defends sexual violence against women as being a slippery slope that could hurt men potentially

You're all coping so fucking hard, it's really hard to not think you all see yourselves as criminals who target women

I don't know why do you think fascism might be relevant to violence targeting women?

Why are you bringing fascism into this? What we have here is deranged buzzword salad and no coherent argument. Are you a leftist?

Because you want to prove to me that your point is valid ? otherwise, I really didn't think it was. You know why would you even comment ? I don't think this will go onto persecute men, I think it will persecute fascists who want to hurt women - and that's good. You think that someone will be called misogynist who isn't and they will be tortured for it. I don't think that's how it works, but the uk government has proven me wrong before so many times. I just really doubt it would work liike that a…

I'm not acting like that but that's just irrelevant, I care about the government pursuing right wing extremism and violence, because right wingers are violet psychos who shouldn't have a platform. If prosecuting misogyny online does that, than it would have an extreme effect and therefore it's good. Many vaccines help the vast majority of people for instance, but there's rare complications, we shouldn't stop safety and welfare to the vast majority of it hurts a few.

You aren't even really a leftist Pot meet kettle you strongly believe in hierarchies with white women at the top. Lol no I just don't like sex predators

You sound pathetic nobody is advocating for criminal psychopath repeat offenders. Everyone did this. because that's what we're talking about in the post - we're not talking about men. Men don't do that. Shouldn't do that. You all framed this concern over sex criminals being prosecuted as a problem. Easy solution from a leftist man to another, don't be misogynistic - why would you be misogynistic hmm? Why would you be a repeat offender with crimes against women. Couldn't be me.

And yet, men are expected to "care" about other men doing something bad.. What do you mean, that's what you're doing. Why should I care about extremist right wingers being targeted for doing hate speech ? Especially as a leftist?

The burden of proof is on you to show that it will happen as you describe.

Nobody is. People here are worried that the label of misogynist will be overapplied. Everyone here has experienced being called a misogynist for treating women equally at one time or another - studies have shown that many women perceive being treated fairly alongside men as misogyny. Again the funny thing is that was my experience. I was called misogynistic for disagreeing with a feminist. It's just hard to realize that women are heavily suuuuper heavily, disproportionately victimized and harmed…

You're delusionally coping about psycho men who killed people because they couldn't get sex and hated women for it
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates21/08/24 04:35 AM

Im sure it could. I mean I haven't ruled it out, I just never saw anyone necessarily make that point and everyone instead was mad that women could use this against them if they were like idk misogynistic online I guess ? why would they be afraid about that?

Your point is what? why should these be apart of mens interests?

I don't care about that kind of resentment politic, someone else doing something bad doesn't mean I can do bad. That's not how that works. I don't care if women and feminists are bad. This is not a leftist sub and it's just hilarious you all act like you care about men

I don't know how I've been misandrist, like at all. I've only criticized violent criminals who victimize women. That literally could include women. I very heavily asserted that men are not predators, and should not be equated to misogyny.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates21/08/24 04:16 AM

I don't think that's gonna be the case, it's pretty easy to spot a misogynist doing what they're doing. If a guy is posting online about how he peppersprayed a bunch of women , it's pretty fair to suspect he's doing misogynist violence and should be investigated. The funny thing about all of this is that the same people this will affect, will have probably already been repeat offenders and had already had charges applied surrounding harassment that also happened alongside this type of harassment…

It will Target men who engage in terrorism okay? Do you engage in terrorism? Why are you so mad about this it really feels like it's actually a relevant law and should be enacted all solely because of what you're saying here. Yes right wing extremism, the thing that kills people in terrorism, shouldn't be accepted or defended. The people who specifically want left wing people dead - you're siding with them on this ? And the terrorists, and abusers of women? And how is that a slippery slope to ha…

This is about prosecuting, chauvinism and right wing sympathy to violent groups that target women. It's very surgical in comparison to the deluth model, it literally only affects perpetrators who are caught. The Duluth model has harmed THOUSANDS of innocent men or men who were the actual victims of domestic violence because of the assumption that in domestic violence situations involving a man and a woman the man is ALWAYS the "Aggressor / Abuser" while it also assumes that the woman is ALWAYS t…

You started the "Whataboutism" when you cherry picked a list of men who have done some horrible things.. Do you really think that I just picked a random list for no reason? That I'm just talking about Killers who are men or something? No they specifically all began as extremists through misogyny online. They are very widely known for being specifically violent to women ... To think someone would defend a mass murderer and a terrorist because of the people he killed wasn't consistently women.....

So you're going to cherry pick the Bad Men who support your argument, but completely ignore the doctors, first responders, firefighters, EMTs, Surgeons etc who all saved people in the aftermath? ??? He killed more men than women. You guys are not getting the point lol

I'll call out misogyny when I see it, even when I know my peers that are women won't do the inverse. But I see the slippery slope here. The slippery slope is the argument you're making right now, you're not supposed to mention the fallacy you're using. Men who do crimes will be prosecuted. That's not a bad thing. It won't lead to men being persecuted. Men aren't predators.

This kind of rehabilitation is very easy to implement and address - it's not like you're tortured until you like women and never disagree with women. cmon.

I think you've at least hit on something that nobody else has, it's alarming that nobody else has really argued these points so far to me, kinda a funny thing that everyone immediately identified with the criminals. You're correct that many institutional factors exist that hurt men, I never denied that, in fact i mentioned something like that already. I think that's bad. But this isn't aimed at grey area experiences like those the deluth model is about, where men can become excluded. This is abo…

the potential for false accusations and the erosion of men's rights. So, when they say "they hate you," the "you" refers to men in general perpetrators who posed a risk to women, repeat serious offenders Men?

I want it to be super clear that these misogynists don't care about you as men, they don't care. They hate you too. They see all men as predators, because they are predators. Think about who you're associating with you guys. Misandry is a valid issue, protecting predators does not help us.

Same thing you think about men. The most ironic thing about this is I literally came here with misandry as a grievance issue, I think that feminists and women are very quick to invalidate the strife men can experience, even on an intersectional level, and yeah, they rejected my message and blocked me. While I disagree with them, I just think there are pernicious biases within our institional society that affect men as well as everyone including women and poor people, and men, men who are black, …

I saw the outcomes of this bill were to rehabilitate youth who was engaging with misogyny online - and that's really good, as far as things go. Support, education, and rehabilitation are not persecution. It would be bad if it turned into somethign that forced misogynists to go underground and become even worse - but really I don't see it being anything that hurts men in any way.

It's really not about that to me - abortion rights? No it's totally obviously gamergate fascists who want women as slaves, voicing their anger in this sub that women have rights against clear violence and misogyny --- The post was literally an advocacy on the likes of Elliot Rodger .... like this was not a good take, the person who made it hates women. Another point I noticed, this is a LEFT WING SUB why are there so many angry right wingers HHHHUUUUUUHHHHHHH???????? Obviously they're exploiting…

"Under the proposed plans, the police would be required to “relentlessly pursue” perpetrators who posed a risk to women, using counter-terror-style data analysis and tactics to get repeat serious offenders off the streets, with the aim of increasing women’s safety." i've said it before, i'll say it here again: they hate you first and foremost, they justify that hate post hoc and ad hoc." https://www.reddit.com/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates/comments/1evujh1/misogyny_is_terrorism_so_says_the_misandrists…

Salman Abedi, the Manchester Arena bomber who killed 22 people in an ISIS-affiliated attack, had previously assaulted a female fellow student because he thought her skirt was too short. Elliot Rodger, the “involuntary celibate” who went on a killing spree in California, cited his immense hatred for women as motivation for his attack. Dylann Roof, the white supremacist who killed nine people in Charleston, partially justified his actions through a form of patriarchal control over women. Omar Mate…

Misogyny literally is terrorism and it's a really good thing if its prosecuted and it doesn't hurt men if men who are misogynistic are prosecuted. The government enabling misogyny is the same as the government enabling any other violence.
