Exactly. The idea of alpha and beta men only exists to sell a product. It's designed to make men doubt themselves and feel lesser in order to sell a product that'll make them an "alpha male", whether that product be clothing or a course

Uhhhh, way of househusband is just a simple story about a very masculine dude taking care of his wife. There's no attack on masculinity, the only thing it's doing is subverting gender roles, which really isn't problematic in the slightest. While the strong independent wahman, is out there living the life of a man This to me shows that your issue isn't with masculinity being undermined, it's with gender role norms slowly shifting away from the status quo. You're very heavily implying that the lif…

I think this entirely depends on your interpretation. I have always viewed it more as blurring the lines between femininity and masculinity, and I see nothing wrong with that. There's nothing wrong with a man, including very masculine men, engaging in activities or hobbies viewed as feminine. Your interpretation is a bit dangerous, since it creates a victim where there doesn't need to be one.

Any kind of hunting or foraging isn't really for me, but I'll take a look at it! At the moment I'm just happy if a recipe I Google turns out

You're completely right, don't listen to that guy. Women aren't tools for sex, they're people. The only thing you need to do to stick to MGTOW philosophy in a relationship is to make sure you aren't constantly sacrificing for her. Make sure you make compromises. Communication is important. Good luck man!

That's ridiculously toxic, man. That has nothing to do with MGTOW and everything to do with being an asshole, and borderline on sexual harassment

Of course you can! MGTOW is about subverting the societal expectation that you need a partner to be happy. MGTOW is about rejecting the idea that your self-worth is tied to partnership. If you meet someone and are happy with them, you're still going your own way. This sub is about taking control of your life, and not letting society's expectations do that for you.

That's so true. We need to listen to the experiences of women, just as we need to listen to the experiences of men. Sympathy and empathy for the plights of others is important for our own personal growths. I agree. It's particularly hard to do that in the MGTOW community, since I see a lot of men who end up hurt by one particular person(or two) and decide, "All women are bad" and it hurts the integrity of the MGTOW community. I can be sympathetic for someone hurt, but that sympathy dissappears w…

I have got to stay off of this sub. You're the only person I've seen use sociological theories as arguments rather than presenting blanket statements as truth. I don't entirely agree with you about third wave feminism. Third wave feminism is vague at best. I think this is because it's driven by postmodern thought. I don't think postmodernism is bad per se, but rather that it can be dangerous. Since third wave feminism is largely argued through narratives rather than fact. With that said, I don't…

That's generalization, and I'm getting victim complex from this. Isn't the whole point of MGTOW to break away from the societal narrative that you need a partner to be happy? By posting this you're saying that you aren't here for yourself, you're here because women have made you bitter.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
