points the other way.
