I forgot to add ‘if there’s someone to blame in the divorce’ Even if it’s only short term, no one should be left hard up because the person they promised their life to didn’t reciprocate That said marriage has become increasingly meaningless to most people, seen several posts ‘oh I divorced my partner of 8 months 6 months ago how can I make the paperwork go through quickly so I can get married again) My girlfriend and I have already agreed when we get the house to keep a running total or who’s c…

That’s fair Spousal maintenance needs to exist but should be limited to very particularly circumstances and only when one party couldn’t live without it, particularly when sacrifices have been made

I agree in principle but at the same time there needs to be some level of protection for potentially vulnerable parties, regardless of gender. I’m not talking to this extent but at least to be able to survive in a relationship where something had to be given up to make it work. On this occasion I fully agree but sweeping generalisations are never helpful

1% is still nearly 20k per month, more than enough for any sane person to live on many times over

This is an unhealthy statement I keep seeing here - 'Feminists deal in absolutes' is in itself an absolute. Not all do, as this video clearly shows. There are members of those groups that act as you've said, in the way that there are members of the other sides that act against their interests.

I’m not more compassionate to anyone, when a woman gets 80% or a mans wealth in a divorce, sounds like you’d be the first to complain and rightly so. Celebrating when it happens the other way is not equality, equality would be not happening at all for either part

The precedent we should be setting across the board is a fair 50% give or take. This toxic attitude of they've fucked over, let's fuck them back is exactly what everyone here accuses toxic femenists / radical sjws of. Be better.

I don’t know or care about the ins and outs of their (or anyone else’s relationship) I think what most people are ‘upset’ about is everyone laughing at him for being cheated on, but had it been the other way round it would be an entirely different reaction

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
