We have different ways of looking at things, brother. If you think that the things you own are an extension of yourself, then you will suffer when it is gone. If you view them as they are, nothing more, then it doesn’t matter if you have it or not. It’s simply a title of ownership- it shouldn’t manifest in your mind attachment to the thing itself.

I guess I failed at trying to come up with something here. I apologize. Edit: I’ll give it a crack. You missed the point of my post. You literally focused on your fear of having something that has monetary value. You own the Lamborghini, and you literally freak out and say that it would suck to own it, even if it was in your own imagination? Holy shit dude.

“free from the shackles of society“ No. You’re more a part of it. You are integrated in it. Growing as a man, you realize you make sacrifices around you, and with growth comes with more connection towards others and understanding of human nature. Unless you mean that you feel bound, somehow; which is the exact thinking you need to get out of in the first place.

Look. All men are taught something. Whether it be from other men, society, etc. Ultimately, through life experience, they come into their own, however you want to define that as. Some men will be successful, some won’t. You can try to push ideas and say “this is what works!” but they already have their set of beliefs since childhood and will perceive said ideas based on their own subjective view. Ultimately there is no need to rationalize sexual strategy. Sex happens or it doesn’t. What I’m gett…

It’s all a battle of ideas and it’s gratuitous at this point. He may not hold TRP ideas, but it doesn’t mean he’s being cucked. Sexual strategy is intuitive, not cognitive. You don’t need to be in PUA, Manosphere, TRP or any fucking where else in order to know how to have a relationship or have sex with a woman. If you think that you have to solve a math problem to get to sex you are fucked my friend. This whole feminism vs. men’s rights is fucking retarded. It’s like dumber vs dumber. This post…

The discussion of hypergamy, for example is what stops this subreddit in its tracks. To change it, we’d have to focus more on self-development and less “blunt” aspects, making this subreddit more a self-help for men. There’s already a fuckton of that, and there’s a lot of PC ones out there, so this sure as hell wouldn’t be the first one people go to. I don’t agree with the aggressive undertones and some of the retarded shit I see here, but it’s pretty fucking open to discussion, which is what re…

“In every interaction with another person, there are the undercurrents of danger: I am polite and kind by choice, not by necessity.” Very James Bond undertone here. Glad to see your point but don’t forget the tenderness that you too can be capable of. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ki4UKsI8bms World champion boxers. Yet the tenderness and openness they have shows beautiful brotherly love. Is there still the undertone of violence and domination? Absolutely. “Always be expanding your circle and alw…

Strong opinions you got there. In terms of just getting laid, he can be perceived as wasting his time. However, what’s wrong with spending time with a woman? Point is, you’re not in control as you think you are. For your sake, I’m saying that social calibration is a bitch and you won’t always immediately get what you want. Enjoy the woman’s company for fuck’s sake. You don’t seem to be that good with people.

Nah, you’re looking too closely on supposed “principles” that are to be followed to be successful with women. You wouldn’t know the situation unless you were actually him. It’s like you telling an athlete on TV what to do. Point is it’s his perceptions and experiences, and based on his writing he seems to be self-aware, which leads to great progress. You have a fiery spirit though, which is fucking awesome.

Note: The topics in this response are haphazard as I responded to your essay as I went along. Can you define what you mean by implicit logic? Do you mean that they act with implied logic in terms that they act based on what they are told and taught at a young age and aren’t behaving out of their own self-guidance? I think what you mean on “personal logic” is intuition. As defined by Wikipedia: Intuition is the ability to acquire knowledge without proof, evidence, or conscious reasoning, or witho…

You will always feel that there’s something you should have done, but the fact that you didn’t is actually the better way to go. If you’re averting your gaze out of fear, it will be corrected in time. But based on you continuing the sentence, you are afraid how you look based on your body language. You will learn to calibrate…

How do you define character as? I think that today it is more defined as personality (or rather, a focus on how one is perceived). Personally I view it as something that is built to stand the test of time as it grows, more like frame. I guess I’m focusing on semantics here, but it’s interesting how people view words through time.

Funny. Something that actually focuses on the roots of our reactivity doesn’t get as many upvotes as posts that tickles our emotive responses. Wanted to point out too- that as important as it is to control your thought processes, it is important to note the we are governed by our limbic system and ultimately are not nearly as much in control as we think we are. Sure, we can contemplate why we think the way we do, but how did we get to that contemplation in the first place? It wasn’t a conscious …

I like your point in the latter half of the third paragraph. We want to progress in these grand scale subjects, but ultimately we’re not as unified in material/ideal success as we thought we were. That being said, great things have still been done by teams of people.

Focusing on the fifth and sixth paragraphs: “a mommy approved daycare where everyone and their feelings are safe“ Is this a symptom of the agricultural and industrial revolutions? Point is, that men are the way they are as most are content to obtain just the basic necessities? Looking back on the 20/80 rule, followers of men were accepting of the trickle down of said necessities from their leaders since the dawn of man? And today, since everything is more easily attained (as far as material poss…

I don’t think it has anything to do with looks at all, but rather with how you carry yourself, demeanor and overall body language which you attain through personal growth. I think you’re chalking up looks as a consensus for how you get treated.

Very true. It’s not bad to visualize and explore concepts and ideas in your head, but they must be continually hammered and tested through actual experience to test their validity. Furthermore, experience builds upon these concepts and produces new ones.

First, questions go on asktrp. Second, you’re wasting your time on this one girl. The fact that you even wrote this out shows that you’re still thinking about women to the extent that you need to work on yourself more. If you really want to make this your focus, actually work in a relatively sizeable environment where you’re spending time with both men and women. I don’t know. Why even invest in something that you’re gonna throw your integrity as a man to just to copulate? Edit: What exactly do you mean by “investment” in trp terms? It’s kind of something that you automatically do already, whether you mean to or not, when you’re around a woman. Over time you kind of just learn if your emotional “investment” is proper or not. This was a headache to read. Why do we have to characterize everything as alpha or beta? A man is a man, nothing more. What do you define as commitment? I always see the implication that committing to a woman makes you a beta male. She wanted to be with him, not with you. Why are you so worried about being “nexted”? It’s like you’re showing concern that she didn’t want to be with you by even thinking about this post. Who knows, maybe you need to work on yourself more, and that’s why she didn’t w…

Have you ever had children? What makes you so sure about this? You’re really thinking that having children is not for you but for the woman only, aren’t you? You’ve written as if you’re having children to placate the woman and not to spread your genetic bloodline. Your focus is on YOUR children, it’s simply your woman who cares for them while you provide. If you really think you’re becoming less of a man by caring for your children (in which case you’re implying that you’re doing it for your wom…

Devil’s advocate: Two sentences after the excerpt you cut out, it was said that men who had more moderate ideas of masculinity rather than ones who held the strongest ones were more likely to get preventative health care. Maybe they were pointing out that trying to be too “hard” (tend to be done by younger men who don’t fully understand their capabilities) isn’t helpful long term since you’re choose to block off yourself from experience? I don’t think that TRP ideas per say have some intrinsic, hidden truth underneath. Ultimately, things are simply as they are. However, the ideas can be applied by heavily indoctrinated men, or rather men who do not know themselves well enough to get started on their process of growth. Ultimately, these ideas must be tested to see their truth, and eventually thrown away as you see things for yourself, not because you’re holding on to a certain idea as if it were a religious ideation.

I’ve always thought that controlling your emotions meant to literally control how you feel at any given moment in time. As Tyler from RSD once said, “The most engaged but least attached wins.” I guess it means that what you’re experiencing in terms of sexual relationships doesn’t have to be unfulfilling in order for you to not be attached to it. In other words, you can fully appreciate the moments as they come along simply for what they are and once it’s over, you’re not longing for it.

I like Auvergnat’s description of it better. What we consider as “game” is actually intrinsic, and is more deterministic of who you actually are and not what you do. It’s not really about pressing up, down, B, B to get a certain response but is something happening in its natural course.

Haha, very true. You wish you can help change others, but it is up to them to change themselves. Not enough evolutionary pressure in a man causes him to become stagnant. Visualizing an ideal day... except that there’s no such thing as an ideal day. A day is a day, that’s it. It’s up to you how you want to perceive that day as good or shitty. Visualizing is a great tool, but without the action of going through the fire that a man must do (ie. actually coming up to a girl nervous as fuck without trying to change how he feels) to improve himself, it’s useless.

I don’t understand. How do you become high-value without knowing how to talk to women? I mean, doesn’t being high-value imply a high level of social skill? Being high-value isn’t just some la-la-land idea you’ve come up with in your head that doesn’t come without its merits, social savviness being one of them. Being high-value and knowing how to talk to women are not mutually exclusive.

Want to build impeccable frame? Allow yourself to fail again, again, and yet again. Be extremely open to experience. Allow yourself to be vulnerable, emotionally and mentally. Trust that your intuition will guide you throughout the process. Ask to see what is, not what you hope and wish things to be. Go through the painful humiliations, pain and sadness in order to succeed. Frame is not an ethereal idea you put in your head that says “I am this person.” You are much more than that.

This is where mindfulness seriously helps. Well a lot of things in your post are possible to have their own post themselves. But a lot of mental defense (trying to protect your position as to why you did the things you did) is fused with your other points. I say pay attention to where you are logically defending your reasonings, and look at the personal improvement aspects of your posts, and make posts of their own (that Hof guy, why contrast showers are helpful in its own post, and charisma can have its own post as well). I love that you are able to put things in great analyzation- you are a great thinker. However, understand that your point can be simplified in simple terms, which in this case you're saying "be curious- explore possibilities." The reason why you haven't gained traction is because you're elaborating on a concept that is already simple in its own accord, and because of that there's a disconnect to the readers of this post. Don't be discouraged though

You're over analyzing what's simple. Mindfulness ultimately isn't about analyzing everything you have to do it life in order to become more "fulfilled," and if you do that, you've missed the point. You're trying to find fulfillment outside of yourself (rabbit holes). Ultimately mindfulness is just being- not stuck inside your head so much, analyzing every fucking thing you can do to tell your ego you've done well. Stay present. With mindfulness meditation, you become more apt to using all of your senses. During a conversation, never think of what you say next- listen to the other person with FULL attention. Your natural word association skills will take hold. Also, if you overthink and keep thinking what to say next in a conversation, you will be much more apt to come across as awkward.

I'm at the point where I'm in the moment 85-90% of my day. When I wake up in the morning or when I'm tired, a ton of emotions and thoughts are rushing through my mind that it takes a bit to quiet them down. That moment where you feel that clearness of the mind can be achieved continuously assuming you practice meditation and actively focus on being mindful. I realize myself too that stoicism very much equates the principles that I experience.
