The quest for the O-Face sucks you into marriage. 25 yrs & 2 kids later I can't afford to lose 1/2 my stuff just to get to play video games all the time, so I take what I can get.

Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VII), which prohibits employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Your company policy violates that by discriminating against me based on my gender unless there is a rule prohibiting all dresses. Not sure why I care though I went to work today in cut off shorts and a t-shirt. Boulder kinda rolls that way.

but that 'right' ends whenever you enter a professional atmosphere So if it is ok for females to wear a dress in the workplace then it is also ok for a male to wear the same clothing in the workplace. Anything else is discrimination based on gender and is unlawful in the USA. I would be the asshole that would show up to work wearing a kilt if my company started that stupid rule. My performance is not based on how I dress (non customer facing job) but how well I do my job.

Back in the early 1990's I worked as a contractor for IBM. A memo on the dress code was circulated and included a statement that said "Shorts may only be worn with nylons". Next day I showed up wearing shorts and nylons (I now understand why girls shave their legs that shit hurt). Things didn't go over very well with the boss and I was escorted out of the building to go change and was fired a week later for some unrelated event(they were looking for a reason to fire me).
