Yes because I’ve been on the opposite end where first date goes well, but it’s not enough for me to see her a second time. I just don’t reach out. So silence in my experience, has always been an answer. I can understand taking a day to respond, but if 2-3 days go by. I feel there’s nothing really there. My mentality has always been it’s either a fuck yes or bust. The relationships I’ve had that lasted were built on constant communication and never taking more than 24 hours to get back to one ano…

My ego would only let me try twice if I haven’t been on the first date yet. After the first date, no chance I’m double texting

This seems like a more modern problem, with no solution. There is no right or wrong answer. Damned if you, and damned if you don’t. There’s endless possibilities that’ll make you go crazy and feel like you’re trying to solve the da Vinci code of where things went wrong or tapered off. I agree with most of the advice on here that it’s probably best to put your focus elsewhere. When they do come back you’ll probably not even be interested in them anymore.

Life’s too short to wonder what if. Crazier things have happened. Rip the question and detach yourself from the outcome. The odds are already stacked against you since you live across the country. You really have nothing to lose if she says no. The relationship thing is kind of crazy to think of this early. If you go on the cruise with her, have fun and don’t put pressure on anything. Just see where it goes.
