What do you do while he’s working in house projects?Make extra cookies for me! 😆 | /r/RedPillWives | 26/07/25 03:50 PM
What is ONE thing you did in 2024 that improved your marriage? Can be anything, bi or small!Very wise. | /r/RedPillWives | 10/01/25 01:32 AM
Husband mad at me and contractorAfter re-reading my last comment to you and then re-reading your last comment, there's nothing left to say here. You're advocating for a person who acts out to the point of police involvement. You're an extremist. Thanks but no thanks. | /r/RedPillWives | 10/06/24 04:01 PM
Husband mad at me and contractorNo children, and we just celebrated two years married in late May. | /r/RedPillWives | 10/06/24 03:56 PM
Husband mad at me and contractorI haven't told my father nor friends about this. I couldn't imagine right now to tell them this because it's embarrassing that I put up with it. I had to say something in that moment while he was starting to insult the contractor because I know my husband. It was going to graduate to threats. This man's anger with people has already caused the police to come here. I didn't call to be clear. He puts us at risk when he can't handle disputes without resorting to insults and threats. Recently he had… | /r/RedPillWives | 10/06/24 08:02 AM
Husband mad at me and contractorThank you so much for your words. I guess I could go stay somewhere but it'd have to be a hotel. More spending on top of the pool costs. And we have a Rottie that I guess I'd leave here with him? Or he'll try to use that against me and threaten to let him loose, not care for him, or drop him at animal control. I really wouldn't be surprised if he threatened one of these things. And it's hard to find places that allow this breed/size dog. We've been staying on opposite ends of the house. EDIT I d… | /r/RedPillWives | 09/06/24 05:28 PM
Husband mad at me and contractorYes, I'll take any advice or help I can get... Thank you. | /r/RedPillWives | 09/06/24 05:23 PM
Husband mad at me and contractorI don't typically interrupt him but I could hear the escalation coming. He was starting with insults and would soon start with vague threats. I felt like I had to say something as he's putting me and this home at risk. And he gets very angry very quickly. | /r/RedPillWives | 09/06/24 05:11 PM
Husband mad at me and contractorHe controls even though I make the money. I wanted him to go stay with a friend and he literally said he'll go when he feels like it and I'll do nothing about it. And he's right, I can't just kick him out. How do I set boundaries short of filing for divorce? He sees it all as a battle for control when he is angry. | /r/RedPillWives | 09/06/24 05:09 PM
Husband mad at me and contractorI wish whoever downvoted me would explain why. | /r/RedPillWives | 09/06/24 04:04 PM
Husband mad at me and contractorNo TBI. Some trauma is from childhood. Some is also from adulthood when a dude jumped him and tried to take his gun but he got to it first. Then all the judgement that came from that when some people blamed him for a situation he couldn't help. I get it's a lot to handle. I even get being angry. But yeah, turning it towards the one person that's always been there for you is getting unbearable. | /r/RedPillWives | 09/06/24 03:13 PM
Husband mad at me and contractorI even asked him to go stay with a friend and he said he'll leave when he wants and that I'll do nothing about it bc I have no backbone... And that's why I let my ex and him treat me badly. I make all the money and he desperately wants to feel like he has power over me even though I've never treated him unfairly or unkind. I treat him just as a man bringing in money. He cares for the house and cooks (not now that he's pissed). | /r/RedPillWives | 09/06/24 01:28 PM
Husband mad at me and contractorHe has PTSD. He has gone through years of talk therapy. And he has even done some EMDR. But he has never told any therapist everything about his past. So it's almost pointless. This is part of his cycle. Eventually his anger will subside and he will either come to me and be playful to try to just gloss it over or he will apologize to get past it. | /r/RedPillWives | 09/06/24 01:25 PM
What defines controlling behavior?Yeah I think you're spot on regarding number 2. I do wish he liked more foods and liked more healthy foods. Thank you for your thoughts! | /r/RedPillWives | 14/05/24 07:49 PM
What defines controlling behavior?I get what you're saying but I said nothing about weight. He doesn't need to lose weight. | /r/RedPillWives | 14/05/24 07:47 PM
What defines controlling behavior?I literally laughed out loud at your poisonous comment. My husband will purposely be silly to make me laugh and say things like, "hell no I didn't trust artichokes. The danger is in the name! Choke? Nahhhh!" 😂 But yes, as soon as I learned it bothers him, I stopped but did ask that clarifying question. And to be fair, he does sometimes try things but not often. His grandmother raised him and spoiled him by cooking meals for the family and then a special meal for him. lol | /r/RedPillWives | 14/05/24 01:44 PM
