It's not worth it even when you're not, lol! You're not missing anything. Most of these women aren't going to add anything to your life. In fact you'll likely end up worse off if you do snag one of them.

I feel for you man. Sounds potentially like a trauma bond. Might do some reading up on that, see if you think it resonates with your situation.

I'd be curious about your advice on this one. My ex wife was diagnosed with BPD. We're in court now because she has successfully turned my oldest son against me and is also now trying to move out of state with the. Our court appointed advisor is being dismissive of her diagnosis. Saying that was years ago so it isn't relevant now. She tried to conflate it with HPD and downplay it. She doesn't think it affects her parenting at all. I don't know how it is elsewhere but I'm in AZ, have 50/50 custody (that's the default now finally) and I still pay child support.

I have my suspicions too. Seems embellished for sure. Given my own experience I also can't tell how far off the mark it might actually be.

What state are you in out of curiosity? I'm in AZ and have my ex with BPD taking me to court again and stories like this scare the shit out of me.

I'll presume your question is genuine and answer it honestly from my perspective. For me it's first and foremost the wording of the phrase. It goes right along with the idea that because I am a white, cis male I am an oppressor and my feelings on these subjects don't matter. I can't object to the name because I'm part of the problem. Here is a real conversation I had about the Gillette ad. Her: You're part of the oppressors. You can't see that though because you don't know what it's like to not …
