I had it muted but I knew they weren't speaking English when they started hitting her.

Weirdly misleading, presumptuous title, along with the comments. She was actually totally cool with it. She ended up defending them in the end. I love this band, but it was pretty shitty of them regardless.

The Story So Far Apparently, the kick wasn't that hard and she laughed it off. Looking at it again, it does look a bit more like a "rough foot push" rather than an actual kick.

Alright, sell me on this. I can't think of many ways in which women have it better. Outside of some BS double standards -- which happen on both ends anyway.

Yeah, for sure. Sorry for the inconvenience.

"The more love you give the more you get back" There's some truth to that, but it can backfire. Consider how it feels to hear "I love you" from a very warm and affectionate family member or old friend, and compare that feeling to how it feels to hear "I love you" from a much colder and more distant family member or old friend. Doesn't it just somehow mean more in the second case?

Yeah, I noticed that after I posted. I'm on mobile so it's a bit harder to find on my end. Feel free to delete this.

Oh no, I totally understand all of that, and I'm in agreement. The "stunned" thing is something new I'm experimenting with because I see how well it works with a friend of mine, who's about as much of an extrovert as it gets and has plenty of success. I'm a fine conversationalist, I just never needed to bother with flirting, and starting this way is more about opening myself up to flirting than anything else. The questions are to feel out how much of a conversationalist she is. I've learned ther…

I'm not just saying this to save face, but I never did this until I saw how well it worked for my friend. It's something new I'm trying out.

Dude, this is great. No, I've never heard of this before, but this is definitely helping. I'll update this board with any progress.

It totally isn't, and I'm glad I asked for help. It's giving me plenty of ideas, and it's helping me get over this hiccup in other areas.

I absolutely agree. However, I usually just skip girls like her. And I want to know what to do in situations like these. If I can handle her, I can handle anyone who pulls this shit.

I could do that. I'll try that. I imagine she'll just respond with a boring "lol" and that's it, though. She's never seen my face, she just asked to chat with anyone and that's all.

I totally fucking plan to, but I always bail on girls like this and I'd like to see an alternative.

What'd you play that made you out to be so weird?

I totally agree, but this is all more of a given. It's a fantastic footnote, but this sounds less like advice and more like you're just not getting with the spirit of the post. There has to be a point where a guy says something and your inner Prof. Oak says "there's a time and place for everything, but not here."

As straight as I am, I'd still fuck George Clooney into the Nth dimension.

That's all well and good, but how do you first open the conversation? Go is always too boring.

I'll have a better answer sometime during the week (if I remember), but it helps to really pay attention to how you're thinking and behaving when you're in this "zone." What's more is the fact that your friends get your jokes and know what your tone and melody means during your speech. Find out what your qualities are and what attracts people during first impressions, and research those things. For example, humor always helps, so research the psychology of humor. Being agreeable without being a …

All I can say is, I get the exact same way. I think it has to do with the fact that you aren't trying to impress your friends. If you meet somebody for the first time, they don't know all your social cues. If you have your friends with you, not only is your brain warmed up for conversation (you were likely just talking to your friends), but you also have them to fill in the awkward silence. That's my guess.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
