Wow that sounds really cool! Sometimes it reminded me of those old movies when the guy is broke, they are afraid to let the woman they are courting know and they would rope in their buddies to help them with the situation. Like if they don’t have their wallets at dinner, they would pretend they do in front of their date and secretly get help from their friends. How times have changed!

He could walk, cycle, skateboard, rollerblade… Options are there. And why would a stranger pay for his gas?!

He actually wished your friend took a video of him but contrary to his hallucination, your friend didn’t and he was disappointed when he couldn’t find anything. He’s a youtuber, y’know? Who wouldn’t want to take a video of him!?

Why do people always think that women do makeup for someone else other than making themselves feel good? And coming from a woman even. 🥲

yes! I was so afraid of alighting from the bus because I didn’t know if he was still on the bus. Still gives me the creep 🥲

Jealousy and throwing you under the bus and painting you in bad light in front of other friends - which is type 1 that you’ve mentioned. I’d such a friend in uni and I’m glad she isn’t my friend anymore.

Oh no, I’m sorry to hear you’ve to face that. Could you call the cops on him? I really hate such attention. Just today I was on the bus and a middle age guy sitting opposite just kept looking at me. And he was shaking his keys to get my attention and every single time I look at him, he was looking at me, which was totally disgusting. I had to move to the upper deck to avoid him but I’m really angry that I’d to MOVE when he’s the one at fault.

Could you also share with me? Thanks! Some people just seems like they don’t have social media and just linkedin profile, so it’s kind of impossible to find anything

Who’s Leo and why people fight over him? And it also shows people perception changes with age and it’s important to be mindful of age gaps. At 10 someone might be an eye candy, but at 20 or so, someone could be creepy.

Also maybe being subjected to the rudeness and weirdness of matches. But anyway, a high value male friend of mine who broke up with his gf used dating app for a short while (few weeks). And he stopped because he told me it wasn’t a good way to meet people whom you want to be in a relationship with because it lacked a certain organic and face-face interaction (can’t see body language etc). So that got me thinking because this HV male friend of mine didn’t have a scarcity mindset, and at the same …

Who else also find this emoji 😜 annoying? I don’t know but it feels like they are trying to undermine their inappropriate and replacing “just kidding” with that emoji.

Very Sad but true. That’s why I always wear a fashion ring so if necessary, I will just say I’m attached and wave the ring casually. Once I was at a club and just wanted to be alone from the dance floor and a guy couldn’t stop hitting me up, till a male friend came over and asked what’s up, and the guy left.

Oh that’s creepy especially for the 2nd driver you were saying. Practically he knew where you were living and might be able to stalk you if he could. I really hated moments when I was in situation that I didn’t want to be in (over invasive driver) but couldn’t not be in (in a taxi/uber because I don’t have a car or can’t drive).

The worst for me is when I was in a taxi and communicating to a taxi driver. Throughout the journey, he was asking questions like if I’m single (luckily I’d a fashion ring and just used that to indicate I wasn’t), then went on to ask if women in my country would like taxi drivers like him and that he has a graduate degree from his country (immigrant) but couldn’t find work in the country he was in. No way I could escape because I couldn’t get him to stop the car in the middle of the highway. 🥺

I don’t know but if one person is doing a certain action to him, it might be that person. But if most people are doing that to him, maybe he should do some self reflection?

That’s super weird, I don’t know what’s the rationale behind such actions but using things like doctors appointment is just weird. Shows how concerned he is about his own health.

I’m sorry to hear this and thank you for sharing and opening up your story to us. Was there any change of behaviour in the past two to three months that you might have noticed on hindsight? Maybe this might help us here to vet things better.

Maybe ask them “why are you not?” and look at them extremely concerned and mortified. But jokes aside… Usually I tend not to want to reveal much to people I don’t care much about, like colleagues. So I will give ambiguous answers which is up for them to think whether Im single or not. Like, “oh Im seeing some people”, when you talk about things I did over the weekends with my mum, I would go “Oh, we went here and here”, without specifying who are “we”, so it’s up to them to assume. The reason wh…

Well, based on his lack of plan for his future, it seems like the mental age gap aren’t so huge. But like what would a 18 year old see in a 45…?!

I’ve a colleague who had a gf for 10 over years (no age gap). And he ditched her for a 19years old intern he met at work. And he is actually a really lvm in general, not considering dating.

Ah yes, happens to me as well. Or when I just got out of a super cold place. But wearing glasses/contact lens because you want to is different from wearing contact lens for dates cos you think you look more dressed up (which was past pick me’s intention). 🤡

This happened to me and I never knew this was a technique to make you feel like you’re in a relationship. And on hindsight, you’re right! Should be more critical from now on.

If it happens to him all the time, maybe he’s just undesirable to other women? 🤣

And because of my degree, my dailies are all “custom-made”, so they cost way more than the dailies one finds in store. But since FDS, I’m enlightened - i don’t care whether I wear contacts or not anymore. Just gonna go for whatever I feel like that day.

And importantly, he was the one who called for the uber. So it would be really annoying if she had to pay for herself, because she might be going for other options like the bus or something.

I’m just curious if the first guy paid for the uber? I wouldn’t want to spend any money on uber for a date that didn’t happen. Once I put on my daily contact lens for a date, only to have the guy cancelled on me. What a waste of time and money.

This article made me really sick right from the beginning. Stepfather turned husband – what?! What’s wrong with the world?

How do you actually do that? I mean, at the end of the meal, do you just smile and not mention the bill at all, and then say “thank you” when he went to pay (which I read earlier in another post) even if he didn’t mention he would pay for everything?

Totally. You might regret not going after your dreams because of a guy when you break up. So chasing dreams is always more concrete than giving it up because of someone else, especially a guy whom you’ve lived fine without all along.

I guess plus size dating is just dating like any size. Know your worth and don’t settle for less regardless of size.

Oh my, can totally relate this. I don’t think it’s appropriate to do this to anyone in general, so especially not so to someone you’re trying to date. I once turned up for a date and then couldn’t get in touch with the guy. 1 hour later he apologised and said he was in a meeting and got away. Then I said we can reschedule, and he never really did it both to text conversations. So I started to just ignore, and funny how he’s always popping every few weeks saying things like “Hi” and “how are you”…

I totally second this from my observation. Case 1: A friend of mine who’s dating her colleague. The guy has a public account and mainly posts landscape photos and follows accounts of similar type. Despite that, he still pinned a story of his travel with my friend in one of his instagram highlights. I think one doesn’t have to post a lot of couple pictures, but there should be a hint on social media that he’s taken. Case 2: A colleague of mine who doesn’t have pictures of his current gf at all. H…

Hello! I’ve read in the thread that we shouldn’t be texting guys too much but to use it mainly to set up dates etc. But, what about texting during sich quarantine time? Should anything change?

Hello! So this random topic came to my mind. Does certain communication app actually suggest that a man might be a LVM? There are a lot of communication apps such as Whatsapp, Telegram, Discord, Team Speak, Skype, Snapchat etc... Does the preferred app choice actually MIGHT suggest that a man might be a LVM? Personally, I avoid guys who use WeChat as I’ve heard many people, especially guys, who used it (if they are living outside of China) are mainly using it to get in touch with Chinese ladies …
