I suppose it depends on where you live (ie. City, small town). I'll never rush into something for the sake of not being alone. I much prefer my own company over that of someone I'm secretly having second thoughts about, which eventually leads to complacency and then, ultimately, resentment. I've had to re-learn this lesson at least twice now.
